Minutes later, Anwar Teriaki, 21, was found shot dead outside a Roxburgh Park home on Coronet Avenue.

Mr Teriaki, who lived with his parents at the opposite end of the street, was an associate of the Tiba crime family.Â
The Tibas have been linked to at least six non-fatal shootings in the north-western suburbs since last September.Â
A number of men were seen on Coronet Avenue about 12.30am Wednesday, before shots were fired.Â
Roxburgh Park residents said a car turned into the street before making two U-turns and firing shots.
It is believed Mr Teriaki took cover behind a brick fence at the front of a family home.
"I think it was four men," one woman, who declined to give her name, said. "They came looking for this man, where is he, they were looking for him.
"I think he hid himself behind the fence, before they came to look for him.
"I saw them come this way and stop ... [then] they're shooting four times."
Mr Teriaki was due to face court later this month charged with affray and assault offences for allegedly taking part in a violent brawl at a house in Broadmeadows last year.Â
A co-accused is Ali Tiba, the youngest of the eight Tiba brothers.
It is understood Mr Teriaki worked as a driver for the clan.Â
Some of the violence linked to the Tibas is suspected to have originated from tensions within the prison system.Â
Police and underworld sources say that while the drug trade is the reason for most of the shootings in the region, petty feuds are also the motivation for serious maimings or deaths.
It is believed Mr Teriaki, a former Northern Saints player, was banned for life from the Essendon District Football League when he was 18 after being found guilty by a tribunal of kicking an opponent during a match in 2014.
Reports at the time alleged a 17-year-old Essendon Doutta Stars player was kicked unconscious during a melee in the under-18s game.
Distressed family and friends arrived at the scene of Wednesday's shooting throughout the day, embracing and giving their condolences to the grieving family.
A group of about 20 young men walked between the home and the crime scene.
At one point the men gathered outside the house and inspected the area behind the brick fence, where it is believed Mr Teriaki was hiding.
The family declined to speak to media. "Please respect our wishes we don't want to talk to no one," one male relative said.
Friends of Mr Teriaki paid tribute to him on social media, saying he had a "heart of gold" and would be missed.
Meanwhile, in what appears to be an unrelated shooting in Reservoir, a man is in hospital with lower leg injuries after police were called to a shooting at a unit on Wagga Road about 9pm on Tuesday.
The man's injuries are not critical and police are still trying to establish the circumstances of the shooting.
