Football Club Lorient-Bretagne Sud (French pronunciation: [lɔʁjɑ̃ bʁətaɲ syd]; commonly referred to FC Lorient or simply Lorient) is a French association football club based in Lorient, Brittany. The club was founded in 1926 and currently play in Ligue 1, the top level of French football. Lorient plays its home matches at the stade Yves Allainmat, former mayor of the city located within the city. The stadium is surnamed Stade du Moustoir because of his locatoin within the city. Ripoll took over managerial duties in the summer of 2014 from long term manager Christian Gourcuff, following Gourcuff's departure to the Algerian national team. Ripoll was Gourcuff's assistant.
Lorient had a relatively bleak history nationally prior to 1998 when the club made its first appearance in Ligue 1 in the 1998–99 season. Prior to that, Lorient spent the majority of its life as an amateur club. Lorient's achieved its biggest honour in 2002 when the club won the Coupe de France defeating Bastia 1–0 in the final. Lorient has never won Ligue 1, but has won the Championnat National earning this honour in 1995. Regionally, the club has won five Brittany Division d'Honneur titles and six Coupe de Bretagne.

Filled with heart, soul and character, the bustling old port of Bastia is a good surprise. Sure, it might not measure up to the sexy style of Ajaccio or the architectural appeal of Bonifacio, but it has an irresistible magnetism. Bastia is an authentic snapshot of modern-day Corsica, a lived-in city that’s resisted the urge to polish up its image just to please the tourists. The historical neighbourhoods of Terra Vecchia and Terra Nova are especially vibrant – allow yourself a day to take in the sights, mosey around atmospheric streets and boutiques.

Corsica is widely known as the birthplace of Napoleon. In Ajaccio, everything reminds the traveler of the emperor: his house, the dome where he was christened, a museum, and the monuments… The island is full of high mountains and clear bays, but the most lasting experience is provided by the small cities like Calvi, Coste or Sarténe, with their characteristically Corsican style. Above the nice and various beaches there are many towers built under the Genovese rule. The city cores evoke the medieval France, while the magnificent mountains evoke the Alps. One cannot miss the Porto bay, the little villages famous of their craftsmanship, and Patrimonio with is well-known vineyard. One can take an unforgettable boat trip in the Bonifacio bay and in the sea caverns around the town. In the larger...
you told me to walk your way
when i followed for that simple reason
our fate was to stay
together 'til our souls departed
your will was my word
you tried to go against my speach
my word was you'd stay
together 'til our souls departed
you had no choice
was that my destiny
you belonged to me
in sickness and in health
i was your puppeteer
was that the way it should be
together 'til our souls departed
i would never change it
not for anything in the dark world
thank you for those days
i will keep them in the dark side of my mind
the day that youchanged
i will condemn the day 'til i die
what about those words you said
together 'til our souls departed
you had no choice
was that my destiny
you belonged to me
in sickness and in health
i was your puppeteer
was that the way it should be
together 'til our souls departed
the rain clears my thoughts
i embrace it like the night i live in
i'm rather lost than possessed
you will learn the rules
this life is just a game we're playing
and we will lose
there is no way to move the pieces
you had no choice
was that my destiny
you belonged to me
in sickness and in health
i was your puppeteer
was that the way it should be
together 'til our souls departed
