Remix (I Like The)

"Remix (I Like The)" is a song by American pop group New Kids on the Block from their sixth studio album, 10. The song was released as the album's lead single on January 28, 2013. "Remix (I Like The)" was written by Lars Halvor Jensen, Johannes Jørgensen, and Lemar, and it was produced by Deekay. The song features Donnie Wahlberg and Joey McIntyre on lead vocals.

"Remix (I Like The)" did not enter the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States, becoming their first lead single to fail charting since "Be My Girl" (1986). Instead, the song peaked at number 38 on the Adult Pop Songs chart.

Critical reception

PopCrush gave the song 3.5 stars out of five. In her review Jessica Sager wrote, "The song sounds like an adult contemporary answer to The Wanted mixed with Bruno Mars‘ ‘Locked Out of Heaven.’ It has a danceable beat like many of the British bad boys’ tracks, but is stripped down and raw enough to pass for Mars’ latest radio smash as well." Carl Williott of Idolator commended the song's chorus, but criticized its "liberal use of Auto-Tune" and compared Donnie Wahlberg's vocals to Chad Kroeger.

Remix (TV series)

Remix was an Indian television series produced by Rose Audio Visuals, which used to air on STAR One. It was a hit among teenagers and had reruns on the same channel. The series is a remake of the popular Argentine soap Rebelde Way.

Concept

The story is based on the lives of 12th-grade students in an elite school called "Maurya High" for the kids of the rich and the famous, and scholarship students from poorer families.

The four main characters are Tia Ahuja (a fashion entrepreneur's only daughter: Sumit Ahuja), Anvesha Ray Banerjee (a Bollywood filmstar's only daughter: Sonia Ray), Yuvraaj Dev (brat son of India's politician: Yashwant Dev), and Ranveer Sisodia (a Rajasthani royal who comes to Maurya to avenge the death of his father which wasn't really Sumit Ahuja's fault). They form the music group "Remix" and become the singing sensation of the decade.

The story also brings into play other elements that shape the destiny of the four protagonists and many others.

Remix (Mushroomhead album)

The first Remix album released by Mushroomhead in 1997. All tracks are remixes except for "Everyone's Got One" (hence the subtitle "Only Mix"). The last portion of "Episode 29 (Hardcore Mix)" was used on the XX album as "Episode 29". The original release of the "Multimedia Remix" also included recordings of Mushroomhead performing "Born of Desire" and "Chancre Sore" at Nautica in Cleveland (now known as The Scene Pavilion) as well as a video for "Simpleton".

Trousers

Trousers (pants in North America) are an item of clothing worn from the waist to the ankles, covering both legs separately (rather than with cloth extending across both legs as in robes, skirts, and dresses).

In the UK the word "pants" generally means underwear and not trousers.Shorts are similar to trousers, but with legs that come down only to around the area of the knee, higher or lower depending on the style of the garment. Leggings are form-fitting trousers, of a clingy material, often knitted cotton and spandex (elastane).

Phenomenon (film)

Phenomenon is a 1996 American romantic fantasy drama film directed by Jon Turteltaub, written by Gerald Di Pego, as well as starring John Travolta, Kyra Sedgwick, Forest Whitaker, Robert Duvall, and Jeffrey DeMunn.

In the film, an amiable, small-town everyman is inexplicably transformed into a genius with telekinetic powers. The original music score was composed by Thomas Newman. It was filmed in Auburn, Colfax, Davis, Sacramento, Santa Rosa, Sonoma County, and Treasure Island, all in Northern California.

Plot summary

George Malley (John Travolta) is a kind but slow witted auto mechanic who lives in a small friendly town in northern California. While celebrating his 37th birthday at a local bar with his best friend Nate Pope (Forest Whitaker) and father figure Doc Brunder (Robert Duvall), he steps outside. After saying goodbye to one of his employees, he notices what appears to be a ball of shining bright white lights moving around in the sky. The ball then grows closer and hits him in the head, making a loud sound and knocking him down. When he comes to and recovers and re-enters the bar, he learns that nobody else saw the lights or heard the loud sound. His friends playfully suggest that he has had too much to drink and only Doc notices something is amiss when George quickly achieves a checkmate in their chess game.

Phenomenon (soundtrack)

The Phenomenon soundtrack is a compilation album by various artists released for Reprise Records, who contributed to the music score of the 1996 American romantic fantasy drama film Phenomenon, starring John Travolta. The soundtrack features performances by international music stars including Eric Clapton, Bryan Ferry, Peter Gabriel, Diana Ross and Sheryl Crow and went on to be a high-selling soundtrack release. The single "Change the World", performed by Eric Clapton, which was released off the album became a global hit and helped to promote the soundtracks sales figures.

Reception

The soundtrack album topped the Billboard 200 album chart and sold more than 1,5 million copies while on chart, gaining a Platinum disc from the Recording Industry Association of America. Critics from the MovieTunes website called the release "more than simply an aural souvenir of a magical movie experience. It is the cutting edge of a collaborative art-form whose time has come". In his review for the music website AllMusic, journalist and critic Stephen Thomas Erlewine notes:

Phenomenon (Thousand Foot Krutch album)

Phenomenon is the second studio album by Christian rock band Thousand Foot Krutch, and their first project on Tooth & Nail Records. The album was released on September 30, 2003. It displays a different style than the band's previous album, with less rapping and instead, a fusion of modern rock and nu metal.
