Melanie Moore (born September 17, 1991) is an American actress and professional dancer best known as the winner of the eighth season of the U.S. reality television competition So You Think You Can Dance. According to the results announced on the broadcast, Moore won "overwhelmingly", garnering 47% of the vote in a four-way final tally.
Moore was educated in Marietta, Georgia, where she attended Lassiter High School and was crowned homecoming queen. At the time of the competition, she was a 19-year-old college freshman attending Fordham University at Lincoln Center in New York City. Moore trained and competed for twelve years in Marietta at Rhythm Dance Center. She later left college to continue her dance training in Marietta. Moore won the National JUMP Senior Female VIP.
Moore appears on the Oxygen TV show, "All the Right Moves," as a member of the Shaping Sound Dance Company. She also appeared on Glee, season 4, as a dance pupil enrolled at NYADA.
Melanie originated the role of Peter Pan in Finding Neverland on Broadway at the Lunt-Fontanne Theater. In 2015, she was nominated for the Fred and Adele Astaire "Best Female Dancer" Award for her work in the role. She now plays the role of Chava in the 2015 Broadway revival of Fiddler on the Roof.
Amanda Leigh "Mandy" Moore (born April 10, 1984) is an American singer-songwriter and actress. Moore first came to prominence with her 1999 debut single, "Candy", which peaked at number 41 on the Billboard Hot 100. After singing with Epic Records, she released her first album, So Real, in 1999. It went on to receive a Platinum certification from the RIAA. Her 2000 single, "I Wanna Be with You", became her first Top 30 song in the US, peaking at number 24 on the Hot 100 chart. The parent album of the same name was released that same year to generally mixed reviews. The album went on to achieve Gold certification. After revealing her displeasure with her early works, Moore's self-titled third album, Mandy Moore (2001), featured a change of sound that drifted away from her "bubblegum pop" roots. The album spawned the single "In My Pocket", which became her third Top 20 song in Australia. The album itself was her final album to be certified by the RIAA, receiving a Gold certification.

Since opening the latest revival of Fiddler on the Roof, Alexandra Silber, Samantha Massell, and Melanie Moore have become Broadway's favorite sisters. As Tzeitel, Hodel, and Chava, respectively, their familial chemistry is evident when they sing Sheldon Harnick's signature trio "Matchmaker" on the stage of the Broadway Theatre. However, their bond is even more palpable when the women deliver the number while scratching longingly on the glass walls of a recording booth. Go inside the making of the Broadway cast album — available March 10 exclusively at the Broadway Theatre and in stores March 18 — and see history in the making as these powerful ladies lay down another "Matchmaker" for the books.

Melanie Moore saw how hard it was for women to find appropriate, comfortable and most importantly affordable clothing for the workplace. We talked to her about how she grew from designing a few pieces for family and friends (and friends of friends) into a thriving seasonal subscription service. Fiddler On The Roof. I got to briefly meet Melanie Moore in NYC.
A whole new generation is falling in love with Fiddler on Broadway. Now see the stars of the heralded revival — Danny Burstein (Tevye), Jessica Hecht (Golde), Adam Kantor (Motel) and Melanie Moore (Chava) — and legendary lyricist Sheldon Harnick discuss this beloved musical with moderator Alisa Solomon (author of Wonder of Wonders: A Cultural History of Fiddler on the Roof). And a special treat: Adam Kantor, who won praise in the Times for his “ecstatic performance,” sings “Miracle of Miracles.” Subscribe for more videos like this: http://bit.ly/1GpwawV Facebook: http://facebook.com/92ndStreetY Twitter: https://twitter.com/92Y Tumblr: http://92y.tumblr.com/ Instagram: http://Instagram.com/92ndStreetY Vine: https://vine.co/92Y On Demand: http://www.92yondemand.org

Session from GEO's 2011 Learning Conference. Presenter is Melanie Moore from See Change, Inc. Storytelling is simultaneously the favorite and most-hated buzzword of the moment in philanthropy. We tell stories, but then what? Do we actually use the stories we tell and hear? How? Are stories part of philanthropy's core business, or peripheral? Why? Are some stories worth the telling, while others should be ignored? How do we know the difference? This thought-provoking talk by Melanie Moore explores the inherent value of storytelling for advancing philanthropic goals, critique the ways we currently use and misuse stories in our work presently, and suggest a rigorous approach to storytelling for both story creators and story "consumers."
