If you fear you're off to summer school, ease the stress of uncertainty with some simple math and know when to seek help with your grades.
Step 1: Find a grading scale
Find a four-point grading scale that assigns a point value from four to zero for every possible grade.
Tip
Most schools in the United States use a four-point scale, where A=4, B=3, C=2, D=1, and E=0. If you're unsure ask your teacher or an administrator.
Step 2: Collect recent grades
Collect the most recent grades you can by asking your teacher or an office administrator.
Step 3: Record the point value for each grade
Write down the correct point value next to each grade using the four-point scale.
Step 4: Add the points together
Add up all the points and write down the total.
Step 5: Calculate the average
Calculate the average by dividing the total by the number of grades you added together. This is your GPA.

The Oakland Raiders opened their doors Tuesday to a young, multi-talented genius. He is not their latest draft pick, but an Ivy League-bound teenager who has taken the country by storm with his academic success.
Akintunde Ahmad, a senior at Oakland Technical High School, was treated to a shopping spree in the team store.
“Coming out of high school I would have wished I had a 4.0, and here this guy has a 5.0. It’s amazing,” said Raiders wide receiver Rod Streator.
‘Tunde, as he calls himself, is sporting a perfect 5.0 GPA and scored 2100 on his SAT test. He plays French horn and African drums in the orchestra and is a standout on the school’s baseball team.
Lately, he also has spent his spare time as a television celebrity. ‘Tunde has chosen to attend Yale in the fall and has been receiving donations to cover the costs. During a recent appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” he received a $15,000 check.
Back at school, his Principal said ‘Tunde and his friends are setting an important example for the rest of the students.
“Because so many of our kids don’t see a way out, they don’t have the role model. And ‘Tunde is a walking role model,” said Oakland Technical High Principal Staci Ross-Morrison.
When asked if he felt comfortable being called a role model, ‘Tunde said, “Yeah, it kind of adds pressure, but it kind of makes me check myself to make sure I’m doing what I’m supposed to be.”
‘Tunde feels the overwhelming reaction to his academic success is also a reflection on Oakland itself.
“Because a lot of times they portray our city in a negative light and focus on bad news. So, I think a lot of people were just really happy that we had some positive news that a lot of people could relate with,” he said.
Education is a family tradition in the Ahmad family. ‘Tunde’s mother is a principal at a middle school in Piedmont.
He said he has already raised about half of what he will need to cover his college expenses.

Jeffrey Lamar Williams, (born August 9, 1991), better known by his stage name Young Thug, is an American rapper from Atlanta, Georgia. He is perhaps best known for his commercial debut single "Stoner", as well as his collaborations with fellow Southern rappers, such as Rich Homie Quan, Birdman, Waka Flocka Flame, Gucci Mane, Young Scooter, Shy Glizzy, Migos, Travi$ Scott and T.I.. Young Thug signed a record deal with Gucci Mane's 1017 Brick Squad Records, an Asylum/Atlantic imprint, in early 2013. 2011–13: Early career and record deal
After releasing the first three installments of his mixtape series I Came from Nothing throughout 2011 and 2012, Young Thug caught the attention of fellow Atlanta-based rapper Gucci Mane, who went on to sign Young Thug to his label 1017 Brick Squad Records, an Asylum/Atlantic imprint, in 2013. Thug subsequently released his first project on the label, his fourth mixtape, 1017 Thug. The mixtape was met with positive reviews from music critics, which noted it for its original style. 1017 Thug was included in a number of year-end lists for 2013, such as Pitchfork's Albums of the Year: Honorable Mention and Complex's The 50 Best Albums of 2013.FACT called it the best mixtape of 2013,Rolling Stone placed it at number five on their 10 Best Mixtapes of 2013 and The Guardian placed it among The Five Best Mixtapes of 2013.

Grading (education)
Grading in education is the process of applying standardized measurements of varying levels of achievement in a course. Another way the grade point average (GPA) can be determined is through extra curricular activities. Grades can be assigned as letters (generally A through F), as a range (for example 1 to 6), as a percentage of a total number of questions answered correctly, or as a number out of a possible total (for example out of 20 or 100).
In some countries, all grades from all current classes are averaged to create a Grade Point Average (GPA) for the marking period. The GPA is calculated by taking the number of grade points a student earned in a given period of time of middle school through high school. GPAs are also calculated for undergraduate and graduate students in most universities. The GPA can be used by potential employers or educational institutions to assess and compare applicants. A cumulative grade point average is a calculation of the average of all of a student's grades for all of his or her complete education career.

San Diego

It is characterized by four distinct elements, all of which represent the different manifestations of the culture: rap music (oral), turntablism or DJing (aural), b-boying (physical) and graffiti art (visual). Even while it continues to develop globally in myriad styles, these four foundational elements provide coherence to hip hop culture. The term is often used in a restrictive fashion as synonymous only with the oral practice of rap music.
The origin of the hip hop culture stems from the block parties of the Ghetto Brothers, when they plugged in the amplifiers for their instruments and speakers into the lampposts on 163rd Street and Prospect Avenue and used music to break down racial barriers, and from DJ Kool Herc at 1520 Sedgwick Avenue, where Herc mixed samples of existing records with his own shouts to the crowd and dancers. Kool Herc is credited as the "father" of hip hop. DJ Afrika Bambaataa of the hip hop collective Zulu Nation outlined the pillars of hip hop culture, to which he coined the terms: MCing or "Emceein", DJing or "Deejayin", B-boying and graffiti writing or "Aerosol Writin".

The Oakland Raiders opened their doors Tuesday to a young, multi-talented genius. He is not their latest draft pick, but an Ivy League-bound teenager who has taken the country by storm with his academic success. Akintunde Ahmad, a senior at Oakland Technical High School, was treated to a shopping spree in the team store. “Coming out of high school I would have wished I had a 4.0, and here this guy has a 5.0. It’s amazing,” said Raiders wide receiver Rod Streator. ‘Tunde, as he calls himself, is sporting a perfect 5.0 GPA and scored 2100 on his SAT test. He plays French horn and African drums in the orchestra and is a standout on the school’s baseball team. Lately, he also has spent his spare time as a television celebrity. ‘Tunde has chosen to attend Yale in the fall and has been receiving donations to cover the costs. During a recent appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” he received a $15,000 check. Back at school, his Principal said ‘Tunde and his friends are setting an important example for the rest of the students. “Because so many of our kids don’t see a way out, they don’t have the role model. And ‘Tunde is a walking role model,” said Oakland Technical High Principal Staci Ross-Morrison. When asked if he felt comfortable being called a role model, ‘Tunde said, “Yeah, it kind of adds pressure, but it kind of makes me check myself to make sure I’m doing what I’m supposed to be.” ‘Tunde feels the overwhelming reaction to his academic success is also a reflection on Oakland itself. “Because a lot of times they portray our city in a negative light and focus on bad news. So, I think a lot of people were just really happy that we had some positive news that a lot of people could relate with,” he said. Education is a family tradition in the Ahmad family. ‘Tunde’s mother is a principal at a middle school in Piedmont. He said he has already raised about half of what he will need to cover his college expenses. The Oakland Raiders opened their doors Tuesday to a young, multi-talented genius. He is not their latest draft pick, but an Ivy League-bound teenager who has taken the country by storm with his academic success.
Akintunde Ahmad, a senior at Oakland Technical High School, was treated to a shopping spree in the team store.
“Coming out of high school I would have wished I had a 4.0, and here this guy has a 5.0. It’s amazing,” said Raiders wide receiver Rod Streator.
‘Tunde, as he calls himself, is sporting a perfect 5.0 GPA and scored 2100 on his SAT test. He plays French horn and African drums in the orchestra and is a standout on the school’s baseball team.
Lately, he also has spent his spare time as a television celebrity. ‘Tunde has chosen to attend Yale in the fall and has been receiving donations to cover the costs. During a recent appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” he received a $15,000 check.
Back at school, his Principal said ‘Tunde and his friends are setting an important example for the rest of the students.
“Because so many of our kids don’t see a way out, they don’t have the role model. And ‘Tunde is a walking role model,” said Oakland Technical High Principal Staci Ross-Morrison.
When asked if he felt comfortable being called a role model, ‘Tunde said, “Yeah, it kind of adds pressure, but it kind of makes me check myself to make sure I’m doing what I’m supposed to be.”
‘Tunde feels the overwhelming reaction to his academic success is also a reflection on Oakland itself.
“Because a lot of times they portray our city in a negative light and focus on bad news. So, I think a lot of people were just really happy that we had some positive news that a lot of people could relate with,” he said.
Education is a family tradition in the Ahmad family. ‘Tunde’s mother is a principal at a middle school in Piedmont.
He said he has already raised about half of what he will need to cover his college expenses.
