Shannon Craig has been exhibiting with PRIME Gallery since beginning her career as an artist. In this her fifth solo exhibition, Canadian Landscapes, much has developed in Craig's painting style. Her work has become more subtle and refined, a paring down to the finite elements of painting which creates a fresh take on Canadian landscapes. The new sophistication in her paintings derives from a range of successful colour contrasts that rely on the complexities within a minimal palette, yet maintaining her signature bold brushwork to create a more impactful encounter with landscapes.

Art museum
An art museum or art gallery is a building or space for the exhibition of art, usually visual art. Museums can be public or private, but what distinguishes a museum is the ownership of a collection. Paintings are the most commonly displayed art objects; however, sculpture, decorative arts, furniture, textiles, costume, drawings, pastels, watercolors, collages, prints, artists' books, photographs, and installation art are also regularly shown. Although primarily concerned with providing a space to show works of visual art, art galleries are sometimes used to host other artistic activities, such as performance art, music concerts, or poetry readings.
Types of galleries
The term is used for both public galleries, which are non-profit or publicly owned museums that display selected collections of art. On the other hand, private galleries refers to the commercial enterprises for the sale of art. However, both types of gallery may host traveling exhibits or temporary exhibitions including art borrowed from elsewhere.

Shannon Falls Provincial Park
Shannon Falls Provincial Park is a provincial park in British Columbia, Canada. It is located 58 kilometers (36 mi) from Vancouver and 2 kilometers (1.2 mi) south of Squamish along the Sea to Sky Highway. Shannon Falls is the third highest waterfall in British Columbia.
The park covers an area of 87 hectares (210 acres). The main point of interest is Shannon Falls, the third highest waterfall in BC, where water falls from a height of 335 meters (1,099 ft). The falls are named after a William Shannon who first settled the property in 1889 and made bricks in the area.
The park also protects the surrounding area on the north-east shore of the Howe Sound.
Just to the north are Murrin Provincial Park and Stawamus Chief Provincial Park. Located immediately across the highway from Shannon Falls is a privately operated campground and restaurant, plus the entrance to the Darrell Bay ferry terminal for Woodfibre (Darrell Bay was formerly named Shannon Bay).
The falls and adjoining woods are commonly used in television and film production.

Kim Young
Young Kim (Korean 김영) (born 2 February 1980) is a South Korean female professional golfer.
Kim was born in Chunchon, South Korea. She played on the LPGA of Korea Tour winning twice between 1998 and 2001. She won once on the Futures Tour in 2001. She played on the LPGA Tour from 2003 to 2009. She won the 2007 LPGA Corning Classic.
Kim's best ever finish in a major championship was a T3 at the 2005 Women's British Open.
Kim was second to Lorena Ochoa for Rookie of the Year in 2003. She is perhaps best known for her different hat wear. Kim, when asked to describe the headgear she was wearing, called it a 'bucket hat'.

Shannon Craig has been exhibiting with PRIME Gallery since beginning her career as an artist. In this her fifth solo exhibition, Canadian Landscapes, much has developed in Craig's painting style. Her work has become more subtle and refined, a paring down to the finite elements of painting which creates a fresh take on Canadian landscapes. The new sophistication in her paintings derives from a range of successful colour contrasts that rely on the complexities within a minimal palette, yet maintaining her signature bold brushwork to create a more impactful encounter with landscapes.

New York,NY- Soho Photo is pleased to announce that its January 2009 guest exhibit is entitled "From Beginning Photographers to Exhibiting Artists," which is also the name of a photography course that Professor T. Lawrence Wheatman leads at NYU's School of Continuing Professional Studies (SCPS) where he has taught for 19 years.
This show marks the first time that a score or more of Wheatman's students from previous semesters are exhibiting together, demonstrating a range of ideas, topics and themes, exposing the skills learned in the 10 week course. Curating this collection, Wheatman demonstrates that inspiration goes a long way toward generating passion in students for their art, and this passion is reflected in the works on display.

So … I guess there is no other way to say this than my wife, Kathy Simpson, and I are very excited to announce the closing of Simpson Gallery at the end of this year ... But, we are NOT going out of business — merely closing the gallery ... In the meantime, we will continue to offer our framing services at the gallery until the end of the year when we will make the move....
What if they held an election and (almost) nobody ran for office?
