Seoul is a wonderful city to live in. There are many sights and sounds to experience!
This video was filmed on April 11th, during the Cherry Blossom festival at Yeouido Park, along the Han River in Seoul.
Cherry blossoms (벚꽃 'beotkkot') are all over South Korea and there are many festivals revolving around the blossoming of these beautiful trees around the country. In Seoul, the most popular place to see these trees is at Yeouido Park.
Literally, hundreds of thousands of people come to Yeouido to experience the cherry blossom festival, take pictures, have picnics and play in the park. It's a great time for families and friends to enjoy the spring weather after a long and cold winter.
It almost becomes a mad rush to see cherry blossoms because they only stay in full bloom for about 10 days and then petals begin to fall right away. After just one rain fall, almost 75% of the petals will be washed away to the ground.

One of the great things about Seoul is the large number of green spaces. Along either side of the Han River that splits Seoul are many Han River Parks. One of my favorites is the Yeouido Han River Park. Located just outside exit 3 of Yeouinaru Station, the Yeouido Han River Park has several convenience stores located nearby, making it easy to grab a few beers and relax.
May come to Yeouido Han River Park to play soccer, toss a ball, or Frisbee. If you're hungry, you can even call up a restaurant and they'll deliver it out to you. Another great feature of the park is the running and bike paths. A few times, I've even rented bikes here - making it a perfect day.
After a fun day in the park, you can even catch a water taxi to go over to the north side of the river.

Yeouido
Yeouido (Yoi Island or Yeoui Island) is a large island in the Han River in Seoul, South Korea. It is Seoul's main business and investment banking district. Its 8.4 square kilometers are home to some 30,988 people. The island is located in the Yeongdeungpo-gu district of Seoul, and largely corresponds to the precinct of Yeouido-dong. The island contains the National Assembly Building, where the National Assembly of South Korea meets, Korea Financial Investment Association, the large Yoido Full Gospel Church, the 63 Building, and the headquarters of LG, KBS, and the Korea Exchange Center.
History
Being a vacant spot convenient to the national capital of Joseon, Yeouido was used as a national pasture for sheep and goats, according to a 16th-century geographical record. When the Han River flooded, only a small patch of high ground remained above river level: the name of the island means "You can have it (Useless)". Yeouido remained for the most part an uninhabited sandbar prior to the construction of Seoul's first airport in April 1924. The airport served both international, domestic, and military flights, and was also the site of a flight school. At that time the island was part of Goyang. The six-lane bridge connecting it to the mainland of Yeongdeungpo was constructed in 1970 as part of Han River development project led by President Park Jung-Hee, after which time development took place rapidly. Yeouido-dong was formed as a separate entity in 1971. Yeouido is also called Korea's Wall Street and houses many broadcasting stations, including KBS and MBC.

Yeouido Park
Yeouido Park (Hangul: 여의도공원; hanja: 汝矣島公園; RR: Yeouido Gongwon) is a park in Yeouido-dong, Yeongdeungpo District, Seoul, South Korea. The park has a large open area which is popular with bicyclists and skateboarders, and breaks into footpaths lined with trees and seasonal flowers.

listen), officially the Republic of Korea (Hangul: 대한민국; hanja: 大韓民國; RR: Daehanminguk, listen) and commonly referred to as Korea, is a sovereign state in East Asia, constituting the southern part of the Korean Peninsula. The name Korea is derived from the ancient Kingdom of Goguryeo, also known as Koryŏ. Highly urbanized at 92%, Koreans lead a distinctive urban lifestyle with half of them living in the Seoul Capital Area, the world's second largest city with over 25 million residents and a leading global city with the fourth largest economy, rated in 2016 as the world's most livable megacity and safest city to live in. Highly mountainous, Korea is a popular winter sport destination in Asia, hosting the 2018 Winter Olympics.
The earliest Korean pottery dates to 8000 BC, with three kingdoms flourishing at 1st century BC. One of them, Goguryeo, ruled Northeast China, parts of Russia and Mongolia under Gwanggaeto the Great. Since their unification into Silla and Balhae in the 7th century, Korea enjoyed over a millennium of relative tranquility under long lasting dynasties with innovations like Hangul, the unique alphabet created by Sejong the Great in 1446, enabling anyone to easily learn to read and write. Its rich and vibrant culture left 17 UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritages of Humanity, the third largest in the world, along with 12 World Heritage Sites. Korea was annexed by Imperial Japan in 1910 due to its strategic and central location, after whose surrender in 1945, it was divided into North and South Korea. A North Korean invasion lead to the Korean War (1950–53). Peace has since mostly continued with the two agreeing to work peacefully for reunification and the South solidifying peace as a regional power with the world's 10th largest defence budget and strong global alliances. In 2016, Korea was rated as the world's safest country to live in, with the lowest crime rate.

Seoul is a wonderful city to live in. There are many sights and sounds to experience! This video was filmed on April 11th, during the Cherry Blossom festival at Yeouido Park, along the Han River in Seoul. Cherry blossoms (벚꽃 'beotkkot') are all over South Korea and there are many festivals revolving around the blossoming of these beautiful trees around the country. In Seoul, the most popular place to see these trees is at Yeouido Park. Literally, hundreds of thousands of people come to Yeouido to experience the cherry blossom festival, take pictures, have picnics and play in the park. Strolling through Yeouido Han River Park
One of the great things about Seoul is the large number of green spaces. Along either side of the Han River that splits Seoul are many Han River Parks. One of my favorites is the Yeouido Han River Park. Located just outside exit 3 of Yeouinaru Station, the Yeouido Han River Park has several convenience stores located nearby, making it easy to grab a few beers and relax. May come to Yeouido Han River Park to play soccer, toss a ball, or Frisbee. If you're hungry, you can even call up a restaurant and they'll deliver it out to you. Another great feature of the park is the running and bike paths. A few times, I've even rented bikes here - making it a perfect day. This video was filmed on April 11th, during the Cherry Blossom festival at Yeouido Park, along the Han River in Seoul.

Literally, hundreds of thousands of people come to Yeouido to experience the cherry blossom festival, take pictures, have picnics and play in the park. It's a great time for families and friends to enjoy the spring weather after a long and cold winter.
It almost becomes a mad rush to see cherry blossoms because they only stay in full bloom for about 10 days and then petals begin to fall right away. After just one rain fall, almost 75% of the petals will be washed away to the ground.

I'm back in Seoul! This time I will show you all the popular touristic places along with all the detailed information you would need (in the video and in the description box).
