WATCH: Mets' Noah Syndergaard makes long-awaited cameo on 'Game of Thrones'

NEW YORK -- Blink and you might miss it.

While the Los Angeles Dodgers were busy slaughtering the Mets on national TV on Sunday night, injured ace Noah Syndergaard had his hands full in Westeros. Syndergaard's long-awaited cameo on HBO's Game of Thrones was finally broadcast for the world to see, but apparently much of the world seemed to have missed it.

Syndergaard's part as a Lannister soldier was so brief that many failed to realize they were watching Thor throw a spear in the middle of a battle scene. Don't worry, he didn't tear his lat while throwing it, but no word on just how fast the toss was.

Apparently, JUGS guns didn't exist in the year 298 AC.

Mets 1-hit by Dodgers

Syndergaard has been on the disabled list with a partially-torn lat since May 1. He's been on the mend and is aiming for a return before the end of the season. Mets assistant general manager John Ricco told reporters in Denver last week that Thor has been in Florida rehabbing and has graduated to playing long-toss. He's not quite as far along as Matt Harvey, who threw his first bullpen on Sunday, or even his roommate Robert Gsellman, who is rehabbing his hamstring in Double-A Binghamton, but it's a step in the right direction.

It's not Syndergaard's first foray into acting, as he guest starred in the CBS sitcom Kevin can Wait last fall with noted Mets fan Kevin James.

Here's what Twitter had to say about Syndergaard's role.
