Community Shield may refer to:
Manchester United Football Club is a professional football club based in Old Trafford, Greater Manchester, England, that competes in the Premier League, the top flight of English football. Founded as Newton Heath LYR Football Club in 1878, the club changed its name to Manchester United in 1902 and moved to Old Trafford in 1910.
Manchester United have won 20 league titles, the most of any English club, 11 FA Cups, four League Cups and a record 20 FA Community Shields. The club has also won three European Cups, one UEFA Cup Winners' Cup, one UEFA Super Cup, one Intercontinental Cup and one FIFA Club World Cup. In 1998–99, the club became the first in the history of English football to achieve the treble of the Premier League, the FA Cup and the UEFA Champions League.
The 1958 Munich air disaster claimed the lives of eight players. In 1968, under the management of Matt Busby, Manchester United became the first English football club to win the European Cup. Alex Ferguson won 38 trophies, including 13 Premier League titles, 5 FA Cups and 2 UEFA Champions Leagues, between 1986 and 2013, when he announced his retirement. Louis van Gaal is the club's current manager after Ferguson's successor David Moyes was sacked after only 10 months in charge.
The Football Association Community Shield (formerly the Charity Shield) is English football's annual match contested between the champions of the previous Premier League season and the holders of the FA Cup at Wembley Stadium. If the Premier League champions also won the FA Cup then the league runners-up provide the opposition. Generally ranked below the FA Cup and League Cup in terms of importance, the fixture is a recognised football super cup.
Organised by the Football Association, proceeds from the game are distributed to community-based initiatives and charities around the country. Revenue from the gate receipts and match programme sales is distributed to the 124 clubs who competed in The FA Cup from the First Round onwards, for onward distribution to charities and projects of their choice, while the remainder is distributed to the FA's national charity partners. The fixture was first played in the 1908–09 season, replacing the Sheriff of London Charity Shield.
The current holders are Arsenal, who retained the Shield by beating Chelsea in the 2015 match.
Leicester City Football Club /ˌlɛstər ˈsɪti/, also known as the Foxes, are an English professional football club based in Leicester at the King Power Stadium. They play in the Premier League, having been promoted as champions of the Football League Championship in 2013–14, signalling a return to the top flight of English football after a decade away.
The club was founded in 1884 as Leicester Fosse, playing on a field near Fosse Road. The name Leicester City was adopted in 1919.
They moved to Filbert Street in 1891 and played there for 111 years, before moving to the nearby Walkers Stadium in 2002. They renamed the stadium the King Power Stadium after a change of ownership in 2013.
Leicester City were elected to the Football League in 1894. The club's highest ever finish was second place in the top flight, in Division One in 1928–29. The club holds a joint-highest seven second tier titles (six Second Division and one Championship), as well as one League One title. They have won the League Cup three times and have been FA Cup runners-up four times, a tournament record for the most defeats in the final without having won the competition. The club has only spent one season outside the top two tiers of English football, which was in the 2008–09 season, when they won the Football League One title.
The FA Cup is an annual knockout cup competition in English football; first held in 1871–72, it is the oldest association football competition in the world. It is organised by and named after the Football Association, its official name being The Football Association Challenge Cup. For sponsorship reasons, from 2015 through to 2018 it is also known as The Emirates FA Cup. A concurrent women's tournament is also held, known as the FA Women's Cup.
The competition is open to any eligible club down to Level 10 of the English football league system, i.e. all 92 professional clubs (the Premier League and the three levels of the The Football League), as well as several hundred "non-league" teams in Steps 1 to 6 of the National League System. A record 763 clubs competed in 2011–12. The tournament is unseeded, although a system of byes based on league level ensures most competitors enter at progressively later stages. Played over 12 randomly drawn rounds followed by the semi-finals and final, the first six rounds are the Qualifying Competition, followed by six rounds of the Competition Proper, where 32 qualifiers meet professional sides for the first time.

Three goals in the space of 12 second-half minutes steered Premier League champions Manchester City FC to a 3-2 comeback victory over Chelsea FC in the FA Community Shield. Roberto Mancini's side made their intentions clear in the opening exchanges with a high-tempo approach, while Chelsea defended with stout determination, launching sporadic forays forward. Their caution prevailed, however, when Fernando Torres broke the deadlock five minutes before the break. Ramires was the catalyst, surging towards goal and freeing the Spain striker, who lifted the ball past Costel Pantilimon. The London side's spirit was dampened two minutes later when Branislav Ivanović was sent off for a tackle on fellow Serbian international Aleksandar Kolarov. Manchester United completed a stunning fightback to clinch The FA Community Shield at Wembley, coming from two down at half-time to beat their City rivals. Joleon Lescott had headed Roberto Mancini's team into the lead after half an hour, and against the run of play they took a two-goal advantage when Edin Dzeko struck from distance. But United proved once again they are at their most dangerous when seemingly beaten, with Chris Smalling and a brace from man of the match Nani completing the comeback. United had made a fast start with the counter attacking options of Young, Nani, Rooney and Welbeck causing City a number of concerns in the opening ten minutes. Young saw the clearest chance after just three minutes, but a deflection saw his shot go wide for a corner. From the resulting deliv...
