New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman announces a lawsuit against Spectrum-Time Warner, claiming the company didn't deliver advertised internet speeds
My neighbor knocked on my door and asked if they could run a cable through my backyard while they were installing the internet. I figured it was a power cable or something for equipment on the truck and that when they were done installing it would be gone....NOPE! this is their cable management solution! what? are you just gonna leave it there? you aren't gonna come back and try and bury it? is this what passes for acceptable? Full explanation in the description. Okay so I decided that I was going to change my service from 300 Download & 20 Upload since that was a bit overkill for what I am currently doing. So I called Brighthouse aka Spectrum to see their new plans and offers. (1st Call) The sales rep told me about the 100D/10U plan which was perfect for what I wanted. But they told me my current modem was not coded to Brighthouse so I would need to change to a "Spectrum Modem which would cost $150. I explained I had a customer owned modem and I was going to switch to that to avoid the fee which the sales rep said was perfectly fine. (ATM) I didn't have the powercord for the modem so I had to call back later. (2nd Call) I talked to the sales rep and hooked up my modem. The rep asked why was I switching modem...

In May 24, 2011 Time Warner Cable made the (bad) decision to move several channels from their analog lineup over to their digital lineup requiring customers who desire to watch those channels to rent a (expensive) digital cable box. The channels that were moved to digital included: Travel Channel TV Guide (A really bad move considering the channel was generally used by basic cable customers as a TV guide to see what was on. Digital cable customers already have a guide and therefore don't watch this channel anyways.) Milwaukee: TruTV (Court TV) CSPAN2 Kenosha/Plymouth: Hallmark Kenosha: MPTV 36 (PBS Ch 16/36 OTA)

This is cell phone video I shot of the Time Warner Center and Trump International Hotel and Tower on Columbus Circle in Manhattan. Time Warner Center includes two skyscrapers designed by David Childs of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. It features a pair of 750 ft twin towers bridged by a multi-story atrium containing upscale retail shops. Construction began in November 2000, following the demolition of the New York Coliseum, and a topping-out ceremony was held on February 27, 2003. Trump International Hotel and Tower is a single skyscraper located between Central Park West and Broadway. It's approximately 550 feet high and has 52 floors. Shop around for deals, especially outside of the summer months, and be prepared to stay in the suburbs of Burbank, Glendale or North Hollywood and drive in if you want to save even more. The Los Angeles hotels are grouped into three pricing categories: Luxury (over US$300) Moderate (US$150 to US$300) Cheap (up to US$150) These Los Angeles hotel prices are for a double room, per night, excluding breakfast and tax, unless otherwise specifi...
Columbus Circle is one of the fun, free places to go in New York City in the spring and summer. It's like a mini-version of Times Square - only much less crowded and without all the neon. Columbus Circle is the center of a lot of activity during pleasant weather because it's the hub for some of New York City's most famous streets and thoroughfares, including Broadway. It's located at the southwestern tip of Central Park, so it draws traffic from Central Park tourists and visitors. It's also just a few blocks from the theater district of Manhattan that most people simply call "Broadway." It's also just a few feet away from the area on Central Park South where the popular horse drawn carriages wait to be hired for leisurely rides through the Park. Dozens of restaurants and shops surrou...

I have another horrifying Time Warner Cable story to tell... When I moved to my own place and switched my parent's internet back to standard as they took over the bill and did not need Ultimate 200 internet, I also switched back their old modem and router. TWC apparently did not get things right when they provisioned the modem as the upload speed (or the connection in general) was awful and unstable. Now of course I did not know this was the issue all along, otherwise this may have not been dragged on for several days. After listening in to this rant and overview of the whole situation, feel free to listen in on both of the phone calls I made to tech support with TWC: Call 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t6RK_763WJU Call 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L3_aM5v0mZ0 ----------------...
