Iloilo is a province in the Philippines located in the Western Visayas region. Iloilo occupies the southeast portion of Panay Island and is bordered by province of Antique to the west and province of Capiz and the Jintotolo Channel to the north. Just off Iloilo's southeast coast is the island province Guimaras, once part of Iloilo but now an independent province. Across the Panay Gulf and Guimaras Strait is Negros Occidental. Iloilo's capital is Iloilo City though the city itself is independent and not governed by the provincial government of Iloilo.
According to the 2010 national census, the population of province excluding Iloilo City is 1,805,576. If Iloilo City is included, the population is 2,230,195.
At the time of the Spanish conquest, writing was a new import and the use of organic medium such as leaf and bamboo, and no pre-Hispanic written accounts of Iloilo exist today. Oral history, in the form of recited epics, has survived to a small degree, with a few recordings made from the last known surviving binukots. But from these oral history and from writings from other sources, one can still glean Iloilo's prehispanic past.
Iloilo City, officially the City of Iloilo (Hiligaynon: Dakbanwa sang Iloilo/Syudad sang Iloilo; Karay-a: Syudad kang Iloilo/Syudad ka Iloilo; Tagalog: Lungsod ng Iloilo; Spanish: Ciudad de Iloílo), is a highly urbanized city on Panay island in the Philippines. It is the capital city of the province of Iloilo and is also the regional center of the Western Visayas region as well as the center of the Iloilo-Guimaras Metropolitan Area. In the 2010 census, Iloilo City had a population of 424,619 with a 1.8% population annual growth rate. For the metropolitan area, the total population is 878,621.
Iloilo City is bordered by the towns of Oton in the west, Pavia in the north, Leganes in the northeast and the Iloilo Strait in its eastern and southern coastline. The city was a conglomeration of former towns, which are now the geographical districts consisting of: Jaro (an independent city-before), Molo, La Paz, Mandurriao, Villa Arevalo, and Iloilo City Proper. The district of Lapuz, a former part of La Paz, was declared a separate district in 2008.
GMA News and Public Affairs (commonly GMA News; formerly RBS News Department, GMA Radio-Television News and GMA Rainbow Satellite News) is the news and public affairs programming division of the media conglomerate, GMA Network Inc.
It produces news, public affairs, infotainment, and lately, entertainment programs for all GMA Network and GMA News TV owned and affiliated television and radio stations in the Philippines, and internationally through GMA Pinoy TV, GMA Life TV and GMA News TV International. GMA News and Public Affairs is currently headed by Marissa Flores. It is headquartered at the Ground Floor of GMA Network Center in Quezon City.
The GMA News division traces its origin from the Republic Broadcasting System, established by Robert Stewart in 1959. Programming of its radio station, DZBB depended on mostly news reports. The station covered the eruption of Mt. Hibok-Hibok in 1951 and the election and death of the Former President Ramon Magsaysay. While RBS Channel 7 was established in 1961, it was in the 1970s that GMA became one of the most-watched television news source in the country. In 1983, Channel 7 was the first to break the news of Ninoy Aquino's death and later would be the only television station to broadcast his funeral. The channel also became the first station to broadcast the Ramos-Enrile break-away that led to the People Power Revolution (otherwise known as EDSA Revolution).

What's up mga tropapeeps! So here's what went down in Iloilo city. Most of my friends told me that there wasn't much to do in the city, which I think is true. Although you know what they say, "People define the city"; and so I went out and explored. Got lost but found my way in the end. Here's the link on how to get to Iloilo City from the Airport (Cabatuan City): http://polisci.upd.edu.ph/resources/pdf/what_to_do.pdf Also follow me on instagram to check out where I've actually been in the past: https://www.instagram.com/mauiesanchez/ Please don't to leave a comment below. what would it take
to turn your heart my way
to move you with each word that i say
'cause i just want to learn
and i just want to know
i just want to hold you baby forever
chances like these are seldom and few
and this is one chance i'm not going to lose
so forgive my emotions for speaking out loud
but every time you're around i won't say
whatever you want
just say the words
i'd buy you the stars
for whatever they're worth
to spell out this love across the universe
i'll do whatever you want
you can swear upon this love
for whatever you want
just one kiss
would seal our fate
just one chance is all it takes
so open your soul
and let me in
it's up to you baby
to let this love begin
whatever you want
just say the words
i'd buy you the stars
for whatever they're worth
to spell out this love across the universe
i'll do whatever you want
you can swear upon this love
for whatever you want
you're the dream
i've been waiting for
in a world where dreams are fleeting
your love is a miracle
that my soul been needing
whatever you want
just say the words
i'd buy you the stars
for whatever they're worth
to spell out this love across the universe
i'll do whatever you want
you can swear upon this love
for whatever you want
whatever you want
just say the words
i'd buy you the stars
for whatever they're worth
to spell out this love across the universe
i'll do whatever you want
you can swear upon this love
for whatever you want
whatever you, whatever you want
whatever you, whatever you want
whatever you, whatever you want
for whatever you want
