2012 Memorial Site: Notable Deaths & Obituaries

In 2012, stories of tragedy filled the news. We wept at news of shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary School, a Colorado movie theater, a Sikh temple, an Ohio high school. We mourned the lives lost and the devastation left behind by Superstorm Sandy and a series of tornadoes in the Midwest and South. We lost favorite celebrities of screen and song like Andy Griffith, Whitney Houston, Dick Clark and more… and we said goodbye to heroes, from Neil Armstrong to Victoria Soto.

This site was created to honor and remember celebrities, actors, athletes, musicians, journalists, politicians and other notable public figures who died in 2012.
