Norway (i/ˈnɔːrweɪ/ NAWR-way; Norwegian: Norge (Bokmål) or Noreg (Nynorsk)), officially the Kingdom of Norway, is a sovereign and unitary monarchy whose territory comprises the western portion of the Scandinavian Peninsula plus the island Jan Mayen and the archipelago of Svalbard. The Antarctic Peter I Island and the sub-Antarctic Bouvet Island are dependent territories and thus not considered part of the Kingdom. Norway also lays claim to a section of Antarctica known as Queen Maud Land. Until 1814, the Kingdom included the Faroe Islands (since 1035), Greenland (1261), and Iceland (1262). It also included Shetland and Orkney until 1468.
Norway has a total area of 385,252 square kilometres (148,747 sq mi) and a population of 5,109,059 people (2014). The country shares a long eastern border with Sweden (1,619 km or 1,006 mi long). Norway is bordered by Finland and Russia to the north-east, and the Skagerrak Strait to the south, with Denmark on the other side. Norway has an extensive coastline, facing the North Atlantic Ocean and the Barents Sea.
Waste and wastes are unwanted or unusable materials. Waste is any substance which is discarded after primary use, or it is worthless, defective and of no use.
The term is often subjective (because waste to one person is not necessarily waste to another) and sometimes objectively inaccurate (for example, to send scrap metals to a landfill is to inaccurately classify them as waste, because they are recyclable). Examples include municipal solid waste (household trash/refuse), hazardous waste, wastewater (such as sewage, which contains bodily wastes (feces and urine) and surface runoff), radioactive waste, and others.
According to the Basel Convention,
Under the Waste Framework Directive, the European Union defines waste as "an object the holder discards, intends to discard or is required to discard."
There are many waste types defined by modern systems of waste management, notably including:
A machine is a tool containing one or more parts that uses energy to perform an intended action. Machines are usually powered by mechanical, chemical, thermal, or electrical means, and are often motorized. Historically, a power tool also required moving parts to classify as a machine. However, the advent of electronics has led to the development of power tools without moving parts that are considered machines.
A simple machine is a device that simply transforms the direction or magnitude of a force, but a large number of more complex machines exist. Examples include vehicles, electronic systems, molecular machines, computers, television, and radio.
The word machine derives from the Latin word machina, which in turn derives from the Greek (Doric μαχανά makhana, Ionic μηχανή mekhane "contrivance, machine, engine", a derivation from μῆχος mekhos "means, expedient, remedy").
A wider meaning of "fabric, structure" is found in classical Latin, but not in Greek usage.
This meaning is found in late medieval French, and is adopted from the French into English in the mid-16th century.
Baling is a major town in the northern state of Kedah in Malaysia. It is also the name of a district in which Baling town is situated. It is south of Betong, the southernmost town in Thailand.
The name Baling can be traced to a series of events detailed in the story of Raja Bersiong (The Fanged King), a popular legend of Kedah, recorded in the Hikayat Merong Mahawangsa. Raja Bersiong was a ruthless vampire-like king with a taste for human blood who preyed on his subjects. His subjects finally rose against him and burned down the palace. When the fanged king fled his palace at the Old Kedah capital in Lembah Bujang, he fled to a place named Merbau and began removing his fangs by twisting them by hand. As a result of the twisting act, Merbau was renamed as Merbau Pulas where pulas in Malay means twisting.
After the king had successfully removed both his fangs, he threw them away to a faraway place. The place where he stood when he threw his fangs is known as Baling which means throw and the place believed to be the site where the fangs landed was named Siong, which means fang in Malay, one of the villages in Baling district.

Everyone produces waste, and the Swedes are no different. It’s what they do with it that is unusual. Sweden recycles and sorts its waste so efficiently that less than 1 percent ends up in landfills. But perhaps even more interesting, and somewhat controversial, is that Sweden burns about as much household waste as it recycles, over 2 million tons, and converts this to energy. But even with this amount of domestic waste, the country’s 32 waste-to energy (WTE) incineration plants can handle even more. And when Sweden runs out of its own garbage, it offers a service to the rest of garbage-bloated Europe: importing excess waste from other countries.

Visit the DREAMER MOVIE site: http://tinyurl.com/dreamer2014 Sweden has just imported 881 thousand tons from Norway to satisfy its national hunger for trash. So why is the Scandinavian country so desperate for garbage? Because it burns the resource in high power incinerators to produce electricity. And like the monster plant in "The Little Shop of Horrors" movie, the country keeps screaming out for more. So, Sweden's found a good way to lower its environmental impact, right? Imagine greatly reducing, perhaps even eliminating the need for dirty fossil fuels. That must make the global warming types happy. But here's something to wipe that smile off their faces. The resulting ash can be more chemically potent than the original garbage. But that's not Sweden's problem. They just shi...

Instruction video for the automatic disposal system at St. Olavs Hospital, Trondheim Norway. Although the voice over is in Norwegian, the description should be easy to follow. The automatic waste system transports nearly 2000 tons of waste per year. Much of it goes to the garbage burning plant outside Trondheim and comes back as hot water for the area heating system. Other types of waste (batteries, bio hazard) are put in containers and transported by automated guided vehicles

Welcome to Oslo, the capital city of Norway. Centuries ago, Viking longships prowled the waters around Norway. Some of those longships survived the ensuing years and found their way to the Viking Ship Museum, which is a must-see on any Oslo tour. The three longships on display here have been recovered from various parts of the country, and the museum also contains a number of artifacts from the Viking Age. Norway’s rich connection to the sea did not stop with the Vikings, though; just over a mile away from the Viking Ship Museum are several other educational complexes dedicated to the salt water that flows through Oslo’s veins. Earlier this year, I went on this amazing trip to Iceland and Norway along with two of my friends. I have to say that it is one that we will never forget and I'm sure they share my sentiments. Right from the onset, things weren't going too well for us. We had to wear the same set of clothes for 3 days due to baggage delay. Then, we experienced the worst snow storm in years (according to our Airbnb host and a Northern Lights tour guide). Numerous flights were delayed/cancelled that day due to the extreme weather conditions in Iceland. Many vehicles were stuck on and along the main road as a result of the heavy snow (We had our very own encounter of skidding off the track and getting our vehicle stuck too). There was also one memorable experience when we almost got taken off our flight. Ne...

There is no rest for the wicked ones
dear god - what is this evil that we've done??
Is it that we wanted more than you gave
why did you put us then
in this smalltown grave
humility –is that what you want?
why did you make us then the way you did??
yes,
we have pride
yes,
we have pride –
is this our sin?
is this our sin?!
4 O'clock in the morning,
still we cannot sleep
turning overturning round twisting in our sweat
they say there is no rest for the wicked ones
dear god - what have we done?
there is no rest for the wicked ones
dear god - what is this evil that we've done??
Is it the times that we've been out fighting?well i'll tell you all those times –
we never really hurt anybody
or is it that we were eating
while other people were starving
is this our crime?
is this our crime??!
4 O'clock...
Is it the times we laughed about it all
through all those whisky nights so far away
yes,
we have betrayed you
yes,
we have betrayed you –
is this our crime?
is this our crime?!
