We have started the 1000 Joule homemade airgun challenge more than a year ago and increased the energy of our home made plumbing parts based arrow launcher very much since then, reaching 917 Joule as a maximum. But we had to stop the work when the fall came last year due to cold weather (bad for the performance of both rubber and compressed air). This year, we started with a new, optimized weapon and exceeded 550 fps with a regular crossbow bolt...
But in order to maximize the energy, we have replaced the smallish bolt against a solid stainless steel tube with an all steel tip, made from a professional grade center punch...

We are The Dale Tribe. A family of 6 that live in the mountains of Colorado. Jon (dad) is adventurous and goofy. Amy (mom) is a fan of Star Wars, beanies, Harry Potter, Kung Fu movies, comics, all things Korean....and lots of other things (can you tell who wrote this bio?). Anna (17) is an artist and has a stellar personality. Eli (14) is into parkour and skating. Shae (12) loves to sing and act (and, yes, she's really tall for her age). Aspen (10) is the joy bomb in the family. She has Type 1 Diabetes, but that doesn't slow her down at all! Coggs is the family pet. He is a sphynx which is a breed of hairless cat and we love him! Phoenix is a standard poodle who is going to be trained to be a Diabetic Alert Dog for Aspen who has Type 1 Diabetes. Our latest addition is General Iroh a Silver Bengal cat.

At Last
"At Last" is a 1941 song written by Mack Gordon and Harry Warren for the musical film Orchestra Wives, starring George Montgomery and Ann Rutherford. It was performed in the film and on record by Glenn Miller and his orchestra, with vocals by Ray Eberle and Pat Friday. Unreleased recordings of the song, however, had been made in 1941 by Glenn Miller for possible inclusion in the film Sun Valley Serenade. An orchestral version of the song without lyrics first appeared in that movie in 1941. A new version was recorded by Glenn Miller and His Orchestra in Chicago on May 20, 1942, and released by RCA Victor Records as a 78 single, catalogue number 27934-B, backed with the A side "(I've Got a Gal In) Kalamazoo". The song reached number 9 on the Billboard pop charts in 1942, staying on the charts for nine weeks, and later became a standard. In 1960, it was covered by blues singer Etta James in an arrangement by Riley Hampton that improvised on Warren's melody. James' version was the title track in the same-named album At Last! and was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1999.

Etta James
Etta James (born Jamesetta Hawkins; January 25, 1938 – January 20, 2012) was an American singer who spanned a variety of music genres including blues, R&B, soul, rock and roll, jazz and gospel. Starting her career in 1954, she gained fame with hits such as "The Wallflower", "At Last", "Tell Mama", "Something's Got a Hold on Me", and "I'd Rather Go Blind" for which she wrote the lyrics. She faced a number of personal problems, including drug addiction, before making a musical resurgence in the late 1980s with the album Seven Year Itch.
James is regarded as having bridged the gap between rhythm and blues and rock and roll, and was the winner of six Grammys and 17 Blues Music Awards. She was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993, the Blues Hall of Fame in 2001, and the Grammy Hall of Fame in both 1999 and 2008.Rolling Stone ranked James number 22 on their list of the 100 Greatest Singers of All Time and number 62 on the list of the 100 Greatest Artists.

Cyndi Lauper
Cynthia Ann Stephanie "Cyndi" Lauper (born June 22, 1953) is an American singer, songwriter, actress and LGBT activist. Her career has spanned over 30 years. Her debut solo album She's So Unusual (1983) was the first debut female album to chart four top-five hits on the Billboard Hot 100—"Girls Just Want to Have Fun", "Time After Time", "She Bop", and "All Through the Night" earned Lauper the Best New Artist award at the 27th Grammy Awards in 1985. Her success continued with the soundtrack for the motion picture The Goonies and her second record True Colors (1986). This album included the number one hit of the same name and "Change of Heart" which peaked at number 3.
Since 1989, Lauper has released nine studio albums and participated in many other projects. Her most recent album, Memphis Blues, became Billboard's most successful blues album of the year, remaining at #1 on the Billboard Blues Albums chart for 13 consecutive weeks. In 2013, Lauper won the Tony Award for Best Original Score for the Broadway musical Kinky Boots, making her the first woman in history to win the composing category by herself. She became the first artist in over 25 years to top the dance charts with a Broadway tune. In 2014, Lauper was awarded the Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album for the cast recording.

1000 Joule Airgun Record: Fallen! At last.
We have started the 1000 Joule homemade airgun challenge more than a year ago and increased the energy of our home made plumbing parts based arrow launcher very much since then, reaching 917 Joule as a maximum. But we had to stop the work when the fall came last year due to cold weather (bad for the performance of both rubber and compressed air). This year, we started with a new, optimized weapon and exceeded 550 fps with a regular crossbow bolt... But in order to maximize the energy, we have replaced the smallish bolt against a solid stainless steel tube with an all steel tip, made from a professional grade center punch... We are The Dale Tribe. A family of 6 that live in the mountains of Colorado. Jon (dad) is adventurous and goofy. Amy (mom) is a fan of Star Wars, beanies, Harry Potter, Kung Fu movies, comics, all things Korean....and lots of other things (can you tell who wrote this bio?). Anna (17) is an artist and has a stellar personality. Eli (14) is into parkour and skating. Shae (12) loves to sing and act (and, yes, she's really tall for her age). Aspen (10) is the joy bomb in the family. She has Type 1 Diabetes, but that doesn't slow her down at all! Coggs is the family pet. He is a sphynx which is a breed of hairless cat and we love him! Phoenix is a standard poodle who is going to be trained to be a Diabetic Alert Dog for Aspen who has Type 1 Diabetes. Our latest addition is General Iroh a Silver Bengal cat.
