City Sightseeing

City Sightseeing is a sightseeing bus tour operator. It operates tour bus services in more than 100 cities globally. Typically, the tours are operated by red open top double-decker buses. It was created by Ensignbus, who retained 100% ownership until selling it to the Spanish franchisee in 2011.

The tourist attraction bus travels near major landmarks around the town or city it tours, while prerecorded or live commentary is provided through headphones. Users may leave the bus and board again without limit (called hop-on hop-off) at special bus stops on a circle route. In some locations, buses may go on multiple routes, go to suburban areas (such as from Sintra to Cabo da Roca), or operate at night (such as New York). In some cities (such as Prague, Moscow, Saint Petersburg) some variants of the ride include travelling by boat. The United Kingdom, Italy and Spain are the countries with the most City Sightseeing locations.

Usually tickets issued are for one-day or two-days rides. Tickets are purchased at tourist attractions or online on the internet. In 2011, annual rides were near 13 million tourists.

Parks and Recreation (season 4)

The fourth season of Parks and Recreation originally aired in the United States on the NBC television network, and began on September 22, 2011, and ended on May 8, 2012. The season contained 22 episodes.

As with past seasons, it focused on Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler) and her staff at the parks and recreation department of the fictional Indiana town of Pawnee. However, this season featured an overarching story arc, beginning in the first episode and culminating in the finale, where Leslie ran for the city council of Pawnee.

City

A city is a large and permanent human settlement. Although there is no agreement on how a city is distinguished from a town in general English language meanings, many cities have a particular administrative, legal, or historical status based on local law.

Cities generally have complex systems for sanitation, utilities, land usage, housing, and transportation. The concentration of development greatly facilitates interaction between people and businesses, benefiting both parties in the process, but it also presents challenges to managing urban growth.

A big city or metropolis usually has associated suburbs and exurbs. Such cities are usually associated with metropolitan areas and urban areas, creating numerous business commuters traveling to urban centers for employment. Once a city expands far enough to reach another city, this region can be deemed a conurbation or megalopolis. In terms of population, the largest city proper is Shanghai, while the fastest-growing is Dubai.

Origins

There is not enough evidence to assert what conditions gave rise to the first cities. Some theorists have speculated on what they consider suitable pre-conditions and basic mechanisms that might have been important driving forces.
