Arne Mattsson (2 December 1919 - 28 June 1995) was a Swedish film director, born in Uppsala.
His early movies were mostly comedies. His biggest success was Hon dansade en sommar (1951, aka. One Summer of Happiness), which earned him the Golden Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival and a nomination for the Grand Prize at the Cannes Film Festival in 1952. It caused some controversy at the time because it containined nudity.
His 1953 film of Peder Sjögren's second novel, Bread of Love (Kärlekens bröd), based on Sjögren's experiences as a volunteer in the Finnish Continuation War of 1941-44 angered the author, was banned in Finland and incurred the wrath of the Soviets at the Cannes Film Festival. In spite of all this, Sjögren grudgingly admitted that as a study of men under severe pressure it was impressive.
In 1958 he directed Damen i svart, the first in the series of five Hillman-thrillers, centred on Folke Mellvig's crime-solving middle-class city couple Kajsa and John Hillman. The second in the series, Mannekäng i rött (1958), is considered by some to be a precursor of the Italian giallo films, notably Mario Bava's Blood and Black Lace.
Karl Sigurd Tore "Sigge" Fürst (3 November 1905 – 11 June 1984) was a Swedish film actor who appeared in more than 130 films. He was born in Stockholm, Sweden and died there of lung cancer in 1984.
As well as appearing in films, Fürst made several radio shows, like the long-running Frukostklubben (the breakfast club) broadcast on radio on Saturday mornings from 1946-1949 and 1955-1978 (from 1968 also on Sundays), with invited guests.

One Summer of Happiness (Swedish: Hon dansade en sommar - She danced for a summer) is a 1951 Swedish film by director Arne Mattsson, based on the 1949 novel Sommardansen (The Summer Dance) by Per Olof Ekström. It was the first Swedish film to win the Golden Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival. It was also nominated for the Palme d'Or at the 1952 Cannes Film Festival. Today, the film is mainly known for its nude scenes, which caused much controversy at the time and, together with Ingmar Bergman's Summer with Monika (1953), spread the image of Swedish "free love" around the world. Relato de un amor adolescente, a la par que un amor de verano, entre una campesina y un estudiante que está de vacaciones en la granja de su tío, con el rechazo unánime del puritanísimo pueblo. Al ser p...
(aka "The Woman In Black.") The first of five mystery thrillers made by Swedish director, Arne Mattsson, and featuring the Hillmans - a husband-and-wife detective team. A series of strange murders at a country house seem to be the work of the mysterious "Woman In Black." The Hillmans are called in to investigate.
(aka "Model In Red.") The second of Arne Mattsson's Hillman murder mysteries sees the husband-and-wife team investigating a series of murders connected to an elite modeling agency. Some people speculate whether this film had any influence on Mario Bava's classic giallo "Blood & Black Lace" made six years later, since both use sumptuous colour photography and are set in the fashion industry, but my view is that Bava was such an innovator and visual stylist that this is probably not the case.
