A short stop motion trailer from 2010, commissioned by YouTube to publicise an exhibition organised in partnership with the Guggenheim Museum, New York.
The brief was to allude to the eclectic, interesting and crazed content you expect to see each time you press play on YouTube. A series of worlds were created from the ground up, with production designer Graham Staughton and his team creating everything in the video by hand, including a (nearly) full size cave.

The brief was to allude to the eclectic, interesting and crazed content you expect to see each time you press play on YouTube. A series of worlds were created from the ground up, with production designer Graham Staughton and his team creating everything in the video by hand, including a (nearly) full size cave.

With a population of only 300,000, Iceland can feel like the most isolated place on earth, yet its capital Reykjavik, is only a three-hour flight from London and just under six from New York.
Reykjavik is relaxed and welcoming, yet possesses a cultural life that holds its own against other European capitals. Most buildings are built simple and low to beat the North Atlantic winds. However, the city is also graced with grand civic architecture inspired by Iceland’s natural beauty, such as the soaring central tower of Hallgrímskirkja.

Take a careful walk through the boiling landscape of Namafjall, lose yourself amid the lava pillars of Dimmuborgir, and peer into the caldera of Krafla Volcano.
Known as the Capital of the North, Akureyri is the perfect place to warm up and enjoy some creature comforts, before heading off into the wilds again. The ring road is dotted with trailheads that lead to 800 miles of hiking trails. The Four Mile Trail climbs the valley’s southern wall to two of Yosemite’s great outlooks, Glacier Point and Washburn Point. Further along the ring road is the trailhead for The Mist Trail, which offers stunning views of Vernal and Nevada Falls.
For thousands of years, the Ahwaneechee had villages throughout this valley, but it was at the base of Yosemite Falls where their great chief resided. Take the one-hour hike to the lower falls, or spend the day climbing all the way to the upper falls.
To the north of Yosemite Valley, is Tioga Road, one of the USA’s most scenic highways. Fill your lungs with alpine air at Olmsted Point, refresh yourself by the waters of Tenaya Lake, then spend the day at Tuolumne Meadow, the traditional summer hunting grounds of the Ahwaneechee.

Rome is the capital of Italy, and its largest city. The mixture of the modern city and the plethora of monuments, piazzas, villas, museums, churches, Egyptian obelisks, along with the Colosseum, the Forum and Vatican City results in an epic, glorious ambience that will have you hooked and anticipating your next visit.
The early history of Rome is legendary. According to tradition, the city was founded by Romulus, the twin of Remus. The twins decided to build a city, but in an argument Romulus killed Remus and established the city and named it after himself.
Rome is synonymous with history. Where else can you walk in the same footsteps as the Caesars, St Peter, the Popes, Michelangelo, Dante, Raphael to name but a few? Rome also served as the capital city of the Roman Kingdom, the Roman Republic and the Roman Empire.
The "Eternal City" of Rome is the largest open-air museum in all of Europe with dozens of must-see, photogenic sites. Major attractions in the City Center are shown on the metro map above.
Pantheon, RomeThe real charm of Rome is that you can easily walk to most sites. For example, after a mid-morning tour of the impressive Pantheon, one could stroll through Piazza Navona, enjoy a gelato in Campo De Fiori, then walk across the historic Ponte Sisto Bridge into Trastevere - Rome's oldest neighborhood - for an enjoyable lunch. Total miles walked? Less than three!
From Trastevere, it's only a 20-minute walk along the Tiber to the Vatican. After a tour of Saint Peter's Basilica, another short walk to Castel St. Angelo, where the best views of Rome are found atop that impressive castle.
As you can see, Rome is a walkable city, and by walking you get a real feel for the ambiance of Rome and the Italian way of life. Good, free walking maps are available all over the city, so hit the cobblestones.
Italy was certainly influenced by many powerful cultures and political forces over time, including the Byzantines, Etruscans and Greeks, but it was the world-changing impact of both the Roman civilization and the Italian Renaissance that contributed most-significantly to its status in the modern world.

Poco distanti, sul colle Aventino, troviamo due capolavori, sede degli svaghi della gens romana: Le terme di Caracalla (212-217), tra i più grandiosi esempi di bagni pubblici, e il Circo Massimo, dedicato alle corse delle bighe.

Last month, I went to Germany alone. I entered the country as lonely as a solo traveler could be. I ate alone, drank alone, and walked alone. But along the way, I met people, made new friends and rekindled old ones. By the time I left the country, I was no longer alone.
I had the opportunity to be hosted by several German friends around the country, I partied with them, drink with them, and hung out with them. I experienced the alternative culture in Berlin. I lost my bag in Cologne (http://blog.bucketlistly.com/post/132467427542/bag-stolen-germany-cologne). I celebrated my Birthday with a Pool match and a rap battle concert in Dresden. It was a hell of a ride.
As the saying goes, "Happiness is only real when shared". We, humans are social animals. No matter how independent we are, at the end of the day, we need our friends.. and good friends are everywhere if you know where to find them.
This is what I experienced in Germany. Enjoy.

Completed in 2000, this huge Ferris wheel is nearly 122 meters tall, and carries 32 gondolas. Each gondola holds approximately 25 passengers.
It takes 30 minutes for the London Eye to complete one revolution. In this time, it provides sweeping views across the city, and surrounding countryside up to 25 miles away.
The London Eye is open from 10am and operates well into the evening. Tickets are available from the attraction itself. However, because the London Eye welcomes more than three million visitors a year, it's wise to book tickets in advance.
