Following my two earlier reports about Paris CDG Airport, Terminal 1 and 2E, here’s a video of the second Parisian airport, Orly, Terminal West - Hall 2 which I went through mid-February when taking an Air France A321 shuttle flight to Toulouse (TLS) in order to visit the Airbus A380 final assembly line.

My first flight on a British Airways Airbus A320. I've done 737,
747's, 767's, A319's, ERJ190's but never got round to being on an
A320. Until now. I was flying later that morning from Paris Orly on a Corsair 747 (look out for those videos) and so booked the morning BA flight their from Heathrow. A very nice flight as usual with BA, great service for a short-haul route, complimentary snack and drinks and we weren't even airborne an hour. A typical grey, hazy morning, but once broken through the cloud layers clear skies as the sun rose.

I've done 737, 747's, 767's, A319's, ERJ190's but never got round to being on an A320. Until now. I was flying later that morning from Paris Orly on a Corsair 747 (look out for those videos) and so booked the morning BA flight their from Heathrow. A very nice flight as usual with BA, great service for a short-haul route, complimentary snack and drinks and we weren't even airborne an hour. My first flight on a British Airways Airbus A320. I've done 737,
747's, 767's, A319's, ERJ190's but never got round to being on an
A320. Until now. I was flying later that morning from Paris Orly on a Corsair 747 (look out for those videos) and so booked the morning BA flight their from Heathrow. A very nice flight as usual with BA, great service for a short-haul route, complimentary snack and drinks and we weren't even airborne an hour. A typical grey, hazy morning, but once broken through the cloud layers clear skies as the sun rose.

Paris, the capital of France, attracts 42 million visitors a year.
You can start your Paris tour on the metro, on foot, or with a taxi or bicycle; the city is easily navigable on all fronts. Visit the Arc de Triomphe in the center of the city and marvel at its graceful lines and commanding presence. Built between 1806 and 1836, the Arc is one of a number of historical arches and landmarks peppering Paris.

So we're wrapping things up here. What would be your one tip for visiting Paris? Well, I have recently spent a whole ten days here in summer. I would say that if you really want to visit the art galleries, the museums and all of the main attractions you should probably avoid summer and like either come in the spring or the fall or even winter. Because the lines are insane and sometimes you have to wait like an hour and a half or two hours.
So how about you? What are your final thoughts on Paris? So my finals thoughts is obviously Paris is one of the top cities in the world in terms of attractions. There is going to be garbage, there is going to be lines, there is going to be some areas that are a bit of an eyesore. But there is also a lot of beauty and there is also a lot to do here.

Paris is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. First established by the Celts, next used strategically by the Romans, then it served the extravagant lifestyle of the Sun King, Louis XIV until it became a hotbed of Revolution.
Champs-Élysée is surely one of the most beautiful avenues in the world. It has wide boulevards, shady corners, ambient street cafes and classic Parisian buildings that are decorated with flowers.
Since 1873, the Palais de l'Élysée has been the residence of the French President. At the beginning of the 17th century, Madame de Pompadour lived there and during the Revolution the liberated people cavorted in its luxurious rooms.
Through a small triumphal arch decorated with scenes of Napoleon's victorious army, there is the garden created by Leotre, the Jardin des Tuileries. A bridge and fountain are the focal points of this popular park, created in typical French style.
A modern glass pyramid and a fountain decorate the courtyard of the former Louvre Palace, which since the time of the Revolution has been transformed into a museum that contains the famous Louvre art gallery. Its collection of remarkable historic treasures and superb art collection make it one of the world's most famous museums with Leonardo Da Vinci´s masterpiece, the Mona Lisa, taking pride of place.
Situated on a small island on the River Seine is the Cathedral of Notre Dame, the 'Mother Church of the Nation'. Built on the foundations of a Roman temple and commissioned by the bishops Maurice and Eudes de Sully, it took almost 200 years to build this Gothic masterpiece.
Built at the end of the 19th century as a symbol of national revival, Montmartre's Sacre Coeur has the appearance of a white, fairy-tale palace with 237 steps that lead up to the main entrance of this extraordinary structure. Its Byzantine architecture and five cupolas are reminiscent of the Marcus Dome in Venice.
Of course, there are the dizzy heights of the Eiffel Tower and a great deal more. Paris is a wonderful festival of the senses!

Review: This flight was very nice! Departed and arrived on-time. The plane was an Air France aircraft and the crew was dressed as Air France employees, yet they still maintained the Transavia brand throughout the flight. Did not reserve any luggage, simply carried-on a backpack, free of charge. The seats were very comfortable and the staff was nice! Great flight.

Transavia France has been offering flights from London Luton to Paris Orly since April 22nd, so only one week prior to this so still a new airline at Luton. With return fares from £50 I decided to give them a go! Little to my knowledge at the time this aircraft was only one month old too. Its first flight was on March 21st this year! (2016). So a brand newly furbished and painted aircraft. However all was wasn't going to plan, French air traffic control strike meant the aircraft had arrived around 20mins late so boarding commenced at around our departure time of 8am. I was due to fly home from Paris the previous evening but due to French ATC strikes the flight was cancelled and we were rebooked onto this flight the following morning. However Transavia France handled the entire situation appallingly. On their own website it says that in the event of a cancellation resulting in an extra nights stay they will arrange accommodation and transport to/from hotels. When confronting them about this they denied all responsibility for all the cancellations and denied any responsibility for all 600 + passengers from 6 other cancelled flights. Transavia France has been offering flights from London Luton to Paris Orly since April 22nd, so only one week prior to this so still a new airline at Luton. So a brand newly furbished and painted aircraft. However all was wasn't going to plan, French air traffic control strike meant the aircraft had arrived around 20mins late so boarding commenced at around our departure time of 8am. Once boarding was complete, we were just about set until the crew did a headcount. The crews headcount didn't match that of the ground staff. So the paperwork wasn't matching with the number of passengers onboard. The crew then did several more head counts each, before ground staff boarded the aircraft and asked for everyone to present their boarding passes again. Eventually after 2 hours the problem was solved, a new passenger list had been printed and we were on our way! Taking off 2 hours and 22mins behind scheduled. A beautiful day for flying, fairly clear skies across southern England so some fantastic views of various towns along the way and Stansted Airport. Because of the French Air Traffic Control strike we had to take quite unusual routing. We proceeded south east and into Belgium airspace until we were about level with Paris before making a turn to the right and heading directly towards Paris Orly airport. Lots of cloud surfing during the descent, some great shots as we go in and out of the dense cloud formations before our approach and landing on RWY26 at Paris Orly. Despite the delay quite a nice flight and aircraft. But our problems were far from over as our return flight was cancelled later that evening. Look out for a video on that.

Not a good experience with Transavia. An eventful stay in Paris to say the least. I was due to fly home from Paris the previous evening but due to French ATC strikes the flight was cancelled and we were rebooked onto this flight the following morning. However Transavia France handled the entire situation appallingly. On board the summer only, seasonal charter Corsair Boeing 747-400 which operates once weekly on behalf of Air France & Air Corsica during the summer season to take the extra capacity of passengers between the mainland and the French island of Corsica. The entire aircraft is an economy flight, so I chose to take a seat in the upstairs cabin in the first class seats which were no extra cost and it was my first time upstairs on an aircraft! The seating was fantastic, so much room and great entertainment system, could easily have sat up there for a long flight. The flight was about half an hour late departing Paris due to the long time it took to actually board all the passengers. The arrival in Ajaccio is stunning, a fantastic "Circle To Land" approach shows some beautiful views of the coast line and mountainous terrain across the island. But overall a fantastic flight on such a legendary aircraft.

One thing I will add, is that although upstairs is a great experience, for filming and photography its not great because of the space between the bigger seats and the window and the tilted walls make for a difficult view of the wing.
This aircrafts first flight was on 23rd October 1992 and it was delivered to United Airlines with reg. N188UA on 4th December of the same year, making the aircraft older than me! Still classic and still going very strong! Incredible flight :)
*As always by Full Flight I mean the videos includes EVERY part of the flight from Boarding until Disembarkation! Not literally a 2 hour video of nothing. If you want that, you're at the wrong channel.
