Tupac Amaru Shakur (/ˈtuːpɑːk ʃəˈkʊər/ TOO-pahk shə-KOOR; June 16, 1971 – September 13, 1996), also known by his stage names 2Pac and Makaveli, was an American rapper and actor. As of 2007, Shakur has sold over 75 million records worldwide. His double disc albums All Eyez on Me and his Greatest Hits are among the best selling albums in the United States. He has been listed and ranked as one of the greatest artists of all time by many magazines, including Rolling Stone which ranked him 86th on its list of The 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. He is consistently ranked as one of the greatest rappers ever, as well as one of the most influential rappers of all time.
Shakur began his career as a roadie, backup dancer and MC for the alternative hip hop group Digital Underground, eventually branching off as a solo artist. The themes of most of Shakur's songs revolved around the violence and hardship in inner cities, racism and other social problems. Both of his parents and several other people in his family were members of the Black Panther Party, whose ideals were reflected in his songs.
"On Me" is a song by American West Coast hip hop artist The Game, taken from his sixth studio album, The Documentary 2 (2015). It was produced by Bongo and Pops and features guest appearances by Kendrick Lamar.
All Eyez on Me is the fourth studio album by American rapper 2Pac, released on February 13, 1996 under Death Row Records and distributed by Interscope Records.
The album is frequently recognized as one of the crowning achievements of 1990s rap music. The album featured the Billboard Hot 100 number one singles "How Do U Want It" and "California Love". It featured five singles in all, the most of any of Shakur's albums. Moreover, All Eyez On Me (which was the only Death Row release to be distributed through PolyGram by way of Island Records) made history as the first double-full-length hip-hop solo studio album released for mass consumption. It was issued on two compact discs and four LPs. This was also the last album under Death Row to be a G-Funk record, as G Funk wouldn't exist after Daz Dillinger's album in 1998.
Chart-wise, All Eyez on Me was the second album from 2Pac to hit number-one on both the Billboard 200 and the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts. The album won the 1997 Soul Train R&B/Soul or Rap Album of the Year Award. Shakur also won the Award for Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Artist at the 24th Annual American Music Awards and is also commonly referred to as one of the greatest hip hop/rap albums of all time. The album was certified Diamond by the RIAA on July 23, 2014.
"Dear Mama" is a song by American hip hop recording artist 2Pac, released on February 21, 1995 as the lead single from his third studio album, Me Against the World (1995). The song is a tribute to his mother, Afeni Shakur. In the song, Shakur details his childhood poverty and his mother's addiction to crack cocaine, but argues that his love and deep respect for his mother supersede bad memories. The song topped the Billboard Hot Rap Singles chart for five weeks and also peaked at number nine on the Billboard Hot 100. The single was certified Platinum by the RIAA on July 13, 1995.
"Dear Mama" has been consistently ranked among the best of its genre, appearing on numerous "greatest" lists. In 2010, the song was added to the National Recording Registry in the Library of Congress, who deemed it a work that is "culturally, historically, or aesthetically important, and/or inform or reflect life in the United States." In a press release, the organization called the song "a moving and eloquent homage to both the murdered rapper's own mother and all mothers struggling to maintain a family in the face of addiction, poverty and societal indifference."

During a sit-down with the Outlawz, E.D.I. Mean spoke about the time 2Pac called out Black Disciples at his Chicago show after the killing of 11-year-old Robert "Yummy" Sandifer. The child was killed after pulling off a string of robberies and murders in the area, and the gang members felt that police were paying too much attention to the area and feared Sandifer would snitch, so he was killed. According to E.D.I., 2Pac read the TIME cover story about Sandifer on his way to the Chicago show, and he unleashed his rage on some gang members in the crowd, which started an all-out war. To hear more of the story, hit the above clip.

In November 1993, Shakur and others were charged with sexually assaulting a woman in a hotel room. Shakur denied the charges. According to Shakur, he had prior relations days earlier with the woman that were consensual (the woman admitted she performed oral sex on Shakur). The complainant claimed sexual assault after her second visit to Shakur's hotel room; she alleged that Shakur and his entourage raped her. As a result of the trial, Shakur was convicted of first-degree sexual abuse, and acquitted of the weapons and sodomy charges. The judge described the crimes during the sentencing of Shakur to 1½–4½ years in prison, as "an act of brutal violence against a helpless woman." While appearing on the Arsenio Hall Show, Shakur stated he was innocent of all charges and he was hurt that "a woma...

Ghetto life as a youngsta, we was gettin' by
Never imagined a picture, my mama gettin' high
But she was, sneakin' in gettin' her down low
Homies used to laugh behind my back, thinkin' i'd never know
But in time, I started to realize things ain't right
Mama sleepin' with a different man
Each & every night
Since my daddy died
Well, that's when the pressure came
Beggin' Lord
Down on my knees
Tell me who's to blame?
Was my father drug addicted?
That I never knew?
Feelin' luv with my mother now she addicted too
Full out of Hennessy, Lord, I can bearly breath
Found my mama on the floor
Now she an O.D
I call 911 fast, I can't let her die
Seen the trice in her arms
That's when I start to cry
They said my mama, would make it to another day
But how much longer will it be before she slips away?
CHORUS:
Somebody pray for me (Now)
Somebody pray for me
Somebody pray....for meeee
I remember not being able to wear the clothes
The kids was wearin'
This time was rough
So me & my brother,we was sharin'
& mama knew that we own the same size
So his Levis was my Levis (hehe)
We even had to share the same tennis shoes
& when people baby-sit us
We caught the blues
That's when we learned ain't no love, like ur mama's love
It's a gift sent from heaven, some where up above
So I learned to value, my black queen
Even though now all I see, is a dope fiend
Why do people have to use drugs?
Are inspire
Remember lil' James Daw we caught him across the fire
What about my Uncle Rodnie died of an heart attack
Him & Kiana tell the Lord can we bring him back
My hommie Rodrick he thugged heavy till he droped
Atleast he got his wish
He finally met Pac
Pray for me
