Mohr may refer to:
Manfred Mohr (b. June 8, 1938 in Pforzheim/Germany) is a digital art pioneer. He has lived and worked in New York since 1981.
Mohr started his career as an action painter and jazz musician. He began using the computer in 1969 because of a growing interest in creating algorithmic art. He lived in Barcelona in 1962 and in Paris between 1963 and 1983.
His early computer works are algorithmic and based on his former drawings with a strong attitude on rhythm and repetition. In 1990 he was awarded the Prix Ars Electronica (Golden Nica) at Ars Electronica festival in Linz, Austria. He maintained an art studio in Paris from 1963 to 1983. Mohr attended Kunst + Werkschule in Pforzheim and École des Beaux-Arts in Paris.
In 1968 he co-founded the seminar "Art et Informatique" at the University of Vincennes and in May 1971 had a solo exhibit at ARC - Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris. Since then, that exhibition has become known historically as the first solo show in a museum of works entirely calculated and drawn by a computer.
Mohr's circle, named after Christian Otto Mohr, is a two-dimensional graphical representation of the transformation law for the Cauchy stress tensor.
After performing a stress analysis on a material body assumed as a continuum, the components of the Cauchy stress tensor at a particular material point are known with respect to a coordinate system. The Mohr circle is then used to determine graphically the stress components acting on a rotated coordinate system, i.e., acting on a differently oriented plane passing through that point.
The abscissa, , and ordinate, , of each point on the circle, are the magnitudes of the normal stress and shear stress components, respectively, acting on the rotated coordinate system. In other words, the circle is the locus of points that represent the state of stress on individual planes at all their orientations, where the axes represent the principal axes of the stress element.
Karl Culmann was the first to conceive a graphical representation for stresses while considering longitudinal and vertical stresses in horizontal beams during bending. Mohr's contribution extended the use of this representation for both two- and three-dimensional stresses and developed a failure criterion based on the stress circle.
16 mm film is a popular, economical gauge of film. 16 mm is the width of the film. Other common film gauges include 8 mm and 35 mm. It is generally used for non-theatrical (e.g., industrial, educational) film making or for low budget motion pictures. It also existed as a popular amateur or home movie making format for several decades, alongside 8 mm film and, later, Super 8 mm film. In 1923, Eastman Kodak released the first 16 mm "outfit" consisting of a camera, projector, tripod, screen and splicer for $335. RCA-Victor introduced a 16 mm sound movie projector in 1932 and developed an optical sound-on-film 16 mm camera, released in 1935.
Eastman Kodak introduced 16 mm film in 1923 as a less expensive amateur alternative to 35 mm film. During the 1920s, the format was often referred to as sub-standard by the professional industry.
Kodak hired Willard Beech Cook from his 28 mm Pathescope of America company to create the new 16 mm Kodascope Library. In addition to making home movies, people could buy or rent films from the library, a key selling aspect of the format.
Square Roots (previously called the Folk & Roots Festival) is a two- to three-day music festival that has been held each summer in the Lincoln Square neighborhood in Chicago since 1998. Organized by the Old Town School of Folk Music and the Lincoln Square Chamber of Commerce, the festival features world music and dance performances from a variety of genres with particular emphasis on folk and world music.
The Folk & Roots Festival began in 1998 and was coordinated solely by the Old Town School of Folk Music. Each year the event was held at Welles Park in Lincoln Square. The festival showcased a variety of performances from different musical traditions. For instance, in 2001, the festival hosted, among others, the Super Rail Band from Mali, Nigerian afrobeat musician Femi Kuti, and the Texan country band The Flatlanders. It also featured well-known folk performers as well, such as Patti Smith and Richard Thompson. The lineup of performances at Folk & Roots festivals have been described as "eclectic." In addition to performances, The Folk & Roots Festival also held dance workshops and events for children.

Plot: Harry's married to Marian and things are not going all that well, so he wants out but somehow feels that a divorce is not the answer. After developing a winning blackjack system, he hatches a plan that takes years of preparation: to fake his death, assume a new identity and win $500,000 at blackjack. When his wife notices his peculiar behavior, she is urged by her parents to hire a private investigator to find out what he is doing. In an unusual twist of events, Harry discovers the private investigator and not only hires him to keep tabs on his wife (whom he suspects is having an affair) but they become confidants. Harry carries out his fake suicide successfully and heads for Reno to complete the rest of his plan, but he doesn't count on meeting lovely Amy and falling in love. To further complicate matters, Amy is planning to leave for Israel and Harry decides to go with her, but en route the plane is hijacked and Harry must find a way to conceal both his $500,000 blackjack winnings and his true identity.

Plot: In the Wild Bunch the movie opens with a group of aging outlaw's final score, a bank robbery. The event concludes with a violent and overtly bloody shootout that would generally mark the finale of a movie. This is correct in that it marks the finale of an era, for the characters and the world they live in. They simply can no longer keep up, the times are changing, technology advancing, and they're style of life is getting left behind in the dust that they spent so long galloping through. They abandon their careers for the simpler life of retirement. They enjoy this time, they live their fantasies. During this time the law is always on their tracks, bounty hunters. The further into their fantasy they get, the closer their demise seems to get. When one of their own is captured they are faced with the choice of escape or what is certainly a suicide mission to attempt and free their fallen behind comrade. For them it is not a choice. They all die in what can only be described as a nauseatingly gore filled bloodbath of a battle. They might have succeeded in removing themselves from the wild west however they could not be separated what is inherently their nature. The west was only wild because the wild bunch were present, they influenced their surroundings, not the other way around. It is only after the final shoot out that the bounty hunters catch up with them, now only bullet riddled corpses. They never got caught, they could never get caught because they were already trapped in their own personalities. They turned themselves in to their instincts. The vacation, the fantasy, was bound to end and they knew it.

The woman finds a mystic entrance and is met by Death, who tells her three separate stories set in exotic locales, all involving circumstances similar to hers. In each story, a woman, trying to save her lover from his ultimate tragic fate, fails. The young lady realizes the meaning of the tales and takes the only step she can to reunite herself with her lover.

This video lecture will introduce you to concepts of Principal Stress, Principal Plane and Mohr's circle analysis. Here both 2D and 3D stress analysis using Mohr's circle method is explained well.
