For the first time in centuries, scientists have exposed the original surface of what is traditionally considered the tomb of Jesus Christ. As the slab of marble was removed, revealing the Holy Bed, conservationists were surprised to discover something their instruments hadn’t detected: a layer of debris beneath the marble cover. They will analyze the debris to learn more about the ancient resting place.
Located in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in the Old City of Jerusalem, the tomb has been covered by marble cladding since at least A.D. 1555, and most likely centuries earlier. The modest tomb has never before been photographed, and no drawings exist. This is the first time anyone alive today has seen the Holy Bed.
This burial shelf is now enclosed by a small structure known as the Edicule (from the Latin aedicule, or "little house"), which was last reconstructed in 1808-1810 after being destroyed in a fire. The Edicule and the interior tomb are currently undergoing restoration by a team of scientists from the National Technical University of Athens under the direction of Chief Scientific Supervisor Professor Antonia Moropoulou.
The National Geographic Society, with the blessing of the Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Jerusalem and other religious communities, formed a strategic alliance with the National Technical University of Athens for cultural heritage preservation. Jesus (/ˈdʒiːzəs/; Greek: Ἰησοῦς Iesous; 7–2 BC to AD 30–33), also referred to as Jesus of Nazareth or Jesus Christ, is the central figure of Christianity, whom the teachings of most Christian denominations hold to be the Son of God. Christians believe Jesus is the awaited Messiah (or Christ, the Anointed One) of the Old Testament.
Virtually all modern scholars of antiquity agree that Jesus existed historically, and historians consider the Synoptic Gospels (Matthew, Mark and Luke) to be the best sources for investigating the historical Jesus. Most scholars agree that Jesus was a Galilean, Jewish rabbi who preached his message orally,was baptized by John the Baptist, and was crucified by the order of the Roman Prefect Pontius Pilate. In the current mainstream view, Jesus was an apocalyptic preacher and the founder of a renewal movement within Judaism, although some prominent scholars argue that he was not apocalyptic. After Jesus' death, his followers believed he was resurrected, and the community they formed eventually became the Christian church. The widely used calendar era, abbreviated as "AD" from the Latin "Anno Domini" ("in the year of our Lord") or sometimes as "CE", is based on the birth of Jesus. His birth is celebrated annually on December 25 as a holiday known as Christmas.

Justin Drew Bieber (/ˈbiːbər/; born March 1, 1994) is a Canadian singer, songwriter, and record producer. Bieber released his debut EP, My World, in late 2009. It was certified platinum in the U.S. He became the first artist to have seven songs from a debut record chart on the Billboard Hot 100. Bieber released his first full-length studio album, My World 2.0, in 2010. It debuted at or near number one in several countries and was certified triple platinum in the U.S. It was preceded by his most successful single to date, "Baby".

TMZ
TMZ is a celebrity news website that debuted on November 8, 2005. It was a collaboration between AOL and Telepictures Productions, a division of Warner Bros., until Time Warner divested AOL in 2009. The name TMZ stands for thirty-mile zone, the historic "studio zone" within a 30-mile (50 km) radius centered at the intersection of West Beverly Boulevard and North La Cienega Boulevard in Los Angeles, California.
TMZ's managing editor is Harvey Levin, a lawyer-turned-journalist who was previously a legal expert for the Los Angeles television station KCBS-TV. The site claims that it does not pay for stories or interviews; however, Levin has admitted that TMZ does "sometimes pay sources for leads on stories". Levin has stated that "everything is researched and vetted for accuracy." A companion television series, TMZ on TV, debuted on September 10, 2007.
Development
Seven months prior to the official launch of TMZ, America Online (AOL) had hinted that it was planning to launch a Hollywood and entertainment-centric news site that would be produced in conjunction with Telepictures Productions and had shown interest in launching a website featuring a focus mainly on celebrities. At the time of the launch, AOL confirmed that the site would primarily feature and consist of Hollywood gossip, including interviews, photos and video footage of celebrities and information pertaining to industry news on movies, television shows, etc. The site was described as "an effort to further feed the current American obsession with celebrities". Mike Shields of MediaWeek.com wrote, "the site also boasts of an expansive collection of archived star photos and videos", allowing fans to "trace changing hairlines and waistlines of their favorites performers over the years".

As the slab of marble was removed, revealing the Holy Bed, conservationists were surprised to discover something their instruments hadn’t detected: a layer of debris beneath the marble cover. They will analyze the debris to learn more about the ancient resting place. Located in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in the Old City of Jerusalem, the tomb has been covered by marble cladding since at least A.D. 1555, and most likely centuries earlier. The modest tomb has never before been photographed, and no drawings exist. This is the first time anyone alive today has seen the Holy Bed. This burial shelf is now enclosed by a small structure known as the Edicule (from the Latin aedicule, or "little house"), which was last reconstructed in 1808-1810 after being destroyed in a fire. The Edicule and the interior tomb are currently undergoing restoration by a team of scientists from the National Technical University of Athens under the direction of Chief Scientific Supervisor Professor Antonia Moropoulou. The National Geographic Society, with the blessing of the Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Jerusalem and other religious communities, formed a strategic alliance with the National Technical University of Athens for cultural heritage preservation. We find testimonies of former atheists, Buddhists, Muslims, etc. claiming they died, went to the afterlife but were saved and brought back by Jesus Christ. There are countless testimonies just on YouTube alone and the people that ventured into the afterlife describe the Christian concept of life after death (heaven & hell). If NDE’s were open to interpretation, we would find testimonies of people saying that when they died, they met Allah or Muhammad or Buddha. But since we only find testimonies of people saying they were saved by Jesus, we have additional evidence that Christianity is the truth. For the first time in centuries, scientists have exposed the original surface of what is traditionally considered the tomb of Jesus Christ. As the slab of marble was removed, revealing the Holy Bed, conservationists were surprised to discover something their instruments hadn’t detected: a layer of debris beneath the marble cover. They will analyze the debris to learn more about the ancient resting place.
Located in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in the Old City of Jerusalem, the tomb has been covered by marble cladding since at least A.D. 1555, and most likely centuries earlier. The modest tomb has never before been photographed, and no drawings exist. This is the first time anyone alive today has seen the Holy Bed.
This burial shelf is now enclosed by a small structure known as the Edicule (from the Latin aedicule, or "little house"), which was last reconstructed in 1808-1810 after being destroyed in a fire. The Edicule and the interior tomb are currently undergoing restoration by a team of scientists from the National Technical University of Athens under the direction of Chief Scientific Supervisor Professor Antonia Moropoulou.
The National Geographic Society, with the blessing of the Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Jerusalem and other religious communities, formed a strategic alliance with the National Technical University of Athens for cultural heritage preservation.
