Blue Stahli is a Detroit, Michigan-based electronic rock project that was created by multi-instrumentalist Bret Autrey. Blue Stahli has appeared in a number of movie trailers, shows, and games.

History

Musical beginnings (1998-2007)

Blue Stahli started as a high school project under the name of 'VOXiS:MACHINA', later 'VOXiS', and in 2006 he released his debut album Darkeworld: Project One which features various collection of songs, demos and experiments through the years 1998 to 2006, being re-released through the FiXT Music label in 2007, prior to his signing. Bret Autrey's musical talents were self-taught.

Klayton (of Celldweller; founder of the FiXT Music label) discovered Blue Stahli in 2007 through a remix contest for "Own Little World", titled as the 'Remorse Code remix'. After he was signed he was relocated to Detroit, the residence of the FiXT Music label and its studios.

Signing with FiXT Music and album releases (2008-2013)

The following year Blue Stahli debuted with his first single, Kill Me Every Time then later releasing his first instrumental based album Antisleep Vol. 01. Blue Stahli released additional singles which led up to the release of his first vocal album (with FiXT) Blue Stahli in 2011. He also released 2 more instrumental albums as sequels to "Antisleep Vol. 01" in 2012 and 2013.

Bring It Down

Bring it Down is the debut album by New York City-based alternative rock band Madder Rose. It was released in 1993 on Seed Records.

Reception

It received mainly positive reviews upon its release, and prompted many British critics to proclaim Madder Rose as the second coming of the Velvet Underground. It has been described, retrospectively, as "an amalgam of driving beats, searing guitars, and sweet vocals." In addition, in a favorable review, Rachel Felder compared Madder Rose's guitar sound to that of Dinosaur Jr. and My Bloody Valentine. However, some critics criticized the album for sounding too much like typical indie rock.

The O.C. (season 3)

The third season of The O.C. commenced airing in the United States on September 8, 2005, concluded on May 18, 2006, and consisted of 25 episodes. The first ten episodes of season three aired Thursdays at 8:00 p.m. ET in the US on FOX, a terrestrial television network; however, from January 12, 2006 onwards, The O.C. was shifted to a later time of Thursdays at 9:00 p.m. ET.

Following on from season two, the series continues to follow the characters' lives in the wealthy community of Newport Beach, Orange County, California, with the main characters entering their final year of high school. Series creator Josh Schwartz said he wanted to explore the characters moving away as he "didn't want to be one of the shows that stayed in high school too long". He added that "graduating from high school is such a sentimental moment for kids and parents. It's something we knew we wanted to mine and explore." The season revolves around Ryan Atwood's savior complex causing trouble, and Seth Cohen's lies posing problems in his relationship with Summer Roberts. Seth's mother Kirsten attends rehab in an attempt to put her life back together, while her husband Sandy assumes leadership of the Newport Group after Caleb Nichol's death and finds himself the heir-apparent to a legacy of scandal, and Marissa Cooper spirals out of control after her younger sister Kaitlin causes trouble on her return home from boarding school. The season was released on DVD as a seven disc boxed set under the title The O.C.: The Complete Third Season on October 24, 2006 by Warner Bros. Home Video.

Music video

A music video or song video is a short film integrating a song and imagery, produced for promotional or artistic purposes. Modern music videos are primarily made and used as a marketing device intended to promote the sale of music recordings. There are also cases where songs are used in tie in marketing campaigns that allow them to become more than just a song. Tie ins and merchandising could be used in toys are marketing campaigns for food and other products. Although the origins of music videos date back to musical short films that first appeared in the 1920s, they came into prominence in the 1980s when MTV based their format around the medium. Prior to the 1980s, these works were described by various terms including "illustrated song", "filmed insert", "promotional (promo) film", "promotional clip", "promotional video", "song video", "song clip" or "film clip". Since the creation and increased popularity of YouTube, mainstream artists now promote new music videos by releasing trailers of short promos on the site for their upcoming song and music video. Consequentially, YouTube has been converted into a social media platform for celebrities and artists to market themselves to their fans and audiences.
