I’M TRYING to understand what the local morning sports talk radio show host are trying sell us on Lobo football based on last season. They were a bowl winner over the most mediocre team in the country on their home field. … They lost to bottom 20 teams NMSU/Rutgers. I just can’t think of any impressive wins last season, Air Force or Wyoming the closest. I know they play at (Texas) A&M this year but the rest of schedule is Cream Puff U. Just not interested.

HEY RR, you lay blame at the NMAA doorstep about the poor conditions of the venue (namely Eldorado HS) for an all-star basketball game. Get your facts straight first. The NMAA had nothing to do with that event. It was staged by the coaches’ association.

AS OLE MISS circles the wagons, let’s remember that Ole Miss and a bunch of other SEC teams have won the national title in football. The ACC has been good lately but … when (it)  has at least seven teams that have won the national title in football, then it can claim to be in competition with the SEC.
