IIHS 50th anniversary demonstration test • September 9, 2009
In the 50 years since US insurers organized the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, car crashworthiness has improved. Demonstrating this was a crash test conducted between a 1959 Chevrolet Bel Air and a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu. In a real-world collision similar to this test, occupants of the new model would fare much better than in the vintage Chevy.
"It was night and day, the difference in occupant protection," says Institute president Adrian Lund. "What this test shows is that automakers don't build cars like they used to. They build them better."
The crash test was conducted at an event to celebrate the contributions of auto insurers to highway safety progress over 50 years. Beginning with the Institute's 1959 founding, insurers have maintained the resolve, articulated in the 1950s, to "conduct, sponsor, and encourage programs designed to aid in the conservation and preservation of life and property from the hazards of highway accidents."

1959 was the seismic year jazz broke away from complex bebop music to new forms, allowing soloists unprecedented freedom to explore and express. It was also a pivotal year for America: the nation was finding its groove, enjoying undreamt-of freedom and wealth social, racial and upheavals were just around the corner and jazz was ahead of the curve.
Four major jazz albums were made, each a high watermark for the artists and a powerful reflection of the times. Each opened up dramatic new possibilities for jazz which continue to be felt Miles Davis Kind of Blue Dave Brubeck, Time Out Charles Mingus, Mingus Ah Um; and Ornette Coleman, The Shape of Jazz to Come.
Rarely seen archive performances help vibrantly bring the era to life and explore what made these albums vital both in 1959 and the 50 years since. The programme contains interviews with Lou Reed, Dave Brubeck, Ornette Coleman, Charlie Haden, Herbie Hancock, Joe Morello (Brubecks drummer) and Jimmy Cobb (the only surviving member of Miles band) along with a host of jazz movers and shakers from the 50s and beyond.

Los centavos de estados unidos es una de las colecciones mas fasiles y al mismo tiempo una de las mas buscadas por los coleccionistas y personas particulares porque existen un montón de monedas de estas que están en una condición muy buena y ademas son atractivos para casar errores y variaciones.
Estas monedas de un centavo se acuñaron en 1959 asta el 2008 pero se las cambio y ahora existen otras monedas con otro diseño, existen algunas variaciones como son los pennys de 1982 ya que estas monedas tienen diferentes materiales de fabricación también no son caras pero es algo que vale coleccionar.
Aun que no son caros en en condiciones normales, sin ningún error algunos pueden alcanzar precios considerables y buenos.

Hamilton Leithauser is the lead singer of the American rock bands The Recoys and The Walkmen.
Following the possible breakup of The Walkmen in late 2013, Leithauser began a solo career. His debut full-length, Black Hours, was released June 3, 2014.

IIHS 50th anniversary demonstration test • September 9, 2009 In the 50 years since US insurers organized the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, car crashworthiness has improved. Demonstrating this was a crash test conducted between a 1959 Chevrolet Bel Air and a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu. In a real-world collision similar to this test, occupants of the new model would fare much better than in the vintage Chevy. "It was night and day, the difference in occupant protection," says Institute president Adrian Lund. "What this test shows is that automakers don't build cars like they used to. Los centavos de estados unidos es una de las colecciones mas fasiles y al mismo tiempo una de las mas buscadas por los coleccionistas y personas particulares porque existen un montón de monedas de estas que están en una condición muy buena y ademas son atractivos para casar errores y variaciones.
Estas monedas de un centavo se acuñaron en 1959 asta el 2008 pero se las cambio y ahora existen otras monedas con otro diseño, existen algunas variaciones como son los pennys de 1982 ya que estas monedas tienen diferentes materiales de fabricación también no son caras pero es algo que vale coleccionar.
Aun que no son caros en en condiciones normales, sin ningún error algunos pueden alcanzar precios considerables y buenos.

IIHS 50th anniversary demonstration test • September 9, 2009 In the 50 years since US insurers organized the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, car crashworthiness has improved. Demonstrating this was a crash test conducted between a 1959 Chevrolet Bel Air and a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu. In a real-world collision similar to this test, occupants of the new model would fare much better than in the vintage Chevy. In the 50 years since US insurers organized the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, car crashworthiness has improved. Demonstrating this was a crash test conducted between a 1959 Chevrolet Bel Air and a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu. In a real-world collision similar to this test, occupants of the new model would fare much better than in the vintage Chevy.
"It was night and day, the difference in occupant protection," says Institute president Adrian Lund. "What this test shows is that automakers don't build cars like they used to. They build them better."
The crash test was conducted at an event to celebrate the contributions of auto insurers to highway safety progress over 50 years. Beginning with the Institute's 1959 founding, insurers have maintained the resolve, articulated in the 1950s, to "conduct, sponsor, and encourage programs designed to aid in the conservation and preservation of life and property from the hazards of highway accidents."

Los centavos de estados unidos es una de las colecciones mas fasiles y al mismo tiempo una de las mas buscadas por los coleccionistas y personas particulares porque existen un montón de monedas de estas que están en una condición muy buena y ademas son atractivos para casar errores y variaciones.
Estas monedas de un centavo se acuñaron en 1959 asta el 2008 pero se las cambio y ahora existen otras monedas con otro diseño, existen algunas variaciones como son los pennys de 1982 ya que estas monedas tienen diferentes materiales de fabricación también no son caras pero es algo que vale coleccionar.
Aun que no son caros en en condiciones normales, sin ningún error algunos pueden alcanzar precios considerables y buenos.
