An Armadale tradie was working the nightshift when his wife called him to let him know they had scooped last week's entire $6 million, division one OzLotto prize.
The 35-year-old was at work when he realised he had "about 100 missed calls" from his wife.
"When she finally got through to me, she told me to sit down and not to stress, before telling me we'd won the Lotto," he said.
"It could have been a combination of nightshift and nerves but while she was busy screaming I began feeling light-headed.
"It didn't take me long to pull myself together and remind her that I could now buy that BBQ I had my eye on."
After putting the excitement of a possible sausage sizzle on the backburner, the young family paid a visit to Lotterywest HQ where they confirmed they were WA's newest millionaires.
The family purchased their winning ticket from Carousel Lottery Centre & News, and the unnamed wife and mum said it was "still sinking in" they could now purchase a bigger family home for their children.
"We can probably afford to pay the rates now too," she said.
"We couldn't ask for anything more than a nice house for our kids to grow up in."
The $6 million win comes just days after a mother and daughter from East Victoria Park came forward to claim their $720,000 division one prize from Saturday's Lotto draw.
The daughter said her main goal was to get her 15-year-old Toyota Corolla serviced.
The pair's ticket was one of three division one wins in the state and Lotterywest said they were still waiting for one more lucky winner who purchased their ticket at Kwinana Hub Lottery Centre & News to come forward with their ticket.
