Avondale may refer to:
Avondale College of Higher Education is an Australian tertiary education provider affiliated with the Seventh-day Adventist Church. It is a part of the Seventh-day Adventist education system, the world's second largest Christian school system.
Avondale College has two campuses, the Lake Macquarie campus being the primary campus situated in Cooranbong, New South Wales. The other campus is located at Sydney Adventist Hospital in the Sydney suburb of Wahroonga and is the main campus of the nursing school.
Avondale College primarily focuses in the areas of teaching, theology, and nursing, but also offers bachelor's degrees in business, science and the arts as well as certificate studies in outdoor recreation. The nursing programme commences at the Cooranbong campus for one or two semesters and is completed at the Sydney Adventist Hospital with hands-on experience gained in the hospital. Master's degrees are offered in theology, education, nursing, ministry, and some business related fields by distance education, including a one-month on-campus component in the winter semester.
The Dubliners were an Irish folk band founded in Dublin in 1962. The band started off as The Ronnie Drew Ballad Group, named in honour of its founding member; they subsequently renamed themselves as The Dubliners. The group line-up saw many changes over their fifty-year career. However, the group's success was centred on lead singers Luke Kelly and Ronnie Drew, both of whom are now deceased. The band garnered international success with their lively Irish folk songs, traditional street ballads and instrumentals. The band were regulars on the folk scenes in both Dublin and London in the early 1960s, until they were signed to the Major Minor label in 1965 after backing from Dominic Behan. They went on to receive extensive airplay on Radio Caroline, and eventually appeared on Top of the Pops in 1967 with hits "Seven Drunken Nights" (which sold over 250,000 copies in the UK) and "Black Velvet Band". Often performing political songs considered controversial at the time, they drew criticism from some folk purists and Ireland’s national broadcaster RTÉ had placed an unofficial ban on their music from 1967–71. During this time the band's popularity began to spread across mainland Europe and they appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show in the United States. The group's success remained steady right through the 1970s and a number of collaborations with The Pogues in 1987 saw them enter the UK Singles Chart on another two occasions.
If youre gonna rip my heart out, could you use a knife thats dull and rust in color. (Once I die) there will be no way that you can cover, that scar. Its hard. I know. And if I get a little blood on you, finally the world will know youre guilty, (know you're wrong) of taking everything youve gotten from me no heart, its hard. I know. When youre finished with the surgery I really hope that you will turn to me and tell me all about the fun you had when you were cutting up, you were cutting up. Performed by the Avondale Theatre Company the weekend of July 19-21, 2012. This original production of Andrew Lloyd Webber & Tim Rice's rock opera was put together in only three weeks of building and rehearsals at Avondale High School in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Music was recorded in the three months preceding. The entire cast and crew was made up of current high school students, alumni going all the way back to the class of 1989, younger kids from elementary and middle schools, and two teachers. In memory of Rick Shelley (Pontius Pilate) who sadly passed away only five weeks after this performance. 0:00:00 | Prologue 0:02:57 | Overture 0:06:56 | Heaven on Their Minds 0:11:21 | What's the Buzz? 0:13:49 | Strange Thing Mystifying 0:15:41 | Everything's Alright 0:20:09 | Then We Are Decid...

They captured the theme of the Avondale Sunday Market to present the Multicultural face of Auckland. This is the shorter version -The original work is 15 minutes.

Chorus:
Oh, have you been to Avondale
And lingered in her lovely vale?
Where tall trees whisper low the tale
Of Avondale's proud eagle.
Where pride and ancient glory fade,
Such was the land where he was laid,
Like Christ was thirty pieces paid,
For Avondale's proud eagle.
Long years that green and lovely glade,
Have lost for now our grandest Gael,
And Cursed the land that has betrayed,
