This is a Secret Turtle Island hidden of the coast of Zamboanga Del Sur...
Most people will associate "Turtle Island" with Apo Island near Dumaguete. But this place in Pitogo, Zamboanga Del Sur is raw, local and incredibly beautiful. We had no connections and no support to get here. One of our friends in Pagadian City told us about it, so we all adventured together to the Municipal Hall in Pitogo, got some information, signed in for permission and then adventured to find it...
IT WAS AMAZING!
This place was so raw and beautiful...
CHECK IT OUT! I can't describe it. And at the very end when we were leaving... Turtles came out to play! I was so overwhelmed and we didn't want to disturb the turtles (we had to boat through their pack) so we only took a few quick shots and then let them be :)

The first and only organized trip we've made on Bali. We went down to South Kuta's west coast where all the snorkeling trips, etc. seems to start. After snorkeling in a strong current without any good sight we went back to the beach to go by glass bottom boat which turned out to be at the same spot with even less sight. And last but not least Turtle Island, where a kind of entertainer sees already from which country you are and chases you through and puts every moving or not moving animal on your arm or shoulder!

Island
An island /ˈaɪlənd/ or isle /ˈaɪl/ is any piece of sub-continental land that is surrounded by water. Very small islands such as emergent land features on atolls can be called islets, skerries, cays or keys. An island in a river or a lake island may be called an eyot or ait, or a holm. A grouping of geographically or geologically related islands is called an archipelago, e.g. the Philippines.
An island may be described as such despite the presence of an artificial land bridge, for example Singapore and its causeway, or the various Dutch delta islands, such as IJsselmonde. Turtle
Turtles are reptiles of the order Testudines (or Chelonii) characterised by a special bony or cartilaginous shell developed from their ribs and acting as a shield. "Turtle" may refer to the order as a whole (American English) or to fresh-water and sea-dwelling testudines (British English).
The order Testudines includes both extant (living) and extinct species. The earliest known members of this group date from 157 million years ago, making turtles one of the oldest reptile groups and a more ancient group than snakes or crocodilians. Of the 327 known species alive today, some are highly endangered.
Turtles are ectotherms—their internal temperature varies according to the ambient environment, commonly called cold-blooded. However, because of their high metabolic rate, leatherback sea turtles have a body temperature that is noticeably higher than that of the surrounding water.
Turtles are classified as amniotes, along with other reptiles, birds, and mammals. Like other amniotes, turtles breathe air and do not lay eggs underwater, although many species live in or around water.

This is a Secret Turtle Island hidden of the coast of Zamboanga Del Sur... Most people will associate "Turtle Island" with Apo Island near Dumaguete. But this place in Pitogo, Zamboanga Del Sur is raw, local and incredibly beautiful. We had no connections and no support to get here. One of our friends in Pagadian City told us about it, so we all adventured together to the Municipal Hall in Pitogo, got some information, signed in for permission and then adventured to find it...
