TRG trackers called in to help search for man missing in remote WA

Specialist trackers from the elite tactical response group have been sent to scour remote WA desert for a man missing since Thursday afternoon.

32-year-old Anthony Collis was travelling to Darwin with a 39-year-old woman along the Canning Stock Route in a white Mitsubishi Triton.

Police said it is believed the pair became separated late Thursday afternoon, and the alarm was raised late Thursday night after the woman walked into the Georgia Bore Camp disoriented and dehydrated.

The camp is 8.2km north of Well 22 on the Canning Stock Route, with the Mitsubishi Triton located on Friday afternoon approximately 1km north of the same well.

Mr Collis was not with the vehicle, and local Police, TRG tackers, a search plane from the Police Airwing and State Emergency Service Volunteers are searching the area for any sign of him.

He's described as 185cm tall, medium build with blonde hair and blue eyes.

Mr Collis' Facebook page says he's from Westbury, Wiltshire in the UK, and also displayed an image of a white Mitsubishi Triton.

Anyone that has seen him is asked to call police immediately on 131 444.
