In which John Green teaches you about the United States Constitution. During and after the American Revolutionary War, the government of the new country operated under the Articles of Confederation. While these Articles got the young nation through its war with England, they weren't of much use when it came to running a country. So, the founding fathers decided try their hand at nation-building, and they created the Constitution of the United States, which you may remember as the one that says We The People at the top. John will tell you how the convention came together, some of the compromises that had to be made to pass this thing, and why it's very lucky that the framers installed a somewhat reasonable process for making changes to the thing. You'll learn about Shays' Rebellion, the Federalist Papers, the elite vs rabble dynamic of the houses of congress, and start to find out just what an anti-federalist is.

On January 26, 1950, India became an Independent Sovereign Democratic Republic with its own Constitution. The Constitution of Independent India that came into being that day was the culmination of a journey that had begun during the first war of Independence in 1857 when Indian soldiers (rebelling against British colonial rule) attempted to frame their own Constitution.
Later, during the freedom movement of the early 20th century, a seminal attempt to create a Constitution was made under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi. Eventually, a Constituent Assembly consisting of about 300 men and women representing various shades of political opinion and different parts of the country congregated in the Central Hall of Parliament on December 9, 1946. Their task was to frame a Constitution for a free India. The Assembly took close to three years to create the Constitution that defines and guides our nation today.
The story of making Independent India's Constitution is full of drama and excitement. It took place during momentous times that changed the political contours of South Asia. It was a near impossible task of transforming a diverse, heterogeneous country into a unified nation.
Samvidhaan is the untold story of how the Constitution of the largest Democratic Republic in the world was created.

I actually planned this as a four angle shot on a overcast and stormy day with a lot of mist and rain.
This was only a test render with default camera and skylight. I also had the feeling that the fine spray was still too fluffy.. My plan was to re simulate with different settings.
But simulation and render times became so crazy that I decided to stop here and turn to a different project.
The ship - ocean surface interaction is done with a splash tank. Particle count is +100.000.000 .

Constitution
A constitution is a set of fundamental principles or established precedents according to which a state or other organization is governed. These rules together make up, i.e. constitute, what the entity is. Constitution of India
The Constitution of India is the supreme law of India. It is a living document, the permanent instrument which makes the government system work. It lays down the framework defining fundamental political principles, establishes the structure, procedures, powers and duties of government institutions and sets out fundamental rights, directive principles and the duties of citizens. It is the longest written constitution of any sovereign country in the world. The nation is governed on the basis of this Constitution.Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar is regarded as the chief architect of the Indian Constitution, but it was the Constituent Assembly that worked under Dr Ambedkar and his team that drafted the final copy of the Indian Constitution.
The constitution of India imparts constitutional supremacy and not parliamentary supremacy as it is not created by the Parliament but created by a constituent assembly and adopted by its people with a declaration in the preamble to the constitution.Parliament cannot override the constitution.

United States Constitution
The United States Constitution is the supreme law of the United States of America. The Constitution, originally comprising seven articles, delineates the national frame of government. Its first three articles entrench the doctrine of the separation of powers, whereby the federal government is divided into three branches: the legislative, consisting of the bicameral Congress; the executive, consisting of the President; and the judicial, consisting of the Supreme Court and other federal courts. Articles Four, Five and Six entrench concepts of federalism, describing the rights and responsibilities of state governments and of the states in relationship to the federal government. Article Seven establishes the procedure subsequently used by the thirteen States to ratify it.
Since the Constitution came into force in 1789, it has been amended twenty-seven times. In general, the first ten amendments, known collectively as the Bill of Rights, offer specific protections of individual liberty and justice and place restrictions on the powers of government. The majority of the seventeen later amendments expand individual civil rights. Others address issues related to federal authority or modify government processes and procedures. Amendments to the United States Constitution, unlike ones made to many constitutions world-wide, are appended to the end of the document. At seven articles and twenty-seven amendments, it is the shortest written constitution in force. All five pages of the original U.S. Constitution are written on parchment.

Houdini Flip Ocean and the USS Constitution
I actually planned this as a four angle shot on a overcast and stormy day with a lot of mist and rain. This was only a test render with default camera and skylight. I also had the feeling that the fine spray was still too fluffy.. My plan was to re simulate with different settings. But simulation and render times became so crazy that I decided to stop here and turn to a different project. The ship - ocean surface interaction is done with a splash tank. Particle count is +100.000.000 . Hope you like.

On January 26, 1950, India became an Independent Sovereign Democratic Republic with its own Constitution. The Constitution of Independent India that came into being that day was the culmination of a journey that had begun during the first war of Independence in 1857 when Indian soldiers (rebelling against British colonial rule) attempted to frame their own Constitution.
Later, during the freedom movement of the early 20th century, a seminal attempt to create a Constitution was made under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi. Eventually, a Constituent Assembly consisting of about 300 men and women representing various shades of political opinion and different parts of the country congregated in the Central Hall of Parliament on December 9, 1946. Their task was to frame a Constitution for a free India. The Assembly took close to three years to create the Constitution that defines and guides our nation today.
The story of making Independent India's Constitution is full of drama and excitement. It took place during momentous times that changed the political contours of South Asia. It was a near impossible task of transforming a diverse, heterogeneous country into a unified nation.
Samvidhaan is the untold story of how the Constitution of the largest Democratic Republic in the world was created.

This was only a test render with default camera and skyl...
I actually planned this as a four angle shot on a overcast and stormy day with a lot of mist and rain.
This was only a test render with default camera and skylight. I also had the feeling that the fine spray was still too fluffy.. My plan was to re simulate with different settings.
But simulation and render times became so crazy that I decided to stop here and turn to a different project.
The ship - ocean surface interaction is done with a splash tank. Particle count is +100.000.000 .

an infographic video, done to represent some of the contents of the new egyptian constitution (2012)
we were a team of 4 designers, who did about 7 videos in a very tight time, under a great pressure
in this video, i was the animator (one animator job)
and I spent a lot of time trying to finish an approximately 2 minutes of animation every night
was a hard time I can tell :D
anyway ... this was a great opportunity for me to do some infographic stuff as an animator only,
so I could focus more on the fancy stuff :D
we used : Photoshop for illustrations - After effects for animation

8th grade students at Hershey Middle School researched and produced this video explanation of the United States Constitution. The video is based on the simple explanation style pioneered by the Common Craft show. Visit the Common Craft website at www.commoncraft.com. The students watched Electing a President in Plain English prior to beginning the research. Being able to simply and clearly explain a complicated idea or concept is a very important skill to develop. This video is my student's attempt at simply and clearly explaining the U.S. Constitution.
Because of the length of the video is has been divided into two parts. This video, part 1, explains the first two Articles of the Constitution. Part 2 explains Articles 3 through 7.

The Constitution of Independent India that came into being that day was the culmination of a journey that had begun during the first war of Independence in 1857 when Indian soldiers (rebelling against British colonial rule) attempted to frame their own Constitution.
Later, during the freedom movement of the early 20th century, a seminal attempt to create a Constitution was made under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi. Eventually, a Constituent Assembly consisting of about 300 men and women representing various shades of political opinion and different parts of the country congregated in the Central Hall of Parliament on December 9, 1946. Their task was to frame a Constitution for a free India. The Assembly took close to three years to create the Constitution that defines and guides our nation today.
The story of making Independent India's Constitution is full of drama and excitement. It took place during momentous times that changed the political contours of South Asia. It was a near impossible task of transforming a diverse, heterogeneous country into a unified nation.
Samvidhaan is the untold story of how the Constitution of the largest Democratic Republic in the world was created.

I actually planned this as a four angle shot on a overcast and stormy day with a lot of mist and rain.
This was only a test render with default camera and skylight. I also had the feeling that the fine spray was still too fluffy.. My plan was to re simulate with different settings.
But simulation and render times became so crazy that I decided to stop here and turn to a different project.
The ship - ocean surface interaction is done with a splash tank. Particle count is +100.000.000 .

an infographic video, done to represent some of the contents of the new egyptian constitution (2012)
we were a team of 4 designers, who did about 7 videos in a very tight time, under a great pressure
in this video, i was the animator (one animator job)
and I spent a lot of time trying to finish an approximately 2 minutes of animation every night
was a hard time I can tell :D
anyway ... this was a great opportunity for me to do some infographic stuff as an animator only,
so I could focus more on the fancy stuff :D
we used : Photoshop for illustrations - After effects for animation

8th grade students at Hershey Middle School researched and produced this video explanation of the United States Constitution. The video is based on the simple explanation style pioneered by the Common Craft show. Visit the Common Craft website at www.commoncraft.com. The students watched Electing a President in Plain English prior to beginning the research. Being able to simply and clearly explain a complicated idea or concept is a very important skill to develop. This video is my student's attempt at simply and clearly explaining the U.S. Constitution.
Because of the length of the video is has been divided into two parts. This video, part 1, explains the first two Articles of the Constitution. Part 2 explains Articles 3 through 7.
Thank you Mr. Finkill for giving Mr. Titzel the idea to have students create these videos.
