Jaz Mooney's Pelathon Management Group has offloaded its newly refurbished Orana Hotel in the Lake Macquarie suburb of Blacksmiths in NSW for $4.2 million.
A local publican snapped up the pub with a TAB, gaming lounge and beer garden on a 2307sq m site.
Pelathon bought the property last year from bankruptcy trustee BRI Ferrier, acting for the estate of long-time owner Malcolm Downie.
This follows the sale of another Lake Macquarie pub, the Laundy family's Swansea Hotel, which sold for $13 million last year.
CBRE's Daniel Dragicevich and Ben McDonald negotiated the sale.
Merry Merrimac
On the Gold Coast, pub and retail property the Merrimac Tavern, at 10-16 Merrilaine Crescent, also sold for $4.55 million.
A local investor beat 12 bidders to the 3548sq m property at auction.
The property returns a net annual income of $347,629, anchored by three leases until 2026 with options.
Ray White's Michael Willems sold the property for a private owner.
Wonderful Wagga Wagga
In Wagga Wagga, NSW, investors exchanged the Home Hotel at 142 Fitzmaurice Street for $2.7 million through an expressions of interest sale by Ray White's Blake Edwards and Xavier Plunkett.
The sale includes an adjacent commercial building containing a commercial kitchen on two blocks totalling 1827sq m.
The pub has a front bar, a TAB and gaming room, a band room and function rooms. There is a Chinese restaurant sub-lease on site.

An offshore investment group has acquired a food processing facility in Morningside, Queensland for $9.1 million in an off-market transaction.

A locally developer has scooped up a fully leased 368sq m retail property at 255 High Street, Melton in Melbourne for $1.411 million.
