Tim Pool

Timothy Pool (born March 9, 1986) is an award winning American journalist from Chicago, Illinois. In 2011, his 21-hour marathon during the Occupy Wall Street protests reporting earned him notoriety when he primarily reported using mobile technology for social media and live broadcasting.

Personal life

Pool grew up in Chicago's southside to a lower-middle-class family. Pool did not attend college instead deciding to focus on work with non-profits where he became a community outreach director. He traveled to NYC to report on the Occupy Wall Street movement in mid-September 2011 during the first week of the protest.

Career

Pool's coverage has been carried and syndicated by multiple mainstream outlets such as NBC, Reuters, Al Jazeera, RT, and TIME. He has also been featured in Fast Company, Wired, and Time.

In 2013 Pool joined Vice Media producing and hosting content as well as developing new methods of reporting.

In 2014, he joined Fusion TV as Director of Media innovation and Senior Correspondent.

Hoboken, New Jersey

Hoboken (/ˈhoʊboʊkən/ HO-bo-ken;Unami: Hupokàn) is a city in Hudson County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the city's population was 50,005, having grown by 11,428 (+29.6%) from 38,577 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn increased by 5,180 (+15.5%) from the 33,397 in the 1990 Census. Hoboken is part of the New York metropolitan area and is the site of Hoboken Terminal, a major transportation hub for the region.

Hoboken was first settled as part of the Pavonia, New Netherland colony in the 17th century. During the early 19th century the city was developed by Colonel John Stevens, first as a resort and later as a residential neighborhood. It became a township in 1849 and was incorporated as a city in 1855. Hoboken is the location of the first recorded game of baseball (although this is disputed) and of the Stevens Institute of Technology, one of the oldest technological universities in the United States.

Located on the Hudson Waterfront, the city was an integral part of the Port of New York and New Jersey and home to major industries for most of the 20th century. It is also well known for being the birthplace and hometown of American singer Frank Sinatra, one of the most popular and most influential musical acts of the 20th century, and there are parks and streets located in the city that are named for him. The character of the city has changed from a blue collar town to one of upscale shops and condominiums.

The Rubin Report

The Rubin Report is a current events talk show airing on Ora TV and YouTube, hosted by comedian and political satirist Dave Rubin. The show's producer David Janet describes it as "taking a politically incorrect approach at discussing big ideas and current events focusing on politics, religion, and the media. The shows features individuals as well as a panel of guests often consisting of authors, journalists, comedians, and professors."

History

Dave Rubin left The Six Pack radio show on Sirius XM Satellite Radio in New York City in 2013 to launch a politically charged talk show called The Rubin Report in Los Angeles, California.

In 2015, the show briefly moved to RYOT News which "provided Dave Rubin with a great opportunity".

In August 2015, Larry King's Ora TV picked up the show which debuted on September 9, 2015.The Rubin Report became the network's third political commentary show alongside PoliticKING with Larry King and Jesse Ventura's Off The Grid.

Format

From 2013-2015, The Rubin Report featured a panel of two guests and covered weekly news stories ranging from politics to entertainment. After launching on Ora TV in 2015, the show took a more focussed approach on the big ideas relating to politics, religion, as well as a focus on one on one interviews and monologues from Dave Rubin. The Rubin Report consists of three segments, Direct Message, The Sit Down, and The Panel.
