Where to find the best fish and chips on the South Coast

Summer is almost here. Okay. It's still more than three months away and Canberra is still shivering in sub-zero temperatures. But we can dream, can't we?

If you are thinking of a South Coast sojourn in summer, the next thing to know is where to buy the best fish and chips.

The readers of the Narooma News recently voted for the best in their area and after 500 nominations, the paper came up with the top 10.

The number one pick was The Pelican Rocks Cafe at Greenwell Point, about 13km east of Nowra. The same cafe also recently won NSW's best judged fish and chips at the Sydney Fish Market Seafood Excellence awards. 

 Sam and Rebecca Cardow run the cafe and will now represent NSW in the national finals, with the best fish and chips in Australia to be named on September 28.
