Lucky You is a 1997 novel by Carl Hiaasen. It is set in Florida, and recounts the story of JoLayne Lucks, a black woman who is one of two winners of a lottery.
The book parodies paranoid militia movement groups that believe in somewhat bizarre conspiracy theories. It also takes a satiric look at vendors in the fictional community of Grange, Florida, (based on the real community of Cassadaga) who proclaim various religious miracles.
A theatrical adaptation premiered in Edinburgh in 2008.
Newspaper reporter Tom Krome is sent to the small Florida town of Grange to interview JoLayne Lucks, an African-American veterinary assistant who holds one of two winning tickets to the Florida lottery. She consents to an interview, but politely declines to have a news story written about her.
The other winning lottery ticket is held by Bode Gazzer and his best friend "Chub," two unemployed white supremacist thugs. Bode is also the founder and self-proclaimed "leader" of a fledgling militia, which consists solely of himself and Chub. Unwilling to accept only half of the lottery's $28 million jackpot, Bode insists that they track down the owner of the other winning ticket. Discovering that this other winner is black seems to vindicate Bode's conspiracy theory that the United States government is doing everything it can to prevent "Christian white men" from receiving the benefits of the lottery, and makes his and Chub's next decision easy.

"Lucky (In My Life)" is a song by Italian group Eiffel 65. It was first released in June 2001 as the third single from their album, Contact!. The song reached the top 40 in Austria, Canada, and Italy.
Eiffel 65 first performed the song live at Festivalbar in 2001.
The Italian, Canadian and Spanish vinyl releases included 5 mixes of the song. On the German and French vinyl releases, however, it had one less mix of the song than the Italian and Spanish vinyl releases, which was the "Under Deal Trance Mix" by Alex Topuntoli. Some of the CD releases for the single include only two versions of the song, which is the radio edit and a DJ Vortronik radio cut. Some CD releases have six mixes of the song, and other CD releases include all 8 mixes.

Ray of Light is the seventh studio album by American singer Madonna, released on February 22, 1998 by Maverick Records. After giving birth to her first child, Lourdes, Madonna started working on the album with producers Babyface and Patrick Leonard. Following failed sessions with them, Madonna pursued a new musical direction with English producer William Orbit. The recording took place over four months and experienced problems with Orbit's hardware Pro Tools arrangement, which would break down, and recording would have to be delayed until they could be repaired.
A major departure from her previous work, Ray of Light is an electronica record which incorporates several genres, including techno, trip hop, drum and bass, ambient, rock, and classical music. Vocally, the album saw Madonna sing with greater breadth and a fuller tone. Mystical themes are also strongly present in both lyrics and music as a result of Madonna embracing Kabbalah, her study of Hinduism and Buddhism, as well as her daily practice of Hatha Yoga.
Skin is a contemporary Christian fiction science fiction/horror novel released in April 2007 by Ted Dekker. Dekker's novel, Skin was published by Thomas Nelson with the purpose to connect the Circle Trilogy, the Project Showdown books, and an upcoming series of books.
When three freak tornados hit the fictional, isolated town of Summervile in rural Nevada, the entire town is carried off by the storm, and five survivors find themselves at the mercy of a more ominous threat - a serial killer by the name of Sterling Red, who orders them to kill the ugliest of the group. As they struggle with determining what true beauty is, the FBI scrambles to determine Red's true identity and stop him. But they must hurry, because Red has promised that if his insane demands are not met in six hours, he'll begin his killing spree again.
Skin is the seventh album by singer/songwriter Melissa Etheridge, released in 2001 (see 2001 in music). During the singer's split from Julie Cypher, her companion of 12 years, Melissa Etheridge retreated to her home studio to pen songs about her searing pain and confusion. Skin peels back layers of Etheridge's pain and addresses her personal melodrama, as she takes the listener through the stages of grief and recovery. "Heal Me" features background vocals by Laura Dern and Meg Ryan. Etheridge plays almost all the instruments and penned all the songs.

There is one known outtake titled 'Whispers in the Heart' 'My Heart' or 'Heart Whispers'
CAT
When the news is all bad,
When you're sour and blue,
When you start to get mad
You should do what I do-
(The CAT mischievously lets the WHOS fall a few more feet)
WHOS
Aaah!
CAT IN THE HAT
Tell yourself
How lucky you are...
When your life's going wrong
When the fates are unkind
When you're limping along
And get kicked from behind
Tell yourself how lucky you are...
(THE CAT lets the WHOS fall a little more)
WHOS
Aaah!
CAT
Why decry a cloudy sky
An empty purse
A crazy universe?
My philosophy is simply
Things could be worse!
(The CAT sniffs the clover sneezes allergically - all over THE WHOS)
AH ... AH.. AH-CHOO!
(The WHOS react in disgust at being sneezed on)
WHOS
EWWW!
CAT
So be happy you're here.
Think of life as a thrill
CAT
And if worse comes to worse
(As we all know it will)
Thank your lucky star
You've gotten this far...
We're here in this beautiful theatre -
(To a child in the audience - obviously a rich kid!)
CAT
And you're in the first row!
(To audience)
How lucky to be in the theatre!
More lucky than you know!
You could have the luck of our hero
Whose luck has been running low
FOR CERTAIN!
Curtain!
(We see the huge pink clover field into which the WHOS have dropped)
HORTON
Oh, no!
CAT
How lucky you are!
How lucky, how lucky you are!
(THE CAT, WHOS and JOJO are gone, and HORTON stands alone)
HORTON
That bird let that clover drop somewhere inside
Of a great patch of clovers, one hundred miles wide!
I'll find it, I'll find it! I'll find it or bust!
I shall find my friends on their small speck of dust.
Yes, clover by clover by clover with care
I'll listen and I'll call, are you there?
Are you there? Are you there? Are you there?
(HORTON begins his search for the WHOS clover by clover .
He picks one up, carefully puts it to his ear, listens for a beat, then tosses it over his shoulder.
He repeats this, carefully listening and then tossing.
GERTRUDE MCFUZZ enters. Her tail is now magnificent!
She sings to HORTON, but he takes no notice because he is searching for the speck of dust)
