Crawley ( pronunciation ) is a town and borough in West Sussex, England. It is 28 miles (45 km) south of Charing Cross (London), 18 miles (29 km) north of Brighton and Hove, and 32 miles (51 km) northeast of the county town of Chichester, covers an area of 17.36 square miles (44.96 km2) and had a population of 106,597 at the time of the 2011 Census.
The area has been inhabited since the Stone Age, and was a centre of ironworking in Roman times. Crawley developed slowly as a market town from the 13th century, serving the surrounding villages in the Weald; its location on the main road from London to Brighton brought a passing trade, encouraging the development of coaching inns. It was connected to the railway network in the 1840s.
Gatwick Airport, now one of Britain's busiest international airports, opened on the edge of the town in the 1940s, encouraging commercial and industrial growth. After the Second World War, the British Government planned to move large numbers of people and jobs out of London and into new towns around South East England. The New Towns Act 1946 designated Crawley as the site of one of these. A master plan was developed for the establishment of new residential, commercial, industrial and civic areas, and rapid development greatly increased the size and population of the town in a few decades.

Shortly thereafter, Wade is captured by the law in Bisbee and Evans finds himself one of the escorts who will take Wade to the 3:10 to Yuma train in Contention for the reward of $200. Evans's effort to take Wade to the station is in part an effort to save his land but also part of an inner battle to determine whether he can be more than just a naive rancher in the eyes of his impetuous and gunslinging son William Evans. The transport to Contention is hazardous and filled with ambushes by Indians, pursuits by Wade's vengeful gang and Wade's own conniving and surreptitious demeanor that makes the ride all the more intense.

But Steve Brandon, mostly in his guise as the Durango Kid, does a bit of snooping and begins to suspect that the local storekeeper has an interest in more than just selling groceries.

We have released body worn video of a man attacking two officers in Crawley last year. It comes after Jamshid Piruz, 34, unemployed and of no fixed address was today (13 January) sentenced to life at Hove Crown Court for various offences. It stems from a call police received on 7 January 2016 to report a man had been seen acting suspiciously in Stagelands, Langley Green. When officers found Piruz, in nearby Nightingale Close, he was carrying a hammer and hiding in a confined bin area of flats in the close. As the body worn video shows, Piruz confronted officers from where he was hiding, threatening them with the hammer and two Tasers were discharged but proved ineffective. Officers then deliberately withdrew in an effort to create more space so that Piruz could be safely arrested. ...

5 Top-Rated Tourist Attractions in Hastings Hastings is an attractive seaside resort popular for its sporting and cultural events, as well as for its association with the famous Battle of Hastings of 1066 (an event that in fact took place at Battle, six miles away). Although its importance as one of the Cinque Ports ended due to a series of destructive floods and repeated attacks by the French at the end of the 14th century, the town experienced another heyday in the 19th century when it became a seaside resort, taking Brighton as its model. Lying alone in this cold and quiet room
I can hear their whispers now
I can sense it: A turn is coming on
Lying alone in this cold and quiet room
The door is silently opening
I can sense it: A turn is coming on
Wincing faces, racked by pain
They come to me as I fall asleep
Climbing the stairs, to hide is vain
They will get me in this night so deep
Exhausted veins
Bloody drugs every day
Their needles in my brain
They gave me one more jab supposed to relieve all that pain
I tried to get away
To escape from that place
But my own legs betray me leaving body on that bed
Wincing faces, in front of me
They've come to me and I don't dare
To give that fight for eternity
