News at One may refer to:
The BBC News at One is the afternoon news bulletin from the BBC. Produced by BBC News, the programme is broadcast on BBC One and the BBC News channel every weekday at 1:00pm. The programme is usually presented by Sophie Raworth every Monday to Thursday and Kate Silverton on Friday. However, Silverton is currently on secondment to Radio 4 after returning from maternity leave.
The BBC News at One achieved an average reach of 2.7 million viewers per bulletin in 2007, making it the most watched programme on UK daytime television.
The One O'Clock News launched on 27 October 1986 together with the daytime television service on BBC One, serving as a replacement to the BBC's News After Noon programme, which had a two-person presentation team of Richard Whitmore and either Moira Stuart or Frances Coverdale. Martyn Lewis, who had joined the BBC from rival ITN, was the original presenter of the new One O'Clock News, in a single-presenter format.
A unified look across BBC news output was introduced in April 1993, and the programme, while retaining the One O'Clock News title, adopted this look, though still kept some of its individuality, such as a reworked version of the theme music.
Independent Television News (ITN) is a British-based news and content provider. It is made up of three divisions: ITN News, ITN Source and ITN Productions. ITN is based in London, with bureaux and offices in Beijing, Brussels, Jerusalem, Johannesburg, New York, Paris, Sydney and Washington DC.
ITN produces content for ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5, UK mobile phone operators, online outlets such as YouTube, MSN, Telegraph Media Group, Yahoo!, and film producers and researchers worldwide.
Between 1955 and 1999, ITN was more commonly known as the general brand name of ITV's news programmes. Since 1999, ITN is no longer used as the brand name; however, the company still produces all ITV News programmes.
ITN was founded in January 1955 by the Independent Television Authority, as part of the new British commercial television network referred to as "Independent Television" (later ITV).
The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) is the public service broadcaster of the United Kingdom, headquartered at Broadcasting House in London.
The BBC is the world's oldest national broadcasting organisation and the largest broadcaster in the world by number of employees, with over 20,950 staff in total, of whom 16,672 are in public sector broadcasting; including part-time, flexible as well as fixed contract staff, the total number is 35,402.
The BBC is established under a Royal Charter and operates under its Agreement with the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport. Its work is funded principally by an annual television licence fee which is charged to all British households, companies, and organisations using any type of equipment to receive or record live television broadcasts. The fee is set by the British Government, agreed by Parliament, and used to fund the BBC's extensive radio, TV, and online services covering the nations and regions of the UK. From 1 April 2014, it also funds the BBC World Service, launched in 1932, which provides comprehensive TV, radio, and online services in Arabic, and Persian, and broadcasts in 28 languages.

I don't care what anyone says about the old-fashioned nature of Anglia TV's presentation by the mid-1980s, I always loved the way the station played the ident jingle over their clock. Here's an Anglia continuity junction with Katie Glass into the ITN News at One from 1986.

Rather an unusual opening into the BBC News at One a little earlier. After the titles ran, the camera on the balcony that would usually do the pan / zoom movement was in a locked off shot in line with the main bank of desks that you see in the newsroom. Then when camera 1 in studio E was cued, that would usually do the pan around the side of the studio before the presenters camera is cued, that camera was half behind the plasma screen and you saw the back of Kate's head and the reflection of the newsroom on the reverse of that plasma. After Kate had been cued you could see camera 1 was still in the wrong position half behind the plasma and was then slowly moved to hide it behind the plasma. Nice bit of positioning though so that the ped was in line with the pillar that you could see ab...
