Omeo
Omeo (/ˈoʊmiːoʊ/ OH-mee-oh) is a town in Victoria, Australia on the Great Alpine Road, east of Mount Hotham, in the Shire of East Gippsland. At the 2011 census, Omeo had a population of 487. The name is derived from the Aboriginal word for 'mountains' or 'hills'. Omeo is affectionately known as the City of the Alps with many historic buildings remaining in the town. The town is still the commercial hub for the Omeo Region and is a service centre for outlying communities such as Benambra, Cobungra, Cassilis, Swifts Creek, and Ensay.
History
The first reported sighting by Europeans of the wide plain that the Aborigines called 'Omeo' was by the naturalist John Lhotsky from the southern alps in 1834. The area was first visited by stockmen who drove stock through the region as early as 1835. In 1845 gold was found in the Livingstone Creek which runs through Omeo, this caused the population to boom and by 1901, Omeo was at its peak with a population of 9400. They were prosperous times. The main street, Day Avenue, was packed every night with people out strolling, shopping and enjoying the evening air. Hotels and cafes were doing a roaring trade with free-spending miners, and businesses were booming. Businesses began to establish themselves. Banks arrived. In 1889, the Colonial Bank of Australia. In 1892, the Commercial Bank. A J McDonald, one of the states leading architects designed the post and telegraph office and new courthouse. They were completed in 1891 and 1892 and remain unique for their architecture to this day.

Me... Myself
Me... Myself (Thai: ขอให้รักจงเจริญ) or Khaw hai rak jong jaroen) is a 2007 Thai romance drama film directed by Pongpat Wachirabunjong. Ananda Everingham stars as a gay male dancer in a transvestite cabaret who has amnesia after being struck by a car.
Plot
A man is robbed while making a call in a phone booth. Staggering in the middle of the road from the beating by the thieves, he is then struck by a car driving by a woman named Oom. Feeling sorry for him, Oom brings the man to her apartment and gives him shelter. The man, it turns out, has developed amnesia. Based the name on a pendant the man is wearing – his only possession – Oom names him Tan. A doctor's examination reveals that Tan is uninjured except that he can't remember anything about his life prior to being struck by Oom's car. Tan is given a journal and urged to free associate in an effort to recall his past life.
Oom is experiencing trouble in her own life. She has recently broken up with her domineering boyfriend, Krit, whom she still sees at her workplace, where she is a creative director for an advertising agency. Oom is also had motherhood thrust upon her, since she is caring for her nephew, the son of her dead sister.

Blowhard Hut - Great Alpine Road
The huts of the miners and cattlemen were not the only valuable shelters for those in the alpine regions. During the 1920s with the increase of motoring traffic traversing the Alpine Road, the huts were built in conjunction with the road upgrades. Originally recommended by superintendent of the Hotham Country Roads Board (CRB) crew, Bill Spargo (miner and later discoverer of the famous Red Robin mine) recommended the erection of these valuable shelters for motorist. Other CRB shelters were erected at strategic points along the Alpine road at: Corbett’s Flat, Blowhard, Diamantina Springs, Whiskey Flat, Dinner Plain and Boggy Creek Hut towards Omeo from Dinner Plain.

After cycling more than 115 kilometers the previous day, I decided to take it easy and cycle just a short 35 kilometers from Reghin, Romania to the nearby city of Targu Mures. It was a cold, wet bike ride to Targu Mures, and once I got to the city, I almost immediately got a flat tire! My first flat tire in over two years!!! After finding a pension in which to spend the night, I met up with a Bicycle Touring Pro reader and Targu Mures local named Gergő Kiss.
This video was shot on March 29, 2015 during my bike tour from Poland to Romania via Ukraine.

During the 1920s with the increase of motoring traffic traversing the Alpine Road, the huts were built in conjunction with the road upgrades.
Originally recommended by superintendent of the Hotham Country Roads Board (CRB) crew, Bill Spargo (miner and later discoverer of the famous Red Robin mine) recommended the erection of these valuable shelters for motorist.
Other CRB shelters were erected at strategic points along the Alpine road at: Corbett’s Flat, Blowhard, Diamantina Springs, Whiskey Flat, Dinner Plain and Boggy Creek Hut towards Omeo from Dinner Plain.
