Seth (Hebrew: שֵׁת, Standard Šet, Tiberian Šēṯ; Arabic: شيث Shith or Shiyth; "Placed; appointed"), in Judaism, Christianity and Islam, he was the third son of Adam and Eve and brother of Cain and Abel, who were the only other of their children mentioned by name. According to Genesis 4:25, Seth was born after the slaying of Abel by Cain, and Eve believed God had appointed him as a replacement for Abel.
According to Genesis, Seth was born when Adam was 130 years old "a son in his likeness and image." The genealogy is repeated at 1 Chronicles 1:1-3. Genesis 5:4-5 states that Adam fathered "sons and daughters" before his death, aged 930 years. In Genesis 4:25, there is a folk etymology for Seth's name, which derives it from the Hebrew word for "plant" as in "plant a seed" (syt). Eve says, "God has planted another seed, under/replacing Abel's". Seth lived to the age of 912.
Rashi (Rabbi Shlomo Yitzhaqi) refers to Seth as the ancestor of Noah and hence the father of all mankind, all other humans having perished in the Great Flood.
Seth Gordon (born July 15, 1974) is an American film director, producer, screenwriter and film editor. He has produced and directed both film and TV for various film and television studios, including PBS, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and the United Nations 1% For Development Fund. His films have been featured at the Sundance Film Festival and Slamdance Film Festival.
Gordon was born in Evanston, Illinois, and has lived in New York, London and Seattle. In Seattle, Seth attended and graduated from Lakeside School, the alma mater of Bill Gates, Paul Allen, Craig Mccaw, and Daniel Wu. He then attended Yale University where he studied architecture and was elected to Wolf's Head Society. While in school he spent six months in Kenya to help develop the school and infrastructure for the small village of Shimanyiro in Kenya. In one instance, Gordon's having securing funding for a local school led to a crisis involving "an imbalance of need and greed", which itself provided the basis for an early film project. When he returned to Yale, Gordon taught himself how to edit his footage on an Avid editing machine. Gordon also attended Harvard Graduate School of Design. He has said some of his influences are Christopher Guest, Alexander Payne, and Alejandro González Iñárritu.
Seth Rogen (pronounced /ˈroʊɡɪn/; born April 15, 1982) is a Canadian stand-up comedian, actor, producer, screenwriter, and voice artist. Rogen began his career doing stand-up comedy during his teen years, winning the Vancouver Amateur Comedy Contest in 1998. While still living in his native Vancouver, he landed a small part in Freaks and Geeks. Shortly after Rogen moved to Los Angeles for his role, Freaks and Geeks was canceled after one season due to poor ratings. He then got a part on the equally short-lived Undeclared, which also hired him as a staff writer.
After landing a job as a staff writer on the final season of Da Ali G Show, for which Rogen and the other writers received an Emmy nomination, he was guided by film producer Judd Apatow toward a film career. Rogen was cast in a major supporting role and credited as a co-producer in Apatow's directorial debut, The 40-Year-Old Virgin. After Rogen received critical praise for that performance, Universal Pictures agreed to cast him as the lead in Apatow's directorial feature films Knocked Up and Funny People. Rogen and his comedy partner Evan Goldberg co-wrote the films Superbad, Pineapple Express, and The Green Hornet. Rogen has done voice work for the films Horton Hears a Who!, Kung Fu Panda, Monsters vs. Aliens, and Paul. He married fellow screenwriter Lauren Miller in October 2011.
They told me be careful
They said be weary of you
They warn persistence is the fatal flaw
I find myself waiting
Find myself hoping that you?l
One day fall into my open arms
But it? ok, you can just call me friend
Even though I mind I?l just take the backseat again
In the end I? here
In the end just sit and stare
The season change not making way
As I? just waiting waiting waiting for you
But I?e been here a time or two
Like trying to fight the dying breath
Why is every step I take so damn hard
I?e got some battle wounds from this
I?e got the sinking feeling in my skin
I? getting tired of the night
Just waiting for the light
But it? ok, you can just call me friend
Even though I mind I?l just take the backseat again
In the end I? here
In the end just sit and stare
The season change not making way
As I? just waiting waiting waiting for you
But it? ok, you can just call me friend
Even though I mind I?l just take the backseat again
In the end I? here
In the end just sit and stare
The season change not making way
As I? just waiting waiting waiting for you
They said be weary of you
Whoa, oh, oh, (x3) Yeah...
Whoa, oh, oh, (x3) Yeah...
I've always been a friend in your eyes,
Watching you chase the wrong guys,
And it hurts to know,
When they take you home.
When I tell you what I'm thinking,
you either wanna kiss or kill me,
Cause it's do or die,
Time to cross this line.
I need a chance,
I need a plan,
I wanna stand in front of you and bare it all.
Something to say to change the way,
you're thinking of me,
Gotta let it go!
I wonder what you look like naked!
Baby, baby, please don't hate me.
Tried to bite my tongue,
That just left me numb.
I wonder what you look like naked!
I wonder what you sound like saying:
I, I do. I, want you.
Whoa, oh, oh, (x3) Yeah...
You got so drunk that one night,
You were holding my hand so tight.
Helped find your phone,
Had to carry you home.
You were laughing so hard that you cried,
About everything wrong with your life.
As I wiped your tears,
It was so damn clear.
I need a chance,
I need a plan,
I wanna stand in front of you and bare it all.
Something to say to change the way,
you're thinking of me,
Gotta let it go!
I wonder what you look like naked!
Baby, baby, please don't hate me.
Tried to bite my tongue,
That just left me numb.
I wonder what you look like naked!
I wonder what you sound like saying:
I, I do. I, want you.
Come on, come on, come on,
Just face it.
Come on, come on, come on,
We can't fake it.
This is love, this is love, whoa...
Come on, come on, come on,
Just face it.
Come on, come on, come on,
We can't fake it.
This is love, this is love, this is love.
Ooooh...
Haven't you noticed the way I look at you?
Gotta let it go!
I wonder what you look like naked!
Baby, baby, please don't hate me.
Tried to bite my tongue,
That just left me numb.
I wonder what you look like naked!
I wonder what you sound like saying:
I, I do. I, want you.
Whoa, oh, oh, (x3)
This is love, this is love, whoa...
Come on, come on, come on,
Just face it.
Come on, come on, come on,
We can't fake it.
This is love, this is love, this is love.
