Rock Hudson (born Roy Harold Scherer, Jr.; November 17, 1925 – October 2, 1985) was an American actor. Hudson is generally known for his turns as a leading man in the 1950s and 1960s and is viewed as a prominent actor and 'heartthrob' of the Hollywood Golden Age. He achieved stardom with roles in films such as Magnificent Obsession (1954), All That Heaven Allows (1955) and Giant (1956), and found continued success with a string of romantic comedies co-starring Doris Day in Pillow Talk (1959), Lover Come Back (1961) and Send Me No Flowers (1964). After appearing in films like Seconds (1966), Tobruk (1967) and Ice Station Zebra (1968) in the late 1960s, Hudson began a second career in television through the 1970s and '80s, starring in the popular mystery series McMillan & Wife and the soap opera Dynasty.
Hudson was voted Star of the Year, Favorite Leading Man, and similar titles by numerous film magazines. He completed nearly 70 films and starred in several television productions during a career that spanned over four decades. Hudson died in 1985, becoming the first major celebrity to die from an AIDS-related illness.

A Christian ( pronunciation ) is a person who adheres to Christianity, an Abrahamic, monotheistic religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. "Christian" derives from the Koine Greek word Christós (Χριστός), a translation of the Biblical Hebrew term mashiach.
There are diverse interpretations of Christianity which sometimes conflict. However, "Whatever else they might disagree about, Christians are at least united in believing that Jesus has a unique significance." The term "Christian" is also used adjectivally to describe anything associated with Christianity, or in a proverbial sense "all that is noble, and good, and Christ-like." It is also used as a label to identify people who associate with the cultural aspects of Christianity, irrespective of personal religious beliefs or practices.
According to a 2011 Pew Research Center survey, there were 2.2 billion Christians around the world in 2010, up from about 600 million in 1910. By 2050, the Christian population is expected to exceed 3 billion. According to a 2012 Pew Research Center survey Christianity will remain the world's largest religion in 2050, if current trends continue.

Phyllis Lucille Gates (December 7, 1925 – January 4, 2006) was an American secretary and interior decorator known for her three-year marriage to the actor Rock Hudson. The story of their marriage was depicted in the 1990 TV film Rock Hudson, starring Daphne Ashbrook (as Gates) and Thomas Ian Griffith (as Hudson).
Gates was born in Dawson, Minnesota, and raised on a farm. Early in her life, she worked as a sales clerk in a department store, airline stewardess, and secretary for a New York City talent agent, before moving to Hollywood to work for the Hollywood talent agent, Henry Willson, who represented actors Rock Hudson, Tab Hunter and Rory Calhoun.
Gates met Rock Hudson in October 1954. They started dating some time later and were married in Santa Barbara, California, on November 9, 1955, shortly after he finished filming Giant. Following a brief honeymoon in Jamaica, their marriage began to disintegrate. They separated in 1957, following rumors that Hudson had committed adultery while on location in Italy for the film A Farewell to Arms. The rumors were later confirmed by a close friend of Gates's, who also revealed to her that the individual Hudson had the affair with was a man. The divorce was eventually finalized in 1958.
2/27/1989. Following Hudson's death, Marc Christian, Hudson's former lover, sued his estate on grounds of "intentional infliction of emotional distress". Christian claimed Hudson continued having sex with him until February 1985, more than eight months after Hudson knew he had HIV. Although he repeatedly tested negative for HIV, Christian claimed that he suffered from "severe emotional distress" after learning from a newscast that Hudson had died of AIDS. Christian also sued Hudson's personal secretary, Mark Miller, for $10 million because Miller allegedly lied to him about Hudson's illness. In 1989, a jury awarded Christian $21.75 million in damages, later reduced to $5.5 million. Christian died of "pulmonary problems" caused by years of heavy smoking in June 2009.
Rock Hudson's Ex-Lover Marc Christian Wins Landmark Lawsuit over AIDS Concealment. The jury found that: 1) at the time Christian and Hudson were engaging in "high risk sex," Hudson knew he had AIDS and concealed that information from Christian; 2) at the time Christian and Hudson were engaging in high risk sex, Hudson affirmatively misrepresented his physical condition to Christian; 3) Hudson's misrepresentations and concealment were made with the intent to induce Christian to continue engaging in "high risk sex" with Hudson; 4) Christian reasonably relied upon Hudson's misrepresentations and concealment and, as a result, suffered increased emotional distress; 5) Hudson's conduct was outrageous; and 6) Hudson's outrageous acts were done by Hudson with either intent to cause Christian emoti...

An interview with Rock Hudson during the filming of Seconds in 1965, on location in Scarsdale, New York. (MSNBC footage)
Interview titled " In Conversation with Rock Hudson " At " The Paul Ryan Show ". Rock was one of many Hollywood actors up for the starring role in Giant. Rock was given the coveted role : It was a screening of the western "The Lawless Breed" that convinced George Stevens that Rock could convincingly age from a young man to a grandfather.
This interview was filmed in April 1984. Rock Hudson passed away on October 2, 1985. Ironically, during this interview, he told me, "I will not be sick". A charming and giving man with enormous talent. We lost him too soon.
UPDATE: I DISABLED COMMENTS DUE TO TOO MANY INAPPROPRIATE COMMENTS: homophobia, religious extremism, horny comments.... Pity in 21th century... Phyllis Gates talks about her marriage to Rock. She says it was a good marriage and that she was completely blindsided when he began staying out late and leaving home for days at a time - BUT when she decided enough was enough and told him she was divorcing him, he begged her to stay (he still wanted to continue his absences from home). They were married for three years and divorced in 1958. She talks about grieving for him and never did remarry. She received $250 a week for 10 years and sold jewelry he had given her to help get by through the years.
After a seven-week trial and a three-day deliberation (Jan 6, 1989-Feb 14, 1989), the jury decided the late Rock Hudson had conspired with his secretary to keep his disease hidden from his live-in lover Marc Christian, so they could continue to have sex and awarded Marc Christian $14.5million in compensatory damages the previous day(Feb 15, 1989). The next day they would return to decide the punitive damages only against the other defendant Mark Miller, meanwhile Marc Christian’s attorney Harold Rhoden would ask the jury to double that award as a message to the world that people with AIDS have a duty to warn their partners.

"Forever Young" is a power ballad from German rock group Alphaville's 1984 debut album of the same name. The single was a strong hit in Scandinavia and in the European German-speaking countries in the same year. Although it was not the group's highest-charting European hit, and it failed to reach the American Top 40 despite three separate U.S. single releases, "Forever Young" has subsequently been covered by numerous artists. Would you give it all?
To take you back when
I know it's been so long
Since you felt the same
You're all I need, you're all I need
You're all I need, you're all I need
When you touch the lips
And not forget to kiss
To hold me in your arms
And never let go
You're all I need, you're all I need
You're all I need, you're all I need
To hold me in your arms
And never let go
You're all I need, you're all I need
You're all I need, you're all I need
