Major League Baseball (MLB) is a professional baseball league. A total of 30 teams now play in two divisions, the American League (AL) and National League (NL), with 15 teams in each. The AL and NL operated as separate legal entities from 1901 and 1876 respectively, until 2000, when they were merged into a single organization known as Major League Baseball. After cooperating but remaining legally separate entities since 1903, in 2000 the leagues merged into a single organization led by the Commissioner of Baseball. The organization also oversees minor league baseball leagues, which comprise about 240 teams affiliated with the major-league clubs. With the World Baseball Softball Confederation, MLB manages the international World Baseball Classic tournament.
Baseball's first professional team was founded in Cincinnati in 1869. The first few decades of professional baseball were characterized by rivalries between leagues and by players who often jumped from one team or league to another. The period before 1920 in baseball was known as the dead-ball era; players rarely hit home runs during this time. Baseball survived a conspiracy to fix the 1919 World Series, which came to be known as the Black Sox Scandal. The sport rose in popularity in the 1920s, and survived potential downturns during the Great Depression and World War II. Shortly after the war, baseball's color barrier was broken by Jackie Robinson.

Fox Sports is the brand name for a number of sports channels, broadcast divisions, programming, and other media around the world that are either controlled or partially owned by the family of Rupert Murdoch. These assets are held mainly by 21st Century Fox, with the exception of the operations in Australia, which are part of News Corp Australia. (21st Century Fox and News Corp are the two companies resulting from the breakup of the larger News Corporation in mid-2013; the Murdoch family retains voting control of both entities.)
The name originates from the Fox Broadcasting Company in the United States, which in turn was derived from the name of the Fox Film Corporation (later 20th Century Fox). The Fox Sports name has since been used in 21st Century Fox's and News Corp's other sports media assets around the world.

Baseball is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of nine players each who take turns batting and fielding.
The batting team attempts to score runs by hitting a ball that is thrown by the pitcher with a bat swung by the batter, then running counter-clockwise around a series of four bases: first, second, third, and home plate. A run is scored when a player advances around the bases and returns to home plate.
Players on the batting team take turns hitting against the pitcher of the fielding team, which tries to prevent runs by getting hitters out in any of several ways. A player on the batting team who reaches a base safely can later attempt to advance to subsequent bases during teammates' turns batting, such as on a hit or by other means. The teams switch between batting and fielding whenever the fielding team records three outs. One turn batting for both teams, beginning with the visiting team, constitutes an inning. A game comprises nine innings, and the team with the greater number of runs at the end of the game wins. Baseball is the only major team sport in America with no game clock, although almost all games end in the ninth inning.
The Yankees–Red Sox rivalry is asports rivalry between the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox baseballteams of Major League Baseball (MLB). The two teams have competed in MLB'sAmerican League (AL) for over 100 years and have since developed one of the fiercest rivalries in sports.
Sorry that it took so long to get this one out. I'll try my best to upload the June version as soon as the month ends. NOTE: I've valued and changed the criteria for the chosen plays, so you won't see your regular laying out catch that you would expect any major league player to do. But only the phenomenal ones, in this case you won't see one play from each MLB team, but don't get mad... Hopefully someone from the team you cheer for will make a tremendous catch next month :)

We created five high energy montages highlighting Fox Sports' regional coverage of Major League Baseball. Each spot features one powerhouse team and shows off its current roster of star athletes and beloved mascots. The campaign design was inspired by the classic offset printing technique found in old-school baseball programs and team flyers. Bold graphics, raw textures, quick edits, and the explosive impact of a home-run hit helped bring this unique sports package together for our friends at FOX.

The design was informed by the raw, off-set printing technique found in classical baseball programs and team flyers. Bold graphics, raw textures, quick cuts and a good dose of "sausage racing" [and what's better than competition between encased meats!] helped bring this unique sports package together for our friends at FOX.
"The one constant through all the years has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It's been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt, and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game, is a part of our past. It reminds us of all that once was good, and what could be again." A conversation with Major League Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred ’83, moderated by Professor Michael Klarman.
I wish time was on our side
But your clock hands have got the best of me
I only hope that when I come back
You'll finally be ready for me
And I hope and I pray that you're sorry
And I hope that you know that I'm sorry
Cos I never thought I would be here
No I never thought I would be here
And I hope and I pray that you're sorry
And I hope that you know that I'm sorry
Well maybe this could be our year
So this is it, I'm coming home
I wonder if you spent this time alone
I'm the only one who cares
Well maybe I'm better on my own
And I hope and I pray that you're sorry
And I hope that you know that I'm sorry
Cos I never thought I would be here
No I never thought I would be here
And I hope and I pray that you're sorry
And I hope that you know that I'm sorry
I don't think this will be our year
I'm going to take the time to remind you
When you act like this, I despise you
I wrote this to let you know
I'm going to use this time to forget you
Cos I wish that I never met you
I wrote this to let you know
That I'm better off on my own
This was never my plan
But I hope that we could become friends
It wasn't you, it was me, I'll take the blame
Well you can go back to hell
Every word you say was a lie, I can tell
It wasn't me, it was you, so here's the blame
As a song in your name
I'm going to take the time to remind you
When you act like this, I despise you
I wrote this to let you know
I'm going to use this time to forget you
Cos I wish that I never met you
I wrote this to let you know
That I'm better off on my own
I wrote this to let you know
