Nitish Kumar (born 1 March 1951) is an Indian politician who has been Chief Minister of Bihar since February 2015. Previously he served as the Chief Minister of Bihar from 2005 to 2014 and served as a minister in the Union Government of India. He belongs to the Janata Dal (United) party. He endeared himself to Biharis, used to low expectations from previous regimes, when as Chief Minister, his socialist policies bore dividends in appointing more than 100,000 school teachers, ensuring that doctors worked in primary health centers, electrification of villages, paving of roads, cutting female illiteracy by half, turning around a lawless state by cracking down on criminals and doubling the income of the average Bihari
On 17 May 2014 he resigned, owning responsibility for his party's poor performance in the 2014 general elections, and was succeeded by Jitan Ram Manjhi. However, he returned to office in February 2015 after a political crisis and won the state elections of November 2015.
The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD- "National People's Party") is an Indian political party, based in the northern state of Bihar. The party was founded in 1997 by Lalu Prasad Yadav. The mass base of the party has traditionally been Yadavs and Muslims, two large and relatively politically active segments of Bihar's population. In 2008, RJD received the status of recognized national level party following its performance in north-eastern states. RJD was derecognised as a national party on 30 July 2010.
On 5 July 1997, Lalu Prasad, Raghuvansh Prasad Singh, Kanti Singh along with seventeen Loksabha MPs and eight Rajyasabha MPs along with supporters gathered at New Delhi formed the new political party, Rashtriya Janata Dal. It was formed as breakaway of Janata Dal. Lalu Prasad was elected as the first president of RJD.
In the March 1998 national elections, RJD won 17 Lok Sabha seats from Bihar but failed to make significant headway in any other state. Later that year, the party formed an alliance with Mulayam Singh Yadav's Samajwadi Party as an anti-Bharatiya Janata Party secular coalition but the coalition failed in garnering any widespread support.
Sharad Yadav, is a politician from the Janata Dal (United) party. He is current representing the state of Bihar in the Rajya Sabha, the upper house of the Indian Parliament. He has been elected to Lok Sabha seven times and to Rajya Sabha twice. He has been the national president of Janata Dal (United) since its formation.
He was born on 1 July 1947 in a farmers' family of modest means at Akhmau village in Hoshangabad district of Madhya Pradesh. Educated at Robertson College and Jabalpur Engineering College, Jabalpur,Madhya Pradesh in B.E. (civil).Gold Medalist in B.E. from Jabalpur Engineering College; President, Students Union, Jabalpur, Engineering College, 1971; influenced by the teachings of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia; active youth leader and participated in a number of mass movements; Detained under MISA during 1969-70, 1972 and 1975; played a significant role in the implementation of Mandal Commission recommendations.

It was the time when JP Movement was on peak and he was the first candidate chosen by Shri Jai Prakash Narayan for political arena on election symbol of Haldar Kisan. Again, he was elected from the same constituency in 1977. He was elected from Baduan (UP) Lok Sabha constituency in the year 1989. Thereafter, he has been contesting from Madhepura (Bihar) Lok Sabha constituency. Sharad Yadav has so far after the year 1991 has won from Madhepura Parliamentary Constituency till 2014. In such a situation, now RJD President Lalu Prasad has joined in an effort to bring him back. He has appealed to join RJD from Sharad. Lalu told that he has spoken to Sharad Yadav on the phone in this regard.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has said that his support for the centre's demonetisation move shouldn't be interpreted as a sign that he was close to allying once again with the BJP. "I support demonetisation because I believe it is a good step. A political meaning should not be drawn from it," he said today at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit, referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's decision to scrap old 500 and 1,000-rupee notes which has been challenged by most of the opposition. If Demonetisation helps to counter the menace of corruption, black money, terrorism and fake notes then it should be supported. This is also a good time to deal with Benami property. And there should also be a nation-wide ban on alcohol, Bihar CM, Nitish Kumar said in an exclusive interview with Prashant Jha. Keitä me olemme, mitä kieltä me puhumme?
On vaikea ymmärtää, on vaikea ymmärtää
Me poteroita kaivamme elämään ja astumme niihin asumaan
Elämä on reiässä rattoisaa
Reiässä, jonka ympärillä on vain oma perse
CHORUS:
Yksi suudelma on suuri sinfonia, jossa takana rakkaus on peloton
Ja taidetta on pelata jalkapalloa ja antaa kaikkensa
CHORUS
Keitä me olemme, mitä kieltä me puhumme?
On vaikea ymmärtää, on vaikea ymmärtää
Me poteroita kaivamme elämään ja astumme niihin asumaan
Elämä on reiässä rattoisaa
