Book of Joel

The Book of Joel is part of the Hebrew Bible. Joel is part of a group of twelve prophetic books known as the Twelve Minor Prophets. (The term indicates the short length of the text in relation to the longer prophetic texts known as the Major Prophets).

Content

After a superscription ascribing the prophecy to Joel (son of Pethuel), the book may be broken down into the following sections:

Lament over a great locust plague and a severe drought (1:1–2:17)

The effects of these events on agriculture, farmers, and on the supply of agricultural offerings for the Temple in Jerusalem, interspersed with a call to national lament. (1:1–20)
A more apocalyptic passage comparing the locusts to an army, and revealing that they are God’s army. (2:1–11)
A call to national repentance in the face of God's judgment. (2:12–17)

The effects of these events on agriculture, farmers, and on the supply of agricultural offerings for the Temple in Jerusalem, interspersed with a call to national lament. (1:1–20)

Your Man

Your Man is the second studio album by country music artist Josh Turner. It released on January 24, 2006 and debuted at No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart, and debuted at No. 1 on the Top Country Albums

"Your Man" was the first single released followed by "Would You Go with Me" and "Me and God." Also included is a cover of Don Williams' 1991 hit single "Lord Have Mercy on a Country Boy".

Grammy Award nominations

Turner received two 2007 Grammy nominations for his work on Your Man. He received a Best Male Country Vocal Performance nomination for the album's first track and second single, "Would You Go with Me" and a Best Country Album nomination.

Your Man debuted at number four on the U.S. Billboard 200, and debuted at number one on the Top Country Albums chart, becoming his first number-one country album. On 02/28/2006 it was certified Gold, on 08/04/2006 it was certified Platinum and on 03/01/2007 it was certified 2× Platinum by the RIAA.

More & More

"More & More" is a song by American recording artist Joe. It was written and produced by R. Kelly for Joe's fifth studio album And Then... (2003). Picked as the album's lead single, the contemporary R&B ballad was released in November 2003 in the United States and reached number 15 on Billboard's US Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. Outside the US, "More & More" was released on a double A-single along with "Ride wit U", which served as the album's first international single.

Critical reception

In their review of And Then..., Vibe called the song "absolutely ravishing. 'More & More' is a languidly erotic blend of lubricious come-ons."

I Wanna Know

"I Wanna Know" is the lead single released from R&B musician Joe's third studio album My Name Is Joe and from the soundtrack to The Wood. The single was a huge hit across the U.S. reaching number four on the Billboard Hot 100 on July 1, 2000 and number two on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart. The single was released in November 1999 and went on to be Joe's third most successful hit in the U.S. behind "Stutter" (a subsequent release which peaked at number one on both the Hot 100 and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks charts) and "Thank God I Found You" alongside Mariah Carey & 98 Degrees, which made it to number one on both formats as well.

"I Wanna Know" topped the Billboard year-end charts for Top R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks Airplay in 2000. Additionally "I Wanna Know" was ranked fourth on Billboard Hot 100's Year-End Charts making it one of Joe's highest finishes on the year end charts.

According to the song's co-producer Edwin "Tony" Nicholas, "I Wanna Know" was originally intended for Joe's previous album All That I Am. He removed the song from the final tracklisting due to taking issue with the label heads wanting to be involved in the creative process. A few years later, he was asked to contribute a song to a soundtrack and claimed he didn't have anything to send to the record label. He then sent in "I Wanna Know" because it happened to be lying around the studio.
