Osama bin Mohammed bin Awad bin Laden (/oʊˈsɑːmə bɪn moʊˈhɑːmᵻd bɪn əˈwɑːd bɪn ˈlɑːdən/; Arabic: أسامة بن محمد بن عوض بن لادن, usāmah bin muḥammad bin 'awaḍ bin lādin; March 10, 1957 – May 2, 2011) was the founder of al-Qaeda, the organization that claimed responsibility for the September 11 attacks on the United States, along with numerous other mass-casualty attacks against civilian and military targets. He was a Saudi Arabian, a member of the wealthy bin Laden family, and an ethnic Yemeni Kindite.
Bin Laden was born to the family of billionaire Mohammed bin Awad bin Laden in Saudi Arabia. He studied at university in the country until 1979, when he joined mujahideen forces in Pakistan fighting against the Soviet Union in Afghanistan. He helped to fund the mujahideen by funneling arms, money and fighters from the Arab world into Afghanistan, and gained popularity among many Arabs. In 1988, he formed al-Qaeda. He was banished from Saudi Arabia in 1992, and shifted his base to Sudan, until U.S. pressure forced him to leave Sudan in 1996. After establishing a new base in Afghanistan, he declared a war against the United States, initiating a series of bombings and related attacks. Bin Laden was on the American Federal Bureau of Investigation's (FBI) lists of Ten Most Wanted Fugitives and Most Wanted Terrorists for his involvement in the 1998 U.S. embassy bombings.
September 11 is the 254th day of the year (255th in leap years) in the Gregorian calendar. There are 111 days remaining until the end of the year.
It is usually the first day of the year in the Coptic calendar and Ethiopian calendar (in the period AD 1900 to AD 2099).

Qatar-based Al Jazeera television, the only TV station allowed to broadcast out of Kabul has broadcast pictures of Osama bin Laden, head of the Al-Qaeda organisation together with Ayman El-Zawahere, the head of Egyptian Islamic Jihad and thought by many security analysts to be bin Laden's second-in-command. The footage was shot in daylight before the air raids on Afghan targets which began after nightfall on Sunday. It seems clear that it was a pre-recorded statement prepared in the event of airstrikes. Bin Laden, who speaks directly into the camera, does not claim responsibility for the September 11 attack on the World Trade Centre, but praises the people who carried it out. He refers to the international coalition ranged against Al-Qaeda and their Taliban protectors, and refers t...

Bëhet fjalë për 41 vjeçarin që ka folur shpesh në media gjatë asaj kohe, për momentin kur tërhoqi këmbëzën dhe vrau një nga njerëzit më të kërkuar në botë. Sikurse 41 vjeçari ka shkruar se momenti i vrasjes së Binladenit ka qenë i jashtëzakonshëm për të: “Kur hymë brenda atyre ambiente menduam se po përjetonim historinë. http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article7204.htm REPORTER: Mr. Bin Ladin, tell us about your experience during the Afghan war and what did you do during that jihad? BIN LADIN: Praise be to God, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds, that He made it possible for us to aid the Mujahidin in Afghanistan without any declaration for jihad. It was rather the news that was broadcast by radio stations that the Soviet Union invaded a Muslim country. This was a sufficient motivation for me to start to aid our brothers in Afghanistan. I have benefited so greatly from the jihad in Afghanistan that it would have been impossible for me to gain such a benefit from any other chance and this cannot be measured by tens of years but rather more than that, Praise and Gratitude be to God. The Spy Of Bin Laden In America - Geographic History. There is no universally accepted standard for transliterating Arabic words and Arabic names into English; however, bin Laden's name is most frequently rendered "Osama bin Laden". The FBI and Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), as well as other U.S. governmental agencies, have used either "Usama bin Laden" or "Usama bin Ladin". Less common renderings include "Ussamah bin Ladin" and, in the French-language media, "Oussama ben Laden". Other spellings include "Binladen" or, as used by his family in the West, "Binladin". The decapitalization of bin is based on the convention of leaving short prepositions, articles, and patronymics uncapitalized in surnames; the nasab bin means "son of". The spellings with o and e come from a Persian-influenc...
