Klinik

Klinik, (sometimes called The Klinik), is an industrial music band from Belgium, originally formed around 1982 by electro-synthpop practitioner Marc Verhaeghen, who is the only constant member.

History

Marc Verhaeghen originally formed Klinik in the early-to-mid 1980s; the exact date varies depending on the source. The group is normally described as one of the most influential Belgian industrial bands in history.

In 1985, Verhaeghen joined forces with two other bands, Absolute Body Control (with Dirk Ivens and Eric van Wonterghem), and "The Maniacs" (Sandy Nys) to form one "super group" "Absolute Controlled Clinical Maniacs". This rather unwieldy name was soon dropped in favour of the shorter name "The Klinik". Nys soon left the band to form "Hybryds", followed in 1987 by van Wonterghem, leaving The Klinik as the "classic" duo of Dirk Ivens and Marc Verhaeghen.

The Klinik soon made a name for themselves with their cold and harsh EBM sound and their live shows, where both Ivens and Verhaeghen performed with their heads wrapped in gauze, wearing long black leather coats. Ivens' hissing vocals and minimalist lyrics were complemented by Verhaeghen's synthesizer skills and distorted trombone playing. This however, did not last forever; after Time, an album neither member was fully pleased with, musical differences became too great, and they decided to go their separate ways. In a 2013 interview, Ivens said the due were moving in different directions musically, and that compromise between only two members was challenging.

Touch (Miss A album)

Touch is the first mini album by South Korean-Chinese girl group Miss A. It was released on February 20, 2012. The album contains six new tracks. The song Touch served as its lead single.

Only track no.1: Touch and track no.5: Over U were later added on Miss A's second album Hush

Background

Miss A announced their comeback in Korea with a new mini-album called "Touch", that is confirmed to be released on February 20, 2012. On February 19, 2012, the music video was uploaded to YouTube through Miss A's official channel and gained over one million views in two days.

Release and promotion

The full mini-album was released on February 20, 2012. Promotions for "Touch" began on February 23, 2012, on M! Countdown. They ended their promotions by performing the second single "Over U" during their last week leading towards April 1, 2012.

Touch (band)

Touch was a rock band from New York City formed in 1978. Mark Mangold (songwriter and keyboards), Glen Kithcart (drums), and Craig Brooks (guitars) had all previously been in the band American Tears (releasing three albums on Columbia Records). The lineup was completed by bassist Doug Howard.

Career

Their single, "Don't You Know What Love Is" only reached #69 on the Billboard Hot 100. However, the song was played heavily on AOR radio stations in the USA at the end of the 1970s, and did well on a specialist Melody Maker chart in Great Britain. The band released one eponymous album in 1980, and a second unreleased album was recorded in 1982.

Touch was the first band to play at the inaugural Monsters of Rock festival at Castle Donington racetrack in 1980. A live version of "Don't You Know What Love Is" appeared on the compilation LP Monsters of Rock, documenting performances at the festival.

Post break-up

Mark Mangold has continued to write and record with and for other artists, with one of his earliest collaborators being a then-relatively unknown musician named Michael Bolton. This working relationship began when Mangold co-wrote and performed on Bolton's first solo hit, "Fool's Game," which was featured on the latter artist's self-titled 1983 solo album. The song "I Found Someone," another collaboration with Bolton, was initially recorded by Laura Branigan, though it ultimately became a top 10 hit for Cher.

Feel (Namie Amuro album)

Feel (stylized as FEEL) is the eleventh studio album and second bilingual album by Japanese recording artist Namie Amuro, released by Dimension Point through Avex Trax on July 10, 2013. After launching Dimension Point in early 2013, Amuro recorded new material with both Japanese and International producers and songwriters in both Japan and Los Angeles, California. The album is predominantly a pop music album which orientates into dance-pop, house music, rave and other various EDM elements. The album's lyrical content regards love, partying, relationships, self-empowerment and courage. Amuro promoted the album with her Namie Amuro Feel 2013 concert tour.

The album received generally favourable reviews from contemporary music critics, many of whom commended Amuro's progression with international producers, and their production work on the album, alongside the composition and fluidity. However, some critics had criticized Amuro's incomprehensible English pronunciation. Feel became Amuro's eighth number one album on the Japanese Oricon Albums Chart and was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) for shipments of 250,000 units, and sold over 400,000 units in total. The album also charted in South Korea and Taiwan at twenty-five and six, respectively. Feel finished at number six on the Best Selling Albums of 2013 in Japan.

Feel (Robbie Williams song)

"Feel" is a song by British singer-songwriter Robbie Williams. It was released on December 2, 2002 as the lead single from his fifth studio album, Escapology. The song became an international hit, reaching the top of the charts in Austria, Poland, Germany, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, and top five positions in countries such as Denmark, Ireland and the United Kingdom.

Background

"Feel" was written by Robbie Williams and Guy Chambers. According to Williams, most of the vocals are from the original demo recording, as he felt unsatisfied with the re-recorded vocals. He commented, "I just couldn't sing it as well as I did on that day."

Music video

The video shows Williams in a cowboy-like lifestyle. It gained some attention in the United States thanks to Daryl Hannah's appearance as Williams's love interest. There were two versions of the same video, one shot in black and white and the other in colour.

Chart performance

The song was aimed to become the Christmas number-one in the United Kingdom, but peaked at #4. It still spent four weeks inside the Top 10, however. "Feel" became Williams's biggest international hit and his best selling single in Europe: the song topped the charts in Argentina, Hungary, Italy, India, Latvia, Portugal and the Netherlands. The song was also successful in Mexico and in Canada, where it reached in the Top 10 and spent a total of 54 weeks in the chart. Despite Williams's major success in the most of the world, "Feel" failed to reach the Billboard Hot 100 in the USA. To date, "Feel" has sold 245,000 copies in the UK.

Feel (Glenn Hughes album)

Feel is a studio album by former Deep Purple, Black Sabbath and Trapeze vocalist/ bassist Glenn Hughes. It was released in 1995 on Zero Corporation and SPV records and was Hughes’ fourth solo studio album.

History

Feel is an album Hughes’ claims he made for himself, as he was 'tired of being told what to do' . It is distinctive to Hughes’ other work in that the album has more of a pop, soul and funk sound rather than the hard rock he is generally known for.

This CD marks the first collaboration between Hughes and Pat Thrall since the 1982 Hughes/Thrall album, Thrall plays guitar on eight of the thirteen tracks and co-wrote two of them. Also performing on the album are former Guns N' Roses, now Velvet Revolver drummer Matt Sorum, former Stevie Wonder keyboardist Greg Phillinganes and guitarists Bruce Gowdy and George Nastos.

This is the first solo studio album Hughes made that featured his bass playing on every track since 1977's Play Me Out.

Feel features a cover of the Stevie Wonder song Maybe Your Baby from Talking Book. The Japanese version of the album also includes a new recording of the Deep Purple track Holy Man, which originally featured on Stormbringer.

Justice, born Lauren Justice, is an American female pop recording artist.

Music

Her debut single, "Find A Way" (March 2012), a pop dance track feat. Sean-Gemini, reached #30 on the TOP 40 Billboard Indicator Chart and was featured for nine consecutive weeks.

JUSTICE's second radio single, "By My Side" (March 2013), reached #34 on the TOP 40 Billboard Indicator chart. The music video also released March 19, 2013, receiving over 900,000 YouTube views.
