Unleash (song)

"Unleash" is a Soulfly song, released from the 2008 album Conquer. This single, along with music video, was released a month before the album's release and was the album's first of two singles. Dave Peters (member of Throwdown) is the guest vocalist, and helped Max Cavalera write lyrics prior to the recording.

Cavalera's wishful thoughts

Max Cavalera quoted on the Roadrunner website about his appreciation with Dave Peters, "To work with David was a trip. The song's a full assault, and it feels really natural. It's got that uncompromising attitude." He also had wishful thoughts about this song, "It's the closest thing I've done to Pantera. Dave put some killer lyrics to the music. The fast part at the end is my favorite part on the album."

Lyrics and composition

The song is about unleashing war multiple times to make the war progressively more devastating. As a result, 'unleash' is said sixteen times in the lyrics, twelve are used in verb phrases per line three times each: 'unleash war', 'unleash my wrath', 'unleash revenge', and 'unleash my hell'; the remaining four is as the lone word per line, sung right before the song ends. The lyric also features eight consecutive idioms in order: 'war after war', 'hell after hell', 'scum after scum', 'hill after hills', 'pig after pig', 'stone after stone', 'doom after doom' and 'hate after hate'.

Adventure Club is a Canadian electronic dance music duo composed of Christian Srigley and Leighton James, based out of Montreal, Quebec.

History

The duo formed while attending high school in Montreal as a hardcore pop-punk band, but later decided to move onto the more electronic sound of electronic dance music (EDM) after simply getting bored with the pop-punk sound.

The first song to put the duo on the map was their remix of the song "Daisy" from the studio album Daisy (2009) by the American alternative-rock band Brand New, which was put on The Hype Machine, an MP3 blog aggregator website.

Some of the major influences to their sound include Tiësto, Flux Pavilion, Greeley Estates, Bring Me the Horizon and Skrillex. The duo's signature sound includes high-pitched female vocals with electronic sounds and heavy drops. Through online social network sites, the duo were able to reach new levels of exposure by getting their first music video on the UKF Dubstep's YouTube channel. As of November 2012, the music video to the remix of "Everything to Me" by LIPS has over 2 million views and was produced and directed by Cedric Sequerra of LuckyFish Productions. All of the props, including weapons, helmets & monsters were made by hand by the cast and crew.

Napalm Records is an Austrian independent record label focused on heavy metal and hard rock.

Originally, Napalm Records focused mainly on black metal acts such as Abigor and Summoning and folk metal bands such as Falkenbach and Vintersorg. Later on, Napalm Records expanded its roster by adding gothic metal, symphonic metal, power metal and doom metal, as well as the electronic metalcore band Beyond All Recognition, to their roster. Napalm Records has also distributed stoner rock albums, such as Monster Magnet, Karma to Burn, and Brant Bjork works.
