Police believe a stolen bobcat was used to damage facilities at Amaroo Oval in Gungahlin on Saturday night.
ACT Policing was called to the oval about 8am on Sunday where they found the bobcat had smashed into the canteen and knocked over trees and goalposts.
The canteen was "pretty hammered", a police spokesman said.
The bobcat was taken from a nearby building site.
Police urged anyone with information to contact ACT Policing or Crimestoppers.
