EASTENDERS fans are terrified Danny Dyer's character Mick Carter is going to die in a dramatic week of episodes.
The actor has been pictured on location filming harrowing scenes that show his on-screen wife Linda and son Johnny caught up in an ambulance crash.
But fans fear the scenes, which form a small part of a huge dramatic week on the show, are a red-herring and it could be Mick who dies.
In last night's episode a hard-drinking Mick found himself on the Queen Vic roof and viewers were even convinced that he would fall and die then.
So the filming pictures have led to panic that the beloved character will meet his end.
Yesterday we revealed how the show is lining up a huge weeks of episode with multiple characters facing death.
The BBC One soap is planning an epic week of dramatic episodes which will rip through Walford and leave favourite characters' lives hanging in the balance.
Filming pictures taken on location have shown Linda and Johnny Carter being involved in a horror crash when the ambulance that is rushing them to hospital crashes and flips over.
A horrified Jack Branning, who is following behind the ambulance, will look on in horror as the crash happens and fight to save them.
And when Mick Carter arrives to see his wife and son fighting for their lives, he will be held back by police as he desperately tries to get to them.

An EastEnders insider told The Sun Online: "There's a huge storyline coming to Walford with major drama for the Square's residents.
"Bosses are staying tight-lipped about the devastating consequences of the crash with lives hanging in the balance.
"It's going to be a really exciting time but the crash is just a small part of the dramatic episodes - there's even more to come."
The special episodes will air in September and viewers will have to tune in to discover if the Carters suffer another devastating loss."
Filming for one of the major stunts in the week, an ambulance crash, went horribly wrong earlier this week when the ambulance turned over instead of just spinning as had been planned.
Fortunately no-one was hurt in the incident with just a stuntman in the ambulance as it happened, but bystanders were said to be left terrified.
The Sun revealed how quick-thinking producers were forced to pull off a hasty rewrite after the flip happened to incorporate it into the scripts to make it even more dramatic for viewers.
A witness, 34, told The Sun: “All that was meant to happen was the ambulance was meant to spin round – that was what had been scripted.
“And they were going to pull somebody out of the ambulance and put them into a helicopter, although there was no helicopter there today.
“The ambulance was meant to stay on all-fours [wheels], but it didn’t – it flipped over. So the whole scene might have to be changed now.
“Lots of the crew were stood near me. They said, ‘Three, two, one, go, go, go!’
“As soon as it flipped, they said, ‘S***! Oh my god!’ and they all ran towards it.
“It was only a stuntman inside and he was OK, luckily.
“But the whole scene might have to change, because they were supposed to walk into the ambulance and pull the trolley out and then put it into a helicopter.
“But you can’t walk into it normally, if it’s flipped over.”
