The Iron Mask is a 1929 American part-talkie adventure film directed by Allan Dwan starring Douglas Fairbanks. This is a 1952 rerelease featuring narration by Douglas Fairbanks, Jr. It is an adaptation of the last section of the novel The Vicomte de Bragelonne by Alexandre Dumas, père, which is itself based on the French legend of The Man in the Iron Mask.

Sinopse
Ollie (o Gordo) e Stan (o Magro) são dois desempregados que estão no cais quando um deles, Ollie, lê num jornal sobre o testamento de um milionário chamado Ebenezer Laurel. Sem demora os dois vão à mansão na esperança de que Stan seja reconhecido como herdeiro (embora ele não se lembre desse "tio") mas ao chegarem percebem que não há leitura de testamento e que a polícia suspeita de homicídio do milionário e investiga todos os parentes e empregados ali reunidos, atraídos pela notícia do jornal. As coisas se tornam mais misteriosas e perigosas quando os parentes começam a desaparecer.

La Maison de la peur (titre original : The Laurel-Hardy Murder Case) est une comédie américaine sortie le 6 septembre 1930. Le film est réalisé par James Parrott et met en scène le duo comique Laurel et Hardy. Le film est tourné sur trois bobines. Il s'agit du premier film dans lequel Hardy prononce la phrase de reproche à l'encontre de Laurel suivante « Here's another nice mess you've gotten me into », en français : « Tu m'as encore mis dans un beau pétrin ». Au cours des futurs films qu'ils tournent ensemble, cette phrase revient régulièrement puisque Oliver Hardy la prononce près de 17 fois.
Au cours du tournage, Stan Laurel et son épouse Lois Nelson perdent leur fils cadet âgé de neuf jours.
Synopsis:
Alors qu'ils sont en train de pêcher, le duo apprend dans le journal qu'un certain Ebeneezer Laurel vient de décéder. Ne parvenant plus à se souvenir si Stan lui est lié, ils décident tout de même d'aller voir la maison du défunt. Une fois sur place, ils se rendent compte qu'Ebeneezer a été assassiné et que la police a fait exprès de placer l'avis de décès dans le journal afin de faire réagir les gens et de trouver le coupable.

In Preston Sturges' classic comedy of Depression-era America, filmmaker John L. Sullivan (Joel McCrea), fed up with directing profitable comedies like "Ants in Your Plants of 1939," is consumed with the desire to make a serious social statement in his upcoming film, "Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?" Unable to function in the rarefied atmosphere of Hollywood, Sullivan decides to hit the road, disguised as a tramp, and touch base with the "real" people of America. But Sullivan's studio transforms his odyssey into a publicity stunt, providing the would-be nomad with a luxury van, complete with butler (Robert Greig) and valet (Eric Blore). Advised by his servants that the poor resent having the rich intrude upon them, Sullivan escapes his retinue and continues his travels incognito. En route, he meets a down-and-out failed actress (Veronica Lake). Experiencing firsthand the scroungy existence of real-life hoboes, Sullivan returns to Hollywood full of bleeding-heart fervor. After first arranging for the girl's screen test, he heads for the railyards, intending to improve the lot of the local rail-riders and bindlestiffs by handing out ten thousand dollars in five-dollar bills. Instead, Sullivan is coldcocked by a tramp, who steals Sullivan's clothes and identification. When the tramp is run over by a speeding train, the world at large is convinced that the great John L. Sullivan is dead. Meanwhile, the dazed Sullivan, dressed like a bum with no identification on his person, is arrested and put to work on a brutal Southern chain gang. With its almost Shakespearean combination of uproarious comedy and grim tragedy, Sullivan's Travels is Sturges' masterpiece and one of the finest movies about movies ever made.

A hairstyle tutorial with jhoomar/tikka & dupatta setting, perfect for an indian, pakistani or asian bride.
A black hair doughnut was used to create a bun, which was then covered with synthetic xpression hair to create this vintage hair style for a wedding. The synthetic xpression hair was brown, but this video was done only to demonstrate, for an actual client you would ensure that the synthetic hair matches the colour of your client's natural hair.
The front section of hair was back combed into a puff, and a maang tikka was secured in the middle. This hairstyle used minimum amount of backcombing and was done on medium length hair, but can easily be done on long or short hair too.
Asian brides usually wear a dupatta on their head, we demonstrated a dupatta style, and how to set and secure the dupatta onto the hair using U shaped bobby pins. The style of the dupatta with depend on your clients dress and preference on how she wants to wear it.

Alonzo M. "Lon" Poff (February 8, 1870 – August 8, 1952) was an American film actor. He appeared in 98 films between 1917 and 1951.
He was born in Bedford, Indiana, and died in Los Angeles, California. His grave is located in Glendale's Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Oliver Hardy
Oliver "Ollie" Hardy (born Norvell Hardy) (January 18, 1892 – August 7, 1957) was an American comic actor famous as one half of Laurel and Hardy, the classic double act that began in the era of silent films and lasted 25 years, from 1927 to 1951. He was credited with his first film, Outwitting Dad, in 1914. In some of his early works, he was billed as Babe Hardy, using his nickname.
Early life and education
Oliver Hardy was born Norvell Hardy in Harlem, Georgia. His father, Oliver, was a Confederate veteran who was wounded at the Battle of Antietam on September 17, 1862. After his demobilization as a recruiting officer for Company K, 16th Georgia Regiment, the elder Oliver Hardy assisted his father in running the vestiges of the family cotton plantation. He bought a share in a retail business and was elected full-time Tax Collector for Columbia County, Georgia. Norvell's mother, Emily Norvell, was the daughter of Thomas Benjamin Norvell and Mary Freeman, descended from Captain Hugh Norvell of Williamsburg, Virginia, who had arrived in Virginia before 1635. Hardy and Norvell had married March 12, 1890; it was the second marriage for the widow Emily, and the third for Oliver. He was of paternal English American descent and maternal Scottish American descent.

Douglas Fairbanks
Douglas Fairbanks (May 23, 1883 – December 12, 1939) was an American actor, screenwriter, director, and producer. He was best known for his swashbuckling roles in silent films such as The Thief of Bagdad, Robin Hood, and The Mark of Zorro but spent the early part of his career making comedies.
Fairbanks was a founding member of United Artists. Fairbanks was also a founding member of The Motion Picture Academy and hosted the first Oscars Ceremony in 1929. With his marriage to Mary Pickford in 1920, the couple became Hollywood royalty and Fairbanks was referred to as "The King of Hollywood", a nickname later passed on to actor Clark Gable.
Though widely considered as one of the biggest stars in Hollywood during the 10s and 20s, Fairbanks' career rapidly declined with the advent of the "talkies". His final film was The Private Life of Don Juan (1934).
Early life
Fairbanks was born Douglas Elton Thomas Ullman (spelled "Ulman" by Douglas Fairbanks, Jr. in his memoirs) in Denver, Colorado, the son of H. Charles Ullman (born September 15, 1833) and Ella Adelaide (née Marsh; born 1847). He had two half-brothers, John Fairbanks, Jr. (born 1873) and Norris Wilcox (February 20, 1876 - October 21, 1946), and a full brother, Robert Payne Ullman (March 13, 1882 – February 22, 1948).

Sullivan's Travels
Sullivan's Travels is a 1942 American comedy film written and directed by Preston Sturges. It is a satire about a movie director, played by Joel McCrea, who longs to make a socially relevant drama, but eventually learns that comedies are his more valuable contribution to society. The film features one of Veronica Lake's first leading roles. The title is a reference to Gulliver's Travels, the famous novel by satirist Jonathan Swift about another journey of self-discovery.
In 1990, Sullivan's Travels was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant."
Plot
John L. Sullivan (Joel McCrea) is a popular young Hollywood director of profitable but shallow comedies (e.g. Ants in Your Plants of 1939). Sullivan is dissatisfied despite his success and tells his studio boss, Mr. Lebrand (Robert Warwick) that he wants his next project to be a serious exploration of the plight of the downtrodden. He asks to make his next film an adaptation of O Brother, Where Art Thou?, a socially-conscious novel. Lebrand wants him to direct another lucrative comedy instead, but the idealistic Sullivan refuses to give in. He wants to "know trouble" first-hand, and plans to travel as a tramp so he can return and make a film that truly depicts the sorrows of humanity. His butler (Robert Greig) and valet (Eric Blore) openly question the wisdom of his plan.

Preston Sturges
Preston Sturges (/ˈstɜːrdʒɪs/; born Edmund Preston Biden; August 29, 1898 – August 6, 1959) was an American playwright, screenwriter, and film director. In 1941, he won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for the film The Great McGinty, his first of three nominations in the category.
Sturges took the screwball comedy format of the 1930s to another level, writing dialogue that, heard today, is often surprisingly naturalistic, mature, and ahead of its time, despite the farcical situations. It is not uncommon for a Sturges character to deliver an exquisitely turned phrase and take an elaborate pratfall within the same scene. A tender love scene between Henry Fonda and Barbara Stanwyck in The Lady Eve was enlivened by a horse, which repeatedly poked its nose into Fonda's head.
In recent years, film scholars such as Alessandro Pirolini have also argued that Sturges' cinema anticipated more experimental narratives by contemporary directors such as Joel and Ethan Coen, Robert Zemeckis, and Woody Allen, along with prolific The Simpsons writer John Swartzwelder: "Many of [Sturges'] movies and screenplays reveal a restless and impatient attempt to escape codified rules and narrative schemata, and to push the mechanisms and conventions of their genre to the extent of unveiling them to the spectator. See for example the disruption of standardized timelines in films such as The Power and the Glory and The Great McGinty or the way an apparently classical comedy such as Unfaithfully Yours (1948) shifts into the realm of multiple and hypothetical narratives."

FILM DESCRIPTION: In Preston Sturges' classic comedy of Depression-era America, filmmaker John L. Sullivan (Joel McCrea), fed up with directing profitable comedies like "Ants in Your Plants of 1939," is consumed with the desire to make a serious social statement in his upcoming film, "Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?" Unable to function in the rarefied atmosphere of Hollywood, Sullivan decides to hit the road, disguised as a tramp, and touch base with the "real" people of America. But Sullivan's studio transforms his odyssey into a publicity stunt, providing the would-be nomad with a luxury van, complete with butler (Robert Greig) and valet (Eric Blore). Advised by his servants that the poor resent having the rich intrude upon them, Sullivan escapes his retinue and continues his travels incognito. En route, he meets a down-and-out failed actress (Veronica Lake). Experiencing firsthand the scroungy existence of real-life hoboes, Sullivan returns to Hollywood full of bleeding-heart fervor. After first arranging for the girl's screen test, he heads for the railyards, intending to improve the lot of the local rail-riders and bindlestiffs by handing out ten thousand dollars in five-dollar bills. Instead, Sullivan is coldcocked by a tramp, who steals Sullivan's clothes and identification. When the tramp is run over by a speeding train, the world at large is convinced that the great John L. Sullivan is dead. Meanwhile, the dazed Sullivan, dressed like a bum with no identification on his person, is arrested and put to work on a brutal Southern chain gang. With its almost Shakespearean combination of uproarious comedy and grim tragedy, Sullivan's Travels is Sturges' masterpiece and one of the finest movies about movies ever made. Synopsis:
Alors qu'ils sont en train de pêcher, le duo apprend dans le journal qu'un certain Ebeneezer Laurel vient de décéder. Ne parvenant plus à se souvenir si Stan lui est lié, ils décident tout de même d'aller voir la maison du défunt. Une fois sur place, ils se rendent compte qu'Ebeneezer a été assassiné et que la police a fait exprès de placer l'avis de décès dans le journal afin de faire réagir les gens et de trouver le coupable.

La Maison de la peur (titre original : The Laurel-Hardy Murder Case) est une comédie américaine sortie le 6 septembre 1930. Le film est réalisé par James Parrott et met en scène le duo comique Laurel et Hardy. Le film est tourné sur trois bobines. Il s'agit du premier film dans lequel Hardy prononce la phrase de reproche à l'encontre de Laurel suivante « Here's another nice mess you've gotten me into », en français : « Tu m'as encore mis dans un beau pétrin ». Au cours des futurs films qu'ils tournent ensemble, cette phrase revient régulièrement puisque Oliver Hardy la prononce près de 17 fois.
Au cours du tournage, Stan Laurel et son épouse Lois Nelson perdent leur fils cadet âgé de neuf jours.
Synopsis:
Alors qu'ils sont en train de pêcher, le duo apprend dans le journal qu'un certain Ebeneezer Laurel vient de décéder. Ne parvenant plus à se souvenir si Stan lui est lié, ils décident tout de même d'aller voir la maison du défunt. Une fois sur place, ils se rendent compte qu'Ebeneezer a été assassiné et que la police a fait exprès de placer l'avis de décès dans le journal afin de faire réagir les gens et de trouver le coupable.

Advised by his servants that the poor resent having the rich intrude upon them, Sullivan escapes his retinue and continues his travels incognito. A hairstyle tutorial with jhoomar/tikka & dupatta setting, perfect for an indian, pakistani or asian bride.
A black hair doughnut was used to create a bun, which was then covered with synthetic xpression hair to create this vintage hair style for a wedding. The synthetic xpression hair was brown, but this video was done only to demonstrate, for an actual client you would ensure that the synthetic hair matches the colour of your client's natural hair.
The front section of hair was back combed into a puff, and a maang tikka was secured in the middle. This hairstyle used minimum amount of backcombing and was done on medium length hair, but can easily be done on long or short hair too.
Asian brides usually wear a dupatta on their head, we demonstrated a dupatta style, and how to set and secure the dupatta onto the hair using U shaped bobby pins. The style of the dupatta with depend on your clients dress and preference on how she wants to wear it.
