The Thiers wall was the last of the defensive walls of Paris. It was an enclosure constructed between 1841 and 1844 under a law enacted by the government of the French prime minister, Adolphe Thiers. It covered 7,802 hectares (19,280 acres), along the "boulevards des Maréchaux" (Boulevards of the Marshals) of today. A sloping area outside the wall, called a glacis, extended outward from the Thiers wall to the location of today's Boulevard Périphérique. The wall was demolished in stages between 1919 and 1929.
History
Louis-Philippe, proclaimed king of the French in 1830, was convinced that the key to defence of France was to prevent Paris from falling too easily into the hands of foreign armies as happened during the Battle of Paris in 1814. So he conceived the project of building around the city an enclosure of walls that would make the city impregnable.
A first draft was presented to the Chamber of Deputies in early 1833 by Marshal Soult, Council President and Minister of War. It immediately sparked a fierce resistance from the left, whose speakers suspected, or pretended to suspect, that the government had ulterior political motives: that the fortifications were, in fact, designed not to defend France, but to threaten the Parisians in case they come to revolt against the monarchy.

Tramways in Île-de-France
The French region of Île-de-France, encompassing the capital city of Paris, currently has nine operational modern tram lines (French: Tramways d'Île-de-France) – counting Lines 3a and 3b as separate lines – and is planning additional lines. Of the existing lines, seven are operated by its public transport authority, RATP, which also operates the Paris Métro and most bus services. One line (T4) is operated the French national rail operator SNCF. Three of the lines serve Paris. The eight lines are generally unconnected, although connections between lines T2 and T3a, and T3a and T3b, already exist, with additional connections between lines T1 and T5 opened in 2013 and between lines T1 and T8 opened in 2014; however, the final design of the entire planned tram network is fairly integrated.
History
From 1855 to 1938, Paris was served by an extensive tramway network, predating the metro by nearly a half-century. In 1925 the network had a 1111 km length, with 122 lines. In the 1930s, the oil and automobile industry lobbies put pressure on the Paris Police Prefecture to remove tram tracks to make room for cars. The last of these first generation tram lines in Paris, Porte de Saint-Cloud to Porte de Vincennes, was closed in 1937, and the last line in the entire Paris agglomeration, running between Le Raincy and Montfermeil, ended its service on 14 August 1938.

People Falling from the World Trade Center
Viewer discretion is strongly advised due to graphic contents. On the morning of September 11th 2001 almost 3,000 innocent people were murdered by Al Qaeda terrorists. As many as 200 people jumped / fell to their deaths from their burning offices on the uppermost floors of the 110-storey twin towers of the World Trade Center before both towers collapsed. They symbolize the true horror of that day as well as the desperate conditions inside the towers. Intense heat and suffocating smoke pushed people to break their office windows to get some fresh air. People fell one after the other, in pairs, and in groups at a time. Since that tragic day, images/footages of these victims were kept away from the public which, I believe, is disrespectful. From Wiki : Spirit, MER-A (Mars Exploration Rover -- A), is a robotic rover on Mars, active from 2004 to 2010. It was one of two rovers of NASA's ongoing Mars Exploration Rover Mission. It landed successfully on Mars at 04:35 Ground UTC on January 4, 2004, three weeks before its twin, Opportunity (MER-B), landed on the other side of the planet. Its name was chosen through a NASA-sponsored student essay competition. The rover became stuck in late 2009, and its last communication with Earth was sent on March 22, 2010.
The rover completed its planned 90-sol mission. Aided by cleaning events that resulted in higher power from its solar panels, Spirit went on to function effectively over twenty times longer than NASA planners expected following mission completion. Spirit also logged 7.73 km (4.8 mi) of driving instead of the planned 600 m (0.4 mi), allowing more extensive geological analysis of Martian rocks and planetary surface features. Initial scientific results from the first phase of the mission (the 90-sol prime mission) were published in a special issue of the journal Science.
On May 1, 2009 (5 years, 3 months, 27 Earth days after landing; 21.6 times the planned mission duration), Spirit became stuck in soft soil. This was not the first of the mission's "embedding events" and for the following eight months NASA carefully analyzed the situation, running Earth-based theoretical and practical simulations, and finally programming the rover to make extrication drives in an attempt to free itself. These efforts continued until January 26, 2010 when NASA officials announced that the rover was likely irrecoverably obstructed by its location in soft soil, though it continued to perform scientific research from its current location.
The rover continued in a stationary science platform role until communication with Spirit stopped on sol 2210 (March 22, 2010). JPL continued to attempt to regain contact until May 24, 2011, when NASA announced that efforts to communicate with the unresponsive rover had ended. A formal farewell was planned at NASA headquarters after the Memorial Day holiday and was televised on NASA TV.

On May 1, 2009 (5 years, 3 months, 27 Earth days after landing; 21.6 times the planned mission duration), Spirit became stuck in soft soil. This was not the first of the mission's "embedding events" and for the following eight months NASA carefully analyzed the situation, running Earth-based theoretical and practical simulations, and finally programming the rover to make extrication drives in an attempt to free itself. These efforts continued until January 26, 2010 when NASA officials announced that the rover was likely irrecoverably obstructed by its location in soft soil, though it continued to perform scientific research from its current location.
The rover continued in a stationary science platform role until communication with Spirit stopped on sol 2210 (March 22, 2010). JPL continued to attempt to regain contact until May 24, 2011, when NASA announced that efforts to communicate with the unresponsive rover had ended. A formal farewell was planned at NASA headquarters after the Memorial Day holiday and was televised on NASA TV.

In chess in the beginning of the game, we want to bring out our army and get it ready to fight, and we also want to make sure that our king is safe. A lot of teachers use, what is called the ten golden moves, or sometimes it's also know as the bull's head, let me demonstrate.
White brings up a pawn to the center, his goal is then to bring up the other pawn to the center. The two pawns in the center are what is known as a duo, it's a very valuable thing to have, it acts as a shield and you can develop your pieces around and behind it. You can develop one knight here to f3, the other knight goes to c3, this is four golden moves. White brings up a bishop, five golden moves, brings up the other bishop, six golden moves. The king castles gets to safety, seven golden moves, brings up the queen to get out-of-the-way of the rooks, eight golden moves. Nine and ten, the rooks come to the middle of the board and these are the ten golden moves.
It's also known as the bull's head, the two center pawns are supposed to represent the forehead of the bull, the bishops are like it's horns and the rest of the pieces behind the two center pawns are like the body of the bull. And this whole unit is ready to go and start marching down the board and go get the black king.
These are known as the ten golden rules, you might not be able to get your pieces on to these exact squares every time yourself, in fact it's your opponents job to try to stop you from being able to do that. But this is the sort of thing you're trying to do with your pieces in the opening.

Viewer discretion is strongly advised due to graphic contents. On the morning of September 11th 2001 almost 3,000 innocent people were murdered by Al Qaeda terrorists. As many as 200 people jumped / fell to their deaths from their burning offices on the uppermost floors of the 110-storey twin towers of the World Trade Center before both towers collapsed. They symbolize the true horror of that day as well as the desperate conditions inside the towers. Intense heat and suffocating smoke pushed people to break their office windows to get some fresh air. People fell one after the other, in pairs, and in groups at a time. Since that tragic day, images/footages of these victims were kept away from the public which, I believe, is disrespectful. We should not deny nor ignore what these victims did at the very last moments of thier lives. They deserve to be confronted, acknowledged, and not be forgotten as much as we would never forget 9/11. May this be a tribute to them. WE WILL NEVER FORGET.
