Professional

A professional is a member of a profession or any person who earns their living from a specified activity. The term also describes the standards of education and training that prepare members of the profession with the particular knowledge and skills necessary to perform the role of that profession. In addition, most professionals are subject to strict codes of conduct enshrining rigorous ethical and moral obligations. Professional standards of practice and ethics for a particular field are typically agreed upon and maintained through widely recognized professional associations. Some definitions of "professional" limit this term to those professions that serve some important aspect of public interest and the general good of society.

In some cultures, the term is used as shorthand to describe a particular social stratum of well-educated workers who enjoy considerable work autonomy and who are commonly engaged in creative and intellectually challenging work.

Trades

In narrow usage, not all expertise is considered a profession. Although sometimes incorrectly referred to as professions, occupations such as skilled construction and maintenance work are more generally thought of as trades or crafts. The completion of an apprenticeship is generally associated with skilled labour, or trades such as carpenter, electrician, mason, painter, plumber and other similar occupations. A related distinction would be that a professional does mainly mental work, as opposed to engaging in physical work.

The Weeknd

Abęl Makkonen Tesfaye (born 16 February 1990), known professionally by his stage name The Weeknd (pronounced "the weekend"), is a Canadian singer, songwriter and record producer. In late 2010, Tesfaye anonymously uploaded several songs to YouTube under the name "The Weeknd". He released three nine-track mixtapes throughout 2011: House of Balloons, Thursday and Echoes of Silence, which were critically acclaimed. The following year, he released a compilation album Trilogy, thirty tracks consisting of remastered versions of the mixtape material and three additional songs. It was released under Republic Records and his own label XO.

In 2013, he released his debut studio album Kiss Land, which was supported by the singles "Kiss Land" and "Live For". His second album, Beauty Behind the Madness, which became his first number one album on the Billboard 200, included the top-five single "Earned It" and produced the number-one singles "The Hills" and "Can't Feel My Face". The songs have simultaneously held the top three spots on the Billboard Hot R&B Songs chart, making him the first artist in history to achieve this.

Phantom (UAV)

Phantom is a series of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) developed by the Chinese company DJI. These non-military quadcopters or drones are intended for recreational and commercial aerial cinematography and photography. The body frames are made of composite materials. Propulsion is provided by four two-blade propellers driven by four electric engines mounted at the ends of the x-shaped body.

Phantom 1

The Phantom 1, originally known as Phantom, was released in January, 2013. It was commonly equipped with a GoPro camera for amateur film making or photography. It was first ready-to-fly drone that used GPS. Its battery life was less than 10 minutes.

Phantom 2

The Phantom 2 was released in December, 2013. Upgrades include auto-return, increased flight speed, increased flight time and controllable range, increased battery capacity, smartphones, tablets and even some smart glasses compatibility, WI-FI module and is available in different performances. Its configuration allows users to remotely tilt the camera and adjust its orientation on two axes for a better level shot.

Skylar Nielsen

Skylar Nielsen (born 1975), is a photographer, cinematographer and director known for the films that he has produced. He heads Salt Lake City-based Vita Brevis Films, a company that creates short documentary films on a wide variety of subjects.

Nielsen was born in Zion, Utah, in 1975. He grew up on his family's farm, and after "an epiphany in the sheep corral" decided to move away from the farm and into the city to pursue photography and film making in 1993.

In 2004, Nielsen established Skylar Nielsen Studio, then in 2008 established Vita Brevis Films.

In 2009, the National Endowment for the Arts commissioned Nielsen for two commercials to air during Oscar week. The first commercial featured Chris Botti, a renowned jazz trumpeter. The second commercial, called "I'm Proud", featured actors and actresses delivering lines directly to the audience without a fourth wall present. Celebrities included David Hyde Pierce, Kerry Washington, Zooey Deschanel and Alyssa Milano, among many others.
