Brown is the color of dark wood or rich soil. Brown is a composite color; in printing or painting, brown is made by combining red, black and yellow, or red, yellow and blue. In the RGB color model used to make colors on television screens and computer monitors, brown is made by combining red and green, in specific proportions. The brown color is seen widely in nature, in wood, soil, and human hair color, eye color and skin pigmentation. A St. Louis County grand jury has brought no criminal charges against Darren Wilson, a white police officer who fatally shot Michael Brown, an unarmed African-American teenager, more than three months ago in nearby Ferguson. The decision was announced Monday night by the St. Louis County prosecutor, Robert P. McCulloch, at a news conference packed with reporters from around the world. In an interview with ABC News, Darren Wilson says Michael Brown charged at him and acted hostile toward him.
One year ago, Michael Brown was killed during a confrontation with Ferguson, Missouri, police officer Darren Wilson. The shooting sparked riots across the U.S. and put police procedures under scrutiny. Don Champion is in Ferguson where hundreds came out to remember Michael Brown.
According to officials, some witnesses to Michael Brown's death at the hands of Darren Wilson flat-out lied about what they saw. Wilson fatally shot Brown in Ferguson, Mo. in August, and a St. Louis County grand jury decided not to indict Wilson last month. CNN reports that, although there were many conflicting accounts of what happened on Aug. 9, the grand jury heard from witnesses who admitted to lying. New footage has been released of Michael Brown which attempts to put in context the now-infamous strong-armed robbery footage that had been previously released during the investigation of his “unarmed’ death at the hands of Darren Wilson in Ferguson, Missouri. It was released during South By Southwest (#SXSW) in Austin, Texas in a documentary film entitled “Stranger Fruit.” The film’s producer, Jason Pollock, claims he was in St. Louis (close to Ferguson) for two years putting the documentary together. The new footage was patched together in a way that made it appear as if Brown actually exchanged marijuana for the items he took from the store rather than stealing them. The intention of the film is to essentially vindicate those that say Michael Brown did not rob the store, therefore ...

St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney Robert McCulloch announced Monday night that a grand jury has decided not to indict Darren Wilson, a white police officer, in the shooting death of unarmed black teenager Michael Brown. In his statement, McCulloch emphasized the careful consideration that members of the jury had given each piece of evidence. He also stressed the many inconsistencies between various eyewitness accounts of the shooting and the physical evidence in the case. “Physical evidence does not change because of public pressure or personal agenda,” he said. McCulloch concluded by appealing to demonstrators to continue the conversation started by the shooting, but to do so “in a constructive way and not a destructive way.” Read more from the decision: http://to.pbs.org/1tfLvUO...

Welcome friends from overseas
I'm your guide I aim to please
I know what you want from me
Sights and smiles and history
I'll take you down to the Underground
Tha's where the spirit of the Blitz is found
Hear those sirens over your head?
See that platform, thats your bed
(Chorus)
Who went mad, who drowned in drink?
Who's in a cage and who's extinct?
Who ended up in a uniform?
The Lion and The Unicorn
Here's the church there's the steeple
Open it up where are the people?
Thinking up ways to take your dough
By deal or scheme or unseen blow
Now out to the shires where the towns are quaint
We spruced them up with a coat of paint
That white paint don't cover up dirt
Bandages don't cover up hurt
(Chorus)
I'll tell you tales of kings and sailors
Puritans, outlaws, thieves and traitors
Show you round the land we made
Whisper something we betrayed
So where's the hope, where's the reason?
Poisoned by the years of treason
Where's the justice where's the grace?
Disappeared without a trace
(Chorus X2)
